Los Angeles Burrito Alabaster

I would say it’s decent food. It’s just not spicy enough for me. I judge tacos and burritos by their spice level. It’s good burritos, don’t get me wrong. I got the LA burrito and my fiancé got the cali burrito. They were both delicious, but I wished for some more spicy salsa for sure!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside (ok, let's be honest, inside either), and a health score on a lower than confident end might be a bit of a deterrent as well to giving it a shot, but no question you'll get some fantastically-greasy, tasty food from here; I'm talkin' "feeling guilty after you eat it, and a little worried about your cholesterol levels" good. I mean, a place that stuffs French fries in an already fattening burrito has got some balls-balls... And speaking of such, my weapon of choice during my take-out visit was the California Burrito which, once I got home and settled, was freakin' delicious and a definite do-again the next time I'm hankerin' for just some flat-out Mexican street food.

Reasonably priced, delicious and shameful - you gotta give it a go...

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Their menu is a perfect blend of authentic Mexican food plus American classics. They serve breakfast all day and serve coffee plus aguas frescas. The restaurant itself is s so colorful and the food is very really good. You can tell each dish is made in the kitchen. I'm a long time customer and I couldn't recommend this place more!

Very nice staff. Our group had mixed reviews. I was completely pleased. Everything I ordered was to satisfaction. However, a couple of stale chips ruined it for some of our group. Food was hot service was quick. Cheese was good. This establishment was clean. They had hand sanitizer readily available. Also a steady stream of customers picking up while we were there. Very nice menu value for the portions. We came after a soccer game in the surrounding area, and to our delight and surprise there was a soccer game on the screens. This restaurant had a sports bar type of feel. Kicked back environment even though it was not a bar. Very family oriented. Pictures and decor was amazing and delightful. The cashier was extremely patient. We appreciated that as many may get frustrated with large groups attempting to experience local gems. The cashier explained dishes over and over with each question asked by each separate family ordering. Thanks to these wonderful owners. They were exceptional....

This place is great, been going here for over 5 years. Service and quality of food is amazing. If you’re in town you have to try. They have a variety of foods with all day breakfast to lunch and dinner. Food may be a little pricey for some but the atmosphere is homey and warm. 5 stars.

When I first ordered from here it was the avocado breakfast with the potatoes and scrambled eggs, two slices of bread heaped with avocado on top and they even went as far as tossing in some pico and shredded salad. That was just months ago, now for the same price you get one slice of bread cut in half and the word "avocado" whispered onto it.

Good breakfast on weekends. The burritos are very good. This is a very local restaurant for me as it is about a mile from my home & work and I can say I have never had a bad meal or experience here! The owners are nice folks.

Amazing little Southern California taqueria tucked away in an Alabaster strip mall. We stopped in for brunch Saturday (breakfast is served all day!). The kids' pancakes, eggs, and bacon were spot on. My enchiladas Rojas were absolutely delicious. My wife's Malibu burrito was superb and big enough that she took half of it home. Simple presentation, cozy diner seating, and dynamite flavors. Exactly the sort of local hole in the wale I love. Will be a regular stop when I am in the area.

I got the Desayuno Mexicano w/ a chocoflan and horchata for about $22 before tip. The place is tucked away in a mostly residential area and pretty unassuming in a small strip mall. There's a decent amount of parking, or at least there was for 3PM on a Tuesday. The interior is colorful with just some benches and tables, and the menu is extensive.

The horchata was decent, but a little watered down. The breakfast was really good, flavor wise, but the eggs seemed a little dry like they'd been under a heat lamp. Otherwise, it was flavorful and fresh tasting. The chocoflan was the only real low part of the meal. It was dry and lackluster without any real flavor palate in either the cake or the flan portion. Super letdown.

The man who took my order was nice, but the lady who gave it to me was sort of standoffish. She also forgot to give me my horchata but luckily I remembered before driving off 20 mins away.

It’s my in-laws favorite Mexican place. They ALWAYS get the breakfast, which is served all day. They rave about it. I had a cheese quesadilla, rice and beans which were just normal - not bad not great but good. The atmosphere was pretty cool. I love all the hand painted areas. I actually saw the man who worked behind the counter (possibly the owner) is the one that does the paintings, bc he started doing one on the outside window while we were there. They’re beautiful and add a lot of color.

