Great place & cozy atmosphere food is good and fresh, Camilo our server was very attentive & has pleasant personality, we were looking to eat here and I search online what got my attention was the vegetable dishes offered. It was my first time dining on Alabama and I love it! We continue our trip to Tennessee. The music ambient was very nice too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a hidden gem, on the end of a strip mall but it is worth visiting. The inside has beautiful pottery and is brightly painted, very nice atmosphere. It is clean, tables were bussed as patrons left. The staff was plentiful, pleasant and helpful with the menu. The menu is extensive.
The Vaca Loca was excellent, sliced steak with cheese sauce. Not too spicy. I normally am not impressed by refried beans but these were better than we’ve ever had. Loved the rice.
The beef enchiladas was wonderful.
The best salsa, homemade with lots of cilantro. We couldn’t stop eating it.
There is a large outside seating area with chairs and umbrellas. The view is not great but if you just like to eat outside it would be nice.
We will eat here again.

First time back in many years and we had lunch this time.
We had shredded beef chimichanga and burrito supreme specials. Both were excellent!
Really enjoyed the salsa as well.
Very nice atmosphere and not crowded at lunch.
The staff were very nice and attentive.
We definitely will be back soon!

Traveling through and stopped here for dinner.
Food: excellent! Guacamole and salsa so very good and fresh. Street tacos very authentic and excellent flavor. We tried the chicken and chorizo.

Service: Fast and courteous. Excellent!

Atmosphere: Bright and cheerful. Great music as well.

Cheese dip was really watered-down. I eat here or from here on a regular basis, and this is the first time I wasn't 100% satisfied. Don't get it twisted it was still AWESOME as always!!
Went for a meal today and not sure what has changed but this place is getting WAY overpriced and the service is HORRIBLE compared to just a month or two ago! The food has suffered for "shrinkflation" and service is cold and robotic! Not sure I'll ever go back which is a shame because they have been really good up to now!

We ordered 2 dinners a soft shelled taco with rice and beans online for $ 4.75 each. Went to pick it up and they said 38.45 . This was a favorite go to Mexican Restaurant. We will not go back.

Under new mgmt? In the past, this was my favorite Mexican restaurant in Trussville area for delivery But today, just got door dash of our regulars: pollo loco and chile relleno. For some reasons, the pollo loco had no cheese on it. We got cheese dip, but was 3/4 bean goo. Instead of beef, got shrimp in chile relleno. It was ok, but not what we ordered. Will never order from y’all again. Bye.

I don't write reviews very often, if at all, and I could not help but do so here. I got delivery and wasn't expecting much, however, the maravil chicken tortilla soup tasted like home. I'm currently starting to get sick and figured I needed a pick me up, I am more than happy that I chose to order from here. The soup tasted just like how my mother made it. I was honestly close to crying, now is it the most complex thing ever? No. But it's a simple dish that, when done well, can heal a thousand wounds. It was perfect, and I can't wait to dine in some day! Whoever made the soup, needs a raise!

We have only ordered from here through Door Dash so far, and the order is always correct, and the food is always great. They have a perfect chimichanga and the only guacamole I would ever buy a large container of anymore instead of just making it myself because it's very similarly flavorful and tough to put down. 😅

I've never had an issue with this place, or the food, or the waiters. The wait staff are friendly and don't hover. The food? Phew. Best Al Pastor tacos I've found locally. Their Medium Margarita is a literal tankard, and so very affordable.

My daughter and I love going here for a peaceful delicious dinner. I recommend the al pastor tacos or the vaca loca!

My first and last experience was with my young daughter. The owners and server were not welcoming. The food was just ok. There are several Mexican restaurants that are much better in the area ie. Habaneros, Tienda Carnicera y Taquerua Fiesta and Casa Fiesta.

This was El Cazador previously. My wife and I stopped in because we knew they were quick and food is good. We were surprised to see that they had changed. They have certainly brightened up the place, although I did prefer the muted atmosphere. That reminds me, the music was, interesting... It's a little loud but not painfully so, just unique. The food was really good, the prices were higher than before. I don't think we'll ever see the $5.95 taco, burrito, and beans plate ever again. The new is nice, but I kinda missed the way it was.

Did a last minute run to Lowes before closing to finish a weekend project but wanted some dinner before going back to work and Dos Botellas is across the street, hell yeah. Portions are generous, food is good and service was cool & prompt. Just another average Mexican place that's not terrible. To management: play some better Mexican music Amigo.

My co workers and I love this place! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is amazing wether you're ordering fajitas or fries! The margaritas are also a favorite!

The restaurant has new ownership and is now Dos Botellas. The experience was good for I got the #1 burrito meal of beef burrito, beans, rice and salad along with the appetizer of chips and salsa. I really enjoyed having lots of beef in my burrito instead of the small portions that I have gotten at some fast food Mexican restaurants. I had enough left over for dinner the next day and that kept me from cooking or going out for dinner which is a problem since my wife is still out of town.

This is now called dos botellas and I will say it is very different feom el cazador the food was very fresh the salsa fresh thw gauc very light a d crisp they use more cilantro and the food was very good...we still love el cazador but I think this place is very good for taking the spot! A definite must try for the folks in trussvile...

Fast seating was the highlight of dinner. The food looked great but lacking in flavor. The Mole had one note flavor. Not complex at all. The fresh chips and salsa were good. Fresh salad and ingredients but the meal overall was just good. Table service was lacking. Waitress was bussing around 6 tables but passed us throughout the meal without asking anything. It seemed she wanted us out quick and dropped the check without asking if we were done. The deserts on the menu looked good but I am not into raising my voice for service. She did apologize as we were walking out.

This Restaurant is not Authentic! Food has no flavor except grease flavor. Absolutely worst experience in my opinion. I don't have anything against this Restaurant this is just my family experience. At first when we walk in it look like they were closing. Lighting is the worst no one would talk to us till we ask if they were closing. Will never step in this Restaurant again.

Y'all this restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. I usually only eat at this restaurant on Crestwood but today my niece took me to the El Cazador in Trussville. I did not know there was another ElCazador in Trussville. I think it y'all already know my favorite food is Mexican. Lol This second restaurant just as absolutely fabulous as my regular ElCazador in Crestwood. Today I learned that they are family owned. I even saw some of the employees at the Trussville restaurant at the Crestwood restaurant and they recognized me and I felt so loved. The food was great. We laughed and talked with the employees. I love love loved it.
Ohh the margaritas were on point and super delicious. I love y'all. Keep up the great work.🙏🙏🙏😁😁

This location has really gone downhill. The food used to be consistent and good 90% of the time. Worst experience I've had there. The salsa was water and tasted like pure vinegar. This cheese dip was water and taste like salt. The food was made sloppy and minimal. Disappointed!

They put gobs of black pepper in every dish!!! I can’t even taste my food!!! I love the Leeds location so I figured this would be just as great but.... I was so disappointed.... rice was greasy... chips were stale but they get 2 stars only cause the lady did come by the entire visit to fill my tea and that’s a plus in my book.... still tasting black pepper in my mouth so this ruined it for me
