It's definitely a different experience going to a furniture store to get tacos but it was delicious. We will go back for seconds. The price was reasonable and the young girl was very sweet.

The menu is a treasure trove of authentic Latin American flavors. I ordered the Arepas with a side of plantains, and every bite was bursting with freshness and flavor. The coffee was also exceptional—smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. You can tell they take pride in sourcing the best beans.

What really stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure a great experience. They even took the time to explain the origins of some of the dishes, which added a special touch to the meal.

Don't let this cafe being in a furniture store throw you off. It is DELICIOUS! Pluses are that there is a very friendly staff, simple but well seasoned food, and low prices. My friends and I tried the menudo and it was the cleanest and freshest tasting menudo we've ever had. The tacos we tried- al pastor, asada, chorizo, and another I don't remember were all perfect and even better than any taco truck in Bhm. Can't wait to come back!

First of all, do not trust your GPS. This amazing place is IN the Ashely Furniture store. That being said, these are some of the best tacos I've had in Birmingham! The meat is super flavorful, the salsas are homemade and add even more depth to the already delicious tacos. The staff is amazing as well. Do yourself a favor and try this awesome place out!

We had dinner at Cafe Castillo tonight, Quesadilla and Burrito California. It was sooo good and fresh made for us. Better than any fast food chain! A big recommendation for this authentic, yummy food. Thank you!! And at a very reasonable price.

Go into Ashley Furniture and go to the back left corner by the bathrooms. I had some excellent chorizo tacos that were not dry at all.

The restaurant was closed when I was there, but the menu looked good and very reasonably priced. It inluded a hamburger and philly cheesesteak sandwich as well as more traditionally Mexican options. The idea of a Mexican restaurant in a furniture store is unusual and interesting. The staff members of the furniture store are balanced, helpful but not overly aggressive. That allowed us to shop with help but without being interrupted.

To tell the truth the reason I go here is because it's in a furniture store, fun to be different. The food is good, but if you are looking for a Taco Bell experience forget it. Nothing like the other Mexican restaurents in the area. Unique dining experience

Our entire office eats here weekly. The tacos are the best that I’ve had in the city at any restaurant or taco truck. Great prices and a friendly staff too off an awesome experience every time.

I would give them 5 star the food is honestly good. But there's two people that usually pick up the phone. If the girl pick up the phone you're in luck. If the guy answers the phone may Jesus be with you because he don't understand anything you will say and mess up your order consistently

One of my favorite restaurants in birmingham. The ingredients are so fresh and everything goes together perfectly.

Very reasonable prices for what i consider the best sandwich I've ever had (the azada torta)

It is inside a furnature store, and if that bothers you, just take the food to go. You will not be disappointed.

Great food at a good price. I had three of their street tacos after consulting with the owner who was very nice and cheerful. He shared a bit of his recipe for horchata. It is in the back corner of Ashley Furniture, a bit unexpected, but a great little food gem. Give it a try!

Best Mexican food in Birmingham. This guy is a chef and this is the real deal. Wow. New favorite restaurant. Cafe Castillo - Inside Ashley’s in Hoover.

Monday-Thursday 10-6:30
Friday and Saturday 10-8:45pm

They have real tamales on Tuesday and Saturday after 4pm.

They have pozole, street tacos, huge tortas (amazing) and real horchata!

The Grouper po-boy was the single greatest sandwich I've ever had in a long, long time. I cannot possibly recommend this place enough. Every item of food I've had here has been phenomenal, and I will sorely miss this place when I move in a few weeks.

Very good campechano tacos and chorizo. The asada and pollo were good but not my favorite. The salsa verde has a fresh flavor with some heat but it's not too spicy. They served the tacos with a salt shaker on the side. I don't normally put salt on street tacos, but I put the salt on these and it gave it a nice twist. Definitely worth a visit.
