We always eat at Hacienda, and love the friendly staff and fresh tasty food. We tried El Jalisco, and were a bit sad. It is not bad for a chain restaurant, but it is not great. The ingredients are not as good and fresh. The margaritas are a giant class of fruit juice with just a little tequila. BTW the top shelf margarita at Hacienda is awesome!

For a party of six, 18% gratuity was added, which I unfortunately missed and tipped twice.

If you have not tried Hacienda, we strongly suggest you do.

I brought in my family with young children, the staff were very supportive with our small children. The food was great. The chicken burrito was extra tender. There was also some interesting options that are not found at standard Mexican restaurants. In all, we will be back.

This was our first time here and I’m writing this review from the table because I couldn’t wait. The queso is some of the best around. The Birria is SO good! My husband got it and I tried to steal it away!! My steak burrito was excellent!! Would highly recommend!!

I think they think "top shelf" means "really big" rather than premium ingredients. We ordered top shelf margs and they brought out these ridiculous sized margaritas that was mostly sugar for $16 each. I'm sure the profit margin is good for the business but not a very good drink for the customer unless you like giant glasses of lime kool aid with a splash of tequila. The wife's enchiladas were fine but my fajitas were maybe the thinnest serving of meat I've ever had. Oh well was hoping for better since so close to home but I can see why its not doing a ton of biz in our area.

We looked at the menu online and went because of the picture of their veggie fajitas. Turns out, even though we clicked on Valleydale menu that is not a representation of their food. There are no carrots or zucchini in their veggie fajita as pictured. My daughter being a vegetarian didn’t eat because she didn’t want a fajita with just bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and squash. They need to change their menu to depict their food. Other than my daughter being in a bad mood because she didn’t eat, the food was actually quite good.

My daughter and I went here today for their grand opening. The service was amazing. We ordered the vegetarian fajitas and the nachos mexicano. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We will definitely be back.💛

05-20-24 Excellent Service and Great food again! 💛

06-10-24 I met some friends for dinner. There were 5 of us and we had the best time! We get the "flight of margaritas" and it was so good to try 4 flavors amongst us. We ordered the "Nachos El Jalisco" and it was such a bag portion. 3 of us are off of it! I just can't say enough great things about this place! (Adding new pics)💛

We've eaten at El Jalisco a number of times now. It's been great every time - fresh, quality ingredients and good portions of delicious food. They also have reasonable prices. It hasn't been crowded either. Go see for yourself and enjoy.

I live in the area and was looking forward to try a New Mexican restaurant. I was very disappointed. I ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken. The food was bland with no type of Mexican flavor. The guacamole was okay but no flavor either. The salsa was too hot. I felt it was a waste of $15.

I just moved here and me and my wife wanted to try something new to us in the area and we came here. We were greeted quickly and seated right away. They took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa with the drinks. We ordered a cheese dip and it came out instantly. Placed our order, my wife got the pick 2, she chose the chicken quesadilla and a chile relleno, which came with rice and beans. I got the Quesabirria (birria quesadilla,) both entrees came out quickly and were very good. I would go back.

This place was quite different from other Mexican restaurants I have been to. I’m tired of the same rice and beans and lettuce being served everywhere. I ordered the shrimp adobe and it was spicy but soooo good, definitely recommend. Can’t go wrong with the guacamole or cheese dips either!

The restaurant is large and spacious and d the service was great as well.

Customer Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. Service made this visit enjoyable. We ordered the fish tacos, Verde Steak Burrito, and Cheese and a Beef Enchilada with Red Sauce. We also ordered queso for the chips. When I say quick, the chips are immediately served, drinks and queso order taken and delivered in less than five minutes. The queso was served hot and creamy. On the night we dined in, the restaurant was at 90% capacity. We were surprised at how quick we received our food. The food was served hot. The amount of food is well worth the money. Its appreciative to have servers who keep your drink refills flowing and checking in with their tables.

It was pretty good but I still prefer San Antonio Grill in McCalla it's been my favorite for years. I try other places but they aren't as good. Especially the steak fajitas. I ordered a steak fajita but the steak was thin and the flavor wasn't nearly as good as San Antonio Grill.

My family and I are loving this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the chips and salsa/queso are great. Everything is hot and fresh. The service has also been excellent, and we’ve been twice so far. The first time, the restaurant was slightly less busy so we even had more than one server check on us. I’m so happy to have El Jalisco in the neighborhood, and I am looking forward to making it my family’s new regular Mexican restaurant!

Was looking forward to coming here as it is a new restaurant just opened. Tried the pick three dinner with the enchilada, tamale and chili con Carne all three were sort of just bland not great was not a big fan of the ground meat as it was very small and sort of granular, not a lot of seasoning that that may just be me because I do like things a little spicier, the wife got chicken enchiladas and they were also bland chicken filling the sauces, However, we’re tasty on the items.they do charge extra if you want a hot sauce to put in your salsa and right now, they do not have a liquor license yet.
