Went for the 1st time and got chicken fajitas Togo. The food was great except they forgot the tortillas. I called and the manager said he'd make it right. Went back the next day. Guy i talked to on the phone wasn't there. The guy who i talked to in person just said he'd make sure the tortillas were in there this time. No discount. Won't be back.

So happy I gave this place a try because it is now my favorite mexican spot on 280. As soon as you walk in they have the specials listed and the staff was very friendly. Salsa, queso, margaritas, and entrees were fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Food was OK. Ordered the burrito grande which was to have ground beef and chicken. Only had beef. They did bring a small dish of shredded chicken when I asked about it. Plate looked rather bland as it was a flour tortilla with white cheese sauce. A little shredded lettuce, salsa and guacamole would have made it more appealing to the eye.

Food was typical US Mexican… not bad but nothing to write home about… I ordered a raspberry margarita, it didn’t taste like raspberry but I didn’t complain. The main reason I’m writing this is because the smell of the bathroom…. It stunk, smelled like sewage or something. There were also gnats flying around the dining area. Not sure what the health score is… I’m just going to pray about it lol. Server was Mary I believe, she was very nice.

Went for the Cinco de Mayo specials, great portions for a great price, amazing margaritas served in a clay canteen. The service gets four stars because I had to ask for a water and napkins, just small things like that. Fantastic spot!

Amazing place.
My family and I went to eat dinner there and food was delicious, staff was kind and very friendly.
The atmosphere was nice, not loud (I do not like loud places), very clean 👌🏻
We loved it.
I totally recommend it!

We used to go here all the time back when it was Ixtapa. We have tried it and just simply do not care for it under the new name and ownership. Not near as good.

The waitress, Carman (I’m not sure if I spelled her name correctly) made my first experience here an absolute dream. Great service. Great food and even better margaritas.

This place is a gem. I think their food is better than any Mexican restaurant in the 280 area. Their service is better than most restaurants of any cuisine. They are so friendly and accommodating. But get the kicker: their prices are less than all the other Mexican restaurants around. There are specials posted on the way in the door. They also have spectacular Happy Hour prices and Thirsty Thursday drink prices. My friends and I go once a week if not more. I just wish I knew about this place before this year. You will not be disappointed!

First time here. Ask for the hotter salsa vs the regular salsa with chips. The hotter salsa has awesome flavor but isn't too hot. I had the street tacos (canitas & steak). Very good! Noteworthy: the tortillas tasted homemade...EXCELLENT flavor!!

I want to like this place because we have eaten at this location, under several different names, for decades. The service and new decor is great, but the food is my least favorite of all the Mexican restaurants in this area. I have visited 3 times since it reopened as El Patron and tried 3 different dishes and didn't care for any of them.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant on HWY 280! We were driving to the Moody location in a near weekly basis before they opened the 280 location. Excellent food, excellent house margaritas, wonderful service, and reasonable prices. I highly recommend to everyone!!!

New restaurant in the area. Everything was reasonably priced. For the most part, we enjoyed the food. The only thing I’d change was that when we ordered the chili relleno, it came as a bell pepper instead of the actual poblano pepper. Designated vegetarian menu section also!

Everything was fantastic. Ordered a margarita with a swirl of sangria, el Texacano burrito, and a Chile Relano. Their queso was savory and full of flavor. Service was great. The gentleman who waited on us knew his menu, and even though he was doing his side work for the end of the night and we came in a little closer to closing time he was very attentive. Didn’t need for anything we couldn’t get. 10/10 recommend.

Awesome place to eat, atmosphere is way awesome, good place to eat.
Edit: This restaurant has way more, they have awesome tables, seats, and more to offer with their great selection of food. This restaurant is way superior. I don't know, but flavor was key to this location, I really tasted every single bit of the food, including the seasoning.

Keep it up. This place needs to be advertised!
