Just have to say wow, I am impressed. You guys impress me from the time you answered your phone til I sat down at home and ate my dinner. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly. The place had been remodeled beautifully. I can wait till I have the time to actually sit down in there and eat!! Thank you guys! We will definitely be back :)

Our first time at this restaurant and while the food was mostly average, the service and interior environment was excellent! Looking forward to trying more items from the menu and hopefully finding a few favorite meals!

I never leave reviews, but this place deserves it. We eat here once to twice a week whether it's dine in or take out. I have tried multiple of their dishes and the food is always fresh and so good. The staff is very kind and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and they always have good music playing. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I definitely recommend trying them out!

They tried to change almost $2 more for the food than it was priced in the menu then they wanted to change me extra for paying with a debit card. Definitely not going back.

Margaritas contain absolutely no tequila, queso tasted like water, chips were very stale and service was pretty poor, never had our waters filled and were only checked on twice (never asked if we needed anything after we ordered our dinner). I ordered a chicken quesodilla that didn’t even have cheese in it??

Very disappointed with the service at this "4-star restaurant". We came in and got seated very quickly, but our waiter only came to our table to take our drink order, and did not stay long enough to let us order anything other than waters before literally running off. Almost an hour later we still had not had our order taken or heard from our waiter. So, we decided to leave. If they could actually serve their customers they would have been given a better rating, but since they fail to do the one thing that makes a restaurant function it is clearly a waste of time and money to go here. Honestly, if we had just been communicated with about any busyness or if the kitchen was behind we would have been more than happy to wait. We have had a much better experience at places like Tekila or Acapulco’s, and I would recommend going to one of those instead.

Good food but it was $76 for two meals and a side small quesadilla. Normally it cost us $30-$50 at Mexican restaurants. VERY expensive. We were shocked. We could’ve went to a steak house and got an appetizer for that much.

First off, Hector’s salsa is real salsa and not this tomato purée crap all around A/O. The chips are light and thin and super crispy. I suggest the Polo dip with chicken ( you can get steak too ) it’s really, really good. I got the Texas Fajitas ( I wanted to try a little of everything ). Now for the play-by-play…. The chicken had really good flavor. Biggest win here is the chicken was not dry. So many places around here over cook their fajitas consistently. It was flirting with being dry, but got it off the grill just in time. The pork, yes I said pork (not chorizo) was/is better than some of the actual “BBQ” places we all rave about. The steak was the best I have had around here flavor wise. Note this is the 19th Mexican place we have tried. The steak on the fajitas fell victim to being overcooked, flavor would have been even more amazing if it was medium or medium well, but it was well done plus 3 minutes. We folks around here know how to eat steak and well done ain’t it. Chorizo was really good. The 5 shrimp skewer had 3 shrimp perfectly cooked, 2 over cooked. But those 3 pieces of perfection carried the team for the win. I don’t eat green peppers so no report of this specific part of the mix. Tomatoes were there but very light quantity wise in the mix with the onions. Flavor was very good. I tried everything above separately. Here’s the good stuff. When it was all put together with pico, sour cream, guacamole, beans and rice in their flour tortillas……. WOW! I’ll say it backwards for some of us. !WOW. And to top it all off the Mexican rice here is the best I have had in my life. Moist, not overcooked and incredible flavor. And I am NOT a rice person. But this is next level in my opinion.

Now on to my son’s dish. The Pollo Mesquite with double rice was a rock star. “flavor town” warning. It was a thin, hammered down chicken breast that was marinated and covered in a cheesy chorizo sauce that rocked! I would have taken a picture of the aftermath math of his plate being cleaned but he used my leftover tortillas to wipe up all the juices from his plate. He said that was one of the best Mexican dishes he has had since moving here.

Humberto was our waiter. A little bit of work communication wise needed but he did a good job of checking on us and making sure our glasses never got empty. Our order was exactly as expected.

This was a boy’s night out with my son and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Now time to bring the wife on date night for a brownie point or ten.

The meal was great. Atmosphere is authentic and the staff is welcoming and friendly.

This was our third trip to Hectors. I have updated my review. Our meal was excellent. The guacamole was fresh and authentic, no sign of sour cream or other dairy products. The food was delicious and delivered just as we ordered it. Our server was friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

We were passing through on Father’s Day and my husband wanted Mexican. Saw the 4.7 stars and pulled in.
Cute place. Not a a chair. Good atmosphere.
Our waiter was Felix and he was so kind, attentive and quick with chips, salsa and refills. Definitely sit in his section if you can.
We ordered lunch specials and everything was great. Highly recommend steak tacos, burritos and chicken fajitas! All amazing.
Beans were delicious. Huge portions, unlimited chips and salsa. Definitely 5/5

Wow, what a treat Hector’s is. My family dined there for the first time tonight, and we absolutely loved it. So different than the standard (and pretty dull) Tex Mex fare around Auburn. Food was delicious—of particular note: the salsa, lime margarita, Hector’s Fishing Trip and the green spaghetti. All were fresh, authentic and delightful. Our server and the entire staff were welcoming and upbeat, and the atmosphere was cozy and lively. 10/10 would recommend.

I love these places! The flavor in the food is crazy! Everything is very clean and the service is amazing ! The music is the best I pass a great time every single time that I go! If you are latin you probably go to dance every song !
And I really recommend the mocajete is other world plate ! It would blow your mind!
It isn't spicy except for the jalapeno and it could be to share for 2 people.

Excellent food! I thoroughly enjoyed the Csrnitas and my wife lived the green Mexican spaghetti. The margaritas were also quite good. I will definitely be back, and you should give it a try if you haven't been there.

