Los Reyes Mexican Grill

Let me start this review by saying our server "Flo" was not only hospitable but so sweet. I immediately felt taken care of as she explained the menu to my grandmother with a friendly and reassuring smile. I ordered "The Hawaiian" which was a sizzling fajita plate with steak and pineapple as well as the usual mix of peppers and onions. It came out hot, seasoned and delicious. The portion was hefty and the three soft tortillas included with the meal were not only wrapped in foil to retain heat, they were soft and fresh. Couldn't recommend this place more!

If they had a 10 star option they would get all 10. I went to Los machete twice. Both times I was treated like I "DIDN'T BELONG" No Exaggeration we stood at the counter for 8-10 mins waiting to be acknowledged. Felt colored af both nights as they ignored us hoping we would just leave. LOS REYES was complete opposite. Warm and inviting atmosphere, Very attention server,great food, and multiple bilingual employees. Everyone was my friend this n my friend that. If it was an act then I believed it. I highly recommend

I ordered the Rice Fajita, with chicken, steak and shrimp. The shrimp were small and rubbery and there was only 3. Plus the steak was real fatty as well. I order this same meal at a different Mexican restaurant and I get 6 shrimp and they are double the size and it's the same price. I don't usually like to leave bad reviews, but when I won't even eat the food, there's an exception. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again.

The food was very good. It has been a long time since I have been there and I really enjoyed it. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa isn't real spicy. Overall, a great experience eating there and I would definitely go back. The lunch menu has a lot of various options to choose from too.

2. Quality of the food. What happened? The burrito Durango was supposed to have cheese sauce on it. The nachos camaron, cheese appeared to have been watered down to make it stretch longer.

You can swing a cat and find another Mexican restaurant in this town. Racing to the bottom quality, for a margin increase is only short term gain.

Today's experience turned me off, and Cinco will probably be where I go next time... I hope you improve, because I actually liked your restaurant better...

The food was good and service was good. I'm giving a three start because this place in need of a deep cleaning. There was an off putting odor and was dirty. Soap and water and elbow grease would make a world of difference. Would have to see that before I would go back.

My wife, her friend, and myself ate here on 5/11/24. I ordered the Tacos Pastor and they ordered the Pina Loca. They said their meals were great but my Tacos Pastor was just okay. I have had better but overall not bad. I would definitely come back.

I left my wallet on the table came back 5 minutes later and they would not give it to me. So don’t leave your purse or wallet they will take it. Really rude looks they give you too. I flew to Birmingham and had no way of getting back home without my id in my wallet they took.

My family and I eat here quite often but we have noticed a change in the food. I just ordered the shrimp spaghetti and the only season came from the bell pepper and onions and I barley had any sauce on my food.

Couldn't find any place to eat the other night and just stumbled across this place in hueytown and it is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my life!! Everyone is smiling it's such a good atmosphere and the food is definitely worth the price I had steak fajitas and I'm in love with rice so I had a whole plate of rice and they had just made the rice fresh and it was so good!! Cannot wait to eat here again 💖💞💖💞💞💖

I'm so heated I had to run to make a review. I ordered my food to be picked up, almost 60 dollars worth of food to be exact. I have two kids. I ordered 2 kids meals. The kiddie taco and quesadilla did not come with rice and beans and the chicken tenders were not fresh, they were tiny(frozen kind) and only 2 came with it with soggy, greasy, old fries, with a more expensive price than the other kids meals(7.99), totally not worth it. My husband had a taco that was extremely soggy, inedible if you will and a chalupa that was also sorry and soggy. I live in the area and have always wanted to try it. I'm definitely not visiting again. I can't recommend at the moment

Had a wonderful meal (the Los Reyes) and a tasty medium Margarita. If 28ozs. can be called medium! Delicious food, friendly, attentive staff, and reasonable prices.
I really enjoy this place and I'm not a big Mexican food fan!

Really enjoyed this spot and you gotta try there white cheese dip it's amazing. Service was great food was hot n yummy sweet tea was good. I'd recommend this place for a family or someone dropping in for lunch. 9/10

Pros; The food & our server were fantastic! I enjoyed my dinner.
Cons; It was a tad cramped. Bathroom was flooded, literally stepping in toiled water, and smell left nothing to be desired.
I did report it. Maybe no one did, I don't know.

The wait staff is incredible. Their work ethic and prompt arrival times saved this experience.
Food was terrible.
Old and horrible.
Pico looked disgusting.
Enchiladas were the worst ever.
Please get a new cook or something, save your place!

stopped in with Hubby on a Sunday even though they weren't busy the service was slow food wasn't the best but the portions were extremely large the worse thing about this place was the filth from floor to ceiling hands down the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in .I wonder how they keep passing inspection

I met a friend for dinner it was rather bizarre to say the least. I finished my meal and was talking to my son when I saw the wildlife for the first time. A roach that you could have saddled and rode in the parking lot. The staff saw it and stepped over it….. twice! No joke it was two inches long. The food was not bad and the service was slow. But the entertainment factor was right up there. Think I will drive a little further for a little less drama.

without a doubt the best restaurant in Hueytown. Been going here for 10 years I think? Their spicy sauce (instead of salsa) is soooo good (or even mixing the two). The chicken soup is amazing. And wont' say the poncho dip is healthy but man it's delicious. the service is always great and usually you'll see the owner

Food was good and service was good. This place needs a good cleaning. Was dingy dirty and a very off putting odor. That's why I gave them a 3. I won't go back unless a good scrubbing happens. A little hard work and would be a 5.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Food is always delicious and that salsa is out of the world. The margaritas are made with their homemade blend and you will not believe the taste! Great!!

We made a quick stop for lunch during our roadtrip. We chose this place because of the reviews. We live in Chicago and this by far is the worst mexican food we have tasted, and we have tried a great amount of places. We were disappointed in every aspect of each dish we ordered. The service is great, but unfortunately the food is the complete opposite.

The best margaritas and service is always friendly. The food is great! Try the shrimp ceciche de Cameron ( shrimp ceviche ) it's great in this heat, light and tropical. Best ceviche around this area.

My Chile Relleno, The Enchilada, and The Chalupa was the absolute worst I have ever had! The Hard Taco was soft! I had so much water in the bottom of my to go plate. I usually go to Greensprings but didn't want to take the ride but that will not ever happen again, because I'm not able just waste money like that. I've been to this restaurant 2 times and have been disappointed 😞 it won't be a third time!

I was disappointed with my last order. I ordered Chile Relleno but they skipped steps and it was half of a chile poplano without the traditional coating that's fried. Please keep the food authentic..

Get the Los Reyes single or Double its taste great.it has 4 to 5 meats a Double has twice that sausage shrimp pork chop steak. With rice refried beans saute onions and bell peppers two people can eat off the single.
