Really enjoyed the meal! It was so big I ate a quarter of it. I had a chosen and vegetables dish and the other is a pork dish. Had it all with tortillas to wrap. I wasn’t impressed with the guac it was kind of fluffy like it had been whipped. But the rest was really good!

Margaritas are huge! We got the large. Top shelf is the way to go for a great tasting margarita. Although it wasn't as strong as other restaurants I have been to. Girlfriend got the chicken fajitas which were delicious. I got the pollo asado which could've been better. It was a little on the salty side but overall was good. Would definitely go with the fajitas next time.

Before Miss Alabama USA 2022 we went to El Dorado to get some lunch. I wish we all knew how big the portions were, since all places are for 2 people almost, including kids meals. Drinks are also large. And I will say the large margarita, which I ordered myself, is for at least 3 people.

I got the chance to try all plates and appetizers. Chips and salsa are amazing, queso was definitely out if this world. Meats were cooked and seasoned deliciously, and I’ll say steaks have fat (I love this, some people don’t). Kids meals were both good. Fries were large as well but I took the picture too late!

The rest of my family ordered 1 bowl of soup that was enough for 4 people to take a small cup, they shared some beef and tortillas as well. 2 plates were enough for 4 people. We all took containers to go and took almost half of the meal home, which was great because we got to have some more later and food really is GOOD.

We ordered 11 meals, 6 drinks, 1 small margarita and 1 large margarita and the check was $180, tipped $60 (which was fair enough-)

Will definitely come back next year!

I think your margarita prices are not clear. At the top of the menu it shows a regular margarita, I pointed at that and asked for a strawberry, I didn’t look further down because I thought it was what I was ordering and a medium strawberry margarita went from $10 to $15. I think you aren’t clear and I complained to no avail. I won’t be back. Lost income for 20-30 years over $5.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere, at a really great price. I took three coworkers to lunch and it was 60.00. You can't do that in most dine-in restaurants today. I had the chicken fajitas and the portion was more than I could finish. Give this place a try.

My first time going here and it was great the customer services was wonderful and my server she was also wonderful and they moved quickly. I ordered the Buffalo nachos, tacos, beans and rice and my cheese dip.

An excellent dining experience even on a busy Friday night college football weekend. High quality food served quickly by their friendly staff. Reasonable prices and large portions. Extensive menu. Definitely try the Mexican guacamole appetizer.

Great little place, the quesadillas are very tasty and the cheese dip and salsa are really good. The staff was very nice and accommodating, Mateo was a great server and wanted to make sure that I had everything that I needed. They have an outdoor seating area and a nice large room in the center of the restaurant with a large screen TV. This would be a great place four groups or families. I will definitely go back here and eat again but next time probably try the tamales or fajitas.

My wife and I have tried many Mexican restaurants, and this one, by far, stands out. Many times when you order tacos from other restaurants, the shells are soggy and the ground beef has an overwhelming amount of seasoning. Not here. This place was great. If you are out that way, you literally have four or five options, all claiming to serve "traditional" Mexican food. We have tried every one of the other locations in this area, and by far, from the time we sat to the time we left, it was a perfect experience.

I loved my flatas with shredded beef. My daughter's had tacos and enchiladas. ALL were very tasty! The portions were very large and easily could have been shared.

Ordered 2 meals and was wayyyyw overcharged asked to substitute a meat on a dish for another and was up charged $5.00 and wasn’t even told it would be an up charge or I would’ve never gotten it,I understand my server may not have completely understood everything I said but he definitely was proud to charge me that much and not even try to explain it was an extra charge..I used to love this restaurant and I’m very highly disappointed with my service and food..I will not be bringing my family back here probably ever because of this..Thanks to my server for ruining my experience !!Wanted to speak with a manager but I was so upset about being ripped off I just had to leave. Do not go here for you may be ripped completely off with no remorse.Im at such a loss of words for how much I spent I am tempted to call corporate.Be more specific about things or teach your servers to let people know!!!!DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

The food is amazing and authentic. When I lived in San Diego, we used to go to Tijuana to eat real Mexican food. This place reminds of all the great food I ate there. The prices are also very reasonable.

These fajitas are good enough to make you want to slap your mama. LOL "Why can't you cook these?" They were very accommodating to my late arrival. Got me in and out before closing, I'm about to go out of my way to get some more before I leave the area.

Good food, good service. One thing if you like Chiles Rellenos the ones that they have on the menu ARE NOT chiles rellenos. Also, the sopapilla on the menu dessert IS NOT A SOPAPILLA, IT'S A BUÑUELO AND ITS NOT THAT GOOD.

I think I ordered the wrong items. However, I'm reviewing what I had so here goes. Flautas were not bad just not really good. Sopapilla was stale - only managed a bite. Others at the table seemed to enjoy their food - green burritos looked very good and the birria tacos looked good as well. If I go back, may try one of those options. I was disappointed - others in the group were satisfied.

So, El Dorado has begun nickel-and-diming customers! This is a first for me: $1.15 for 3 pieces of lime and $2.25 for hot sauce! Seriously? The regular salsa is pretty bad, so I always ask for the hot salsa. The lime was also for use in the salsa! I am so glad I wasn't charged for the lemon I asked for in my water and the chips. I'll be taking my business elsewhere now.