Finally a real Mexican food place, I've tried several places trying to find something that's like home and this is the closets thing to it. By far the best Mexican food in the surrounding area even after trying different taco trucks etc. I'm from Los Angeles County originally this place definitely hits the spot even if it's a tad pricy it's well worth it.

Food is always good here but our latest visit was terrible waited for our food for 40 minutes!!! As me and my wife continued to watch other customers order after we did and receive their food first it’s a joke how long it takes to make 2 tacos and an order of chicken fingers i kid you not it’s the worst “fast food” place a person can go to in terms of the wait other than that place is nice and newly upgraded and food ended up alright.

When moving to Alabaster, this was my go to. The food and service has declined to below Taco Bell. Not sure what has happened.

Really good food that's true to its Cali roots.

Large variety of the most popular Mexican cuisine...burritos, enchiladas, tortas, and another ++ offering is a large breakfast menu that's available all day.

They really shine with the burritos, though, in my opinion. They're big, stuffed with ingredients, and grilled.

The California with steak is my fave for dinner & you really can't go wrong with any of their breakfast burritos lol

Recently I shared the California Burrito with a friend. We had plenty to eat along with several types of dips. The burrito had french fries inside! It was uniquely DELCIOUS! On another visit, I was privileged to try the LA Burrito, the chicken quesidilla, the best club sandwich with plenty of bacon, the best onion rings I have EVER had, french fries, chicken fingers, and more. The homemade guacamole and salsa was superb! No doubt, I will repeatedly dine at LA Burrito. See you there!

This place had a line to the door not long after their opening time on Sunday. I came because of all the great reviews and photos of the food. I wasn't disappointed either! The pancakes were some of the best I've had. The hashbrowns didn't need ketchup and I usually add that to anyone's! Everything was made to order and delicious! I'll definitely return. Many customers had called in orders so I'll do that next time if I'm not dining in to save time! Thank you!

Authentic Mexican food… if only they were authentic Mexican prices too! I ordered the shrimp fajitas and they were delicious. Lots of veggies and plenty of food. It’s not every day you find traditional Mexican food and cake pops at the same place. Glad I took a chance on this place. Will be back whenever I’m in town.

I would say this is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been too! I only every get the Chorizo California Burrito, and it’s always right, delicious, and very good quality! If you have never been here, you need to give it a try. I have to stop here every time I am in Alabaster!

I should have listened to my family Not to try this place. Over priced for everything!! Food didn’t have taste to it. Also I ordered a torta and got Full Onions that was still attached to the root!!! Ordered Burritos asked for no pico and it’s like they didn’t listen. Over priced for fountain drinks!!! Never going here again!! Not worth it.

This place has the most disgusting food ever. I usually eat at Sneaky Pete’s/Cantina (gas station) grill down the street. I ordered $38 worth of food and it was all garbage, even the salsa. The shrimp were all burned and it taste like the cheese was from dollar tree! Please save your money and go down the street for the shrimp quesadilla and salsa!!!! Trust me!

My family had breakfast there, this morning, and we LOVED it!! Some of the best pancakes we've ever had. Light and fluffy, with a wonderful vanilla taste. We will definitely go back there for breakfast, but we look forward to trying the rest of their food as well.

I hate that a review said this a dressed up Taco Bell. This place is so much more! All the food I’ve tried is delicious. My favorite is the chicken LA Burrito. The food is fresh, full of flavor and the plating of the meal is done with attention. I highly recommend this place! I’m happy paying a little more for flavorful FRESH ingredients.

I have been eating here for many years. I can't remember a bad meal. It still surprises me that many people living in Alabaster have never heard of this restaurant. It might surprise you that they have one of the best cheeseburgers around town. Also, breakfast is great! Owners are very friendly and hard workers as well. I will support this business for many years to come.

One of my normal places for Mexican takeout. The LA Burrito is amazing. You get your choice of Beef, Steak, Chicken, and Pork. The pickled jalapenos carrots are my favorite part of the dish.
