Curb appeal horrible. Inside could you use a deep clean. Food came out fast. Chicken was dry. Refried beans were horrible! Reviews were overrated and expensive in our opinion.

I’m so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from work. Food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal. Highly recommended.

Excellent premier best Latino cuisine Mexicali
I had the lamb soup it was essential with hot peppers because I like it hot I was able to edit it was so much I have two servings very impressed with this very good food here thank you hats off to the chef

Best Mexican/southwestern food I've had so far in the Birmingham area. Delicious!Will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. Primary language staff communicating in is Spanish, but young waitress spoke clear, fluent English.

Let me first say I use to eat here almost everyday of my work week😂😂😂 I love this place I love the owners they are so friendly damn near family how much I go in there.. Hands down best Mexican in Bessemer the barria tacos with lamb OMG The Best!!!!! Just got done eating from there😂😂😂😂

Nice mexican spot with traditional Mexican recipes. Everybody in our party really enjoyed their meal. We went twice on a work trip and it was a nice family owned restaurant.

This is a friendly place with a pleasant waitress and food that was rather good a little different than most Mexican places in the area and a tad bit off the beaten path but worth trying

Family owned so home made tortillas. I'm stuck on their barbacoa de res. Tender, juicy and favorful. The plate comes with rice and beans and a decent amount of meat. Priced fairly and very accommodating. Friendly for families, singles, workers and all ages of every race.

The shrimp soup was so much better than any place I've tried. I got food for the whole family and it was all very good. I don't speek the language but my order was exactly right.

TERRIBLE. I only gave it one star so it would post my comment. We ordered cheese dip, probably about 10 minutes later the waitress told us that the order before ours ordered the last of their cheese dip. Then she brings us a bowl of something in its place and it was basically sour cream. One of my friends ordered a sweet tea, they were out of sweat tea, but other customers were getting tea. The chips were out of a bag and the salsa was out of a jar. Oh and we were in there a little after Noon, so how could they be out of tea and cheese dip? I would NOT recommend this shack to anyone.

The chips and salsa tasted like out of a bag and the salsa was from a jar.