I do not like leaving negative food reviews. In my opinion the food was not good. Bland salsa, stale chips, unflavored beans and the absolute worst chille relleno I have ever seen or tasted. I could only stomach two bites of it.

Interior looks dated and a little neglected, also expensive for the food you get, I paid $45 for 2 people, and they gave me burnt vegetables, overcooked rice and dry overcooked chicken, my girlfriend's burrito was greasy and also overcooked.

Seems like the food would be good after a night of drinking, but not at over $20 per person, when I can go to Taco Bell and get the same quality of food for much cheaper.

We were busy talking and couldn't decide what to order. When we were finally ready we told the server and he acted as though we were an inconvenience and he was busy. His attitude changed and it got better but with so many Mexican restaurant options we probably won't come back.

The second picture - I re-visited this place and ordered #29. Camaron a la Diabla (Red Spicy Sauce)!
I liked how it tastes 😋
The flavor of spicy was fit for me❣️
Also, the amount of food is suitable for eating alone. I felt full even before I finished eating.

Way too bright in here. Felt like an operating room. Our server was realky slow , 30 minutes no order or water. Ordered a margarita got a large glass of sour mix and lemonade. Yuck!! 9.99 for limeyblemonade is a rip off. I tokd them it was bad and they told all sakes are final whether its good or not. Wow horrible service. No , thank you anywhere else is better

Last time I went into the restaurant, I went to the bathroom to find a plant growing from in the between the tiles. Today I made the mistake of ordering food online. My order was essentially a suggestion. I ordered chips and queso as well as a taco salad with an upcharge to add queso to it. I received absolutely no queso. I was given chips and salsa and the driest taco salad I’ve ever had in my life. Not one thing I ordered was correct. I was already having a bad day, and this genuinely sent me over the edge. I never thought Mexican food could let me down.

I was with a swim group and they raved about this place. After trying the food, I understood why. It was so fresh and delicious. Better than any Mexican food eaten. The tortilla was definitely homemade. I can't wait to come to Auburn again just to eat here.

I absolutely love this place, but came for my birthday today, waiter rung up our order wrong, then she was told she could fix it so I asked her to do so, then she comes back and proceeds to say how her tip wasn’t included in the price, asked if we knew that, and that she makes a living off of tips, like she assumed my family and I weren’t gonna tip her. I most definitely WONT be back. Whenever we go out we tip over $20+ so for her to just assume was super offensive.

We were visiting for the Auburn Regionals and stumbled upon El Dorado....we had a fabulous waitress, food was delish, and we sat at a very cozy/private table. The only negative was the bathroom had a horrible smell inside and the foyer area in front of it and bathrooms were dirty. I would suggest planning accordingly so one would not have to frequent the restroom. Other than that we enjoyed El Dorado!!!!

I will preface this review with the fact that I've only been to two mexican places in the Auburn/Opelika area. The first was here, and then after we kept going here soooo many times, we decided to switch it up with another place, but quickly realized it's nowhere near as good, so we quickly returned.

This is the best Mexican restaurant ever, not because I've tried them all, but because I've really never felt the need to go elsewhere because they are so good!

Food is authentic, amazing, and reasonably priced. Not to mention they bring it out really fast once you order!

Well, where should I start, oh yes, the beer was cold and that's good. The beans and rice were good and the cooked jalapeno was nice and spicy but the asadero or steak was too chewy. There was a good continuous supply of pico de gallo but the guacamole was over pureed and runny the queso was also soupy versus the really good queso fundido melted cheese with chorizo sausage that some Mexican facilities offer but not here. I was told this was the best Mexican food in Auburn oh well if you say so but what can you expect from a college town try the shrimp it looked pretty good.

Tall fat weird Mexican guy wearing women nails was my server and he seemed creepy and I didn’t feel comfortable eating there but was hungry .I ate a little of the hamburger but It wasn’t good so I left.

Food was amazing! Best Mexican I've had in Auburn. However the service was lacking. Our waiter dropped the food off, and never came back to check on us. We had to wave him down to get our check and a to-go box. We're going to go back for sure, but hope we sit in a different section or at the bar.

The outside of this business has always had great curb appeal. I decided to give it a try. I took care of two visits in one visit at this place….first & last. Horrible customer service & very bland food. The restaurant had plenty of employees standing around playing games on their telephones. The employees didn’t seem to care about taking care of the customers in the restaurant. it was a Sunday night and the number of customers were very few. I should have read the reviews before eating at this restaurant because they are very true.

Food is amazing and service is USUALLY good. There is one woman there that I get as a server more times than I would like to. She is not very good and makes you wait long periods of time because she's in the back on her phone from the times I've seen her. Had to have the host as my server this time because she was no where to be found and shows up half way through my dining experience. Every time I see her I hope she is not my server but its like they want me to have her. The host was a better server than she is and I would have tipped the host if I had cash. This is my favorite restaurant but I dread going knowing I could get this server.

Lived in Auburn for more than 30 years, and this restaurant has always been our go-to for Mexican food (Tex-Mex). Never been disappointed here.