This evening the family and I dropped by Hectors to give it a try. To start with, it was impeccably clean considering it was towards the end of the day. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was attentive without being annoying. That’s always a plus for me. Then the food was really good as well. I got a chicken tostada and a chicken quesadilla. I found it to be made with fresh ingredients and quite flavorful. I wish the tostada had just a little more crunchiness to it, but that’s just personal preference. It was absolutely delicious. The prices are fair. I didn’t see anything that stood out as being overly priced. As for the general atmosphere, it was calm and relaxed. There are TVs all around and there was music playing, but the volume was still a reasonable level. We were easily able to talk while there which was pleasant. The best part, when we were ready to go, our server took and returned our check in a timely manner. Give this place a try if you’re looking for somewhere new to go.

Great service and food. My favorite place to eat that feels like I'm eating healthier. The Hectors fishing trip is at least a two person meal. If you want fried oily food, this isn't it. We get it with grilled fresh jalapenos and no cheese. Rice, roasted vegetables and seafood - almost like being at the beach !

As soon as you walk in the door the establishment is very clean and friendly!!
The wait staff is so accommodating and super nice! We have never been here before and the waiter recommended a lot of fan favorites! Menu is easy to read and has a variety of different food items! We got seated in less than a minute of walking in, waiter introduced himself and got our drink order, and gave us a minute to review the menu. Came back to check on us and we ordered! He recommended different things and less than 10 mins later we had all of our food!! Will definitely be coming back to this place!!

Stopped in for an early dinner after a hike at Chewacla State Park. Plenty of parking and some tvs to chat the games. Margaritas hit the spot and were fairly priced. Enjoyed the Superbowl and Fajita Nachos which were hot, plentiful, and delicious. We would definitely pop in again.

This is some of the best food we have eaten in awhile. The staff and owner was so friendly and attentive. They have remodeled the inside and it is so clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The cheese dip and salsa was amazing. I hope they can manage to stay in business. Have recommended it to everyone.

First strike asked a lady that came by a question she said I'll be right back never came back.
Second Strike was the cold cheese dip, after being asked if everything was okay I mentioned dip was cold, but they did nothing.
Then I get the bill, and put down my card they swipe it, and I realize the price is higher than I thought it would be.
Read the fine print at bottom they charged me over 3$ to use a credit card to pay for meal!
Menu is "cash only prices "
if I would've been told that beforehand I would've paid cash.
Ridiculous!
Was hoping to like this place since I live across the street, but I'll never come back after this.
If you eat here pay cash....
otherwise get charged extra for using a card.

I got the Super Bowl. It was great, I also liked the salsa. The regular house margarita wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but the jalapeño marg I ordered after was on point. Also got to talk with the owner a little bit, super nice, cool guy. Definitely worth checking out!

The food here is delicious and they clearly care about their customers. My meal came with nearly a whole sliced avocado, so they aren't skimping on ingredients. They season their food very well. The serving staff is very attentive and check on you frequently. They make their chips fresh too!

Definitely a cut above a lot of the Mexican restaurants in the area.

Place is clean and looks nice but the food is ok and just ok. No one at my party was impressed with taste of their food. My lunch meal was $2 cheaper than El Dorado but I’ll stick with El Dorado since Hector’s was so bland and probably won’t ever come back.

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in the area! I moved from Atlanta 4 years ago.
First visit, the chicken soup is excellent, Chips are very thin and crispy, salsa is delicious. Margaritas (frozen) are really good and very reasonably priced.. My server Angela was just the best and Fernando, the manager came by our table to check.. I would highly recommend.....

A gentleman from Hector's stopped by my workplace just down the street to promote the opening before Thanksgiving. I asked questions about their menu and what they make in house, which was practically everything. I decided that for my birthday, my family and I were going to try it out. Walking in, it was very bright and clean. We were sat down promptly. Our server was wonderful and patient. It takes time to choose from a new menu. The chips were fresh, warm, thin, and crisp; and the baskets kept coming. The salsa was fresh and just the right amount of heat for everyone; the best I have had at a restaurant. The cheese dip tasted like cheese instead of milk; again the best I have had at a restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious. Very flavorful and not greasy. It was just a wonderful and delicious dinner with my family. Thank you Hector's. You made loyal patrons out of my family from just one meal. Happy Holidays, Amanda H.

Must try restaurant! It's not like the other Mexican restaurants. I'm extremely picky and usually drive to my hometown for my Mexican food.
We tried Hectors today and the chips are perfect! Not thick and hard. We enjoyed everything. Their fried ice cream is the best around here and is more authentic. We'll be back😁

Definitely the best Mexican food I have had in a long time! The service was phenomenal! I got a burrito and it was wonderful. It was the first time in a long time that the entire inside content of the burrito was piping hot. I also got a pomegranate margarita and it was so good! Most of the other pomegranate margaritas I have had around town are 90% thick syrup and this one still resembled a margarita. It was so light and refreshing. 10/10 will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our food very much! The food beat out our beloved Mexican restaurant El Ranchero. 😩 But, it was better, from the taste, to the prices and the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. Only thing I can say that I didn't like was our server just stood over us and looked at us after he brought the check... like to the point where it was awkward. He finally left after he saw I wasn't going to reach into my bag until he walked away. If it hadn't been for that weirdness, I'd have given 5 stars on every category. Still enjoyed the food though. And our server was very nice and helpful, that was just REALLY weird.

Easily the nicest family running this place! Spoke with the owner, truly a gem. Very kind, absolutely 10/10 would reccomend!! Try the barbaque nachos, you won’t regret it!
