Some of the best Mexican food in town! When you visit here, you’ll find consistency in the staff, the menu, the food quality, and the drinks. All are excellent and they keep people coming back over and over! I had the cheese and onion enchiladas tonight and ate every bite! Come back to La Fiesta for a great meal and a relaxing experience.

We went here for lunch on a Friday. There was no wait and we got seated quickly. The chips and salsa they brought to snack on while we browse. The menu were delicious! We ordered a taco burrito enchilada combo in the steak lunch fajitas. Everything was really really good! The wait staff was very responsive and friendly. I asked for some hot sauce on the side and they brought out a small cup of homemade hot sauce. Really good stuff! Definitely recommend stopping here for a bite if you’re in the mood for Mexican! 👍

Went to La Fiesta for lunch on a suggestion of a friend who gave us a gift certificate. Upon first entering, was hit with a damp musty smell. The atmosphere was typical Mexican restaurant decor.

Was seated promptly and brought the usual, "chips and salsa". The salsa was more of a "taco sauce". There was no visible onion, tomatoes, cilantro or jalapeños. It was very thin and watery. The chips were room temp and partially stale.

The staff was attentive and nice. They brought our drinks and took our order quickly. The food came out within 10 mins.

I ordered the lunch fajitas- steak. They were hot and fresh. The steak was under seasoned and slightly chewy. Inions and tomatoes had a good taste. Rice and refried beans were...typical rice and beans.

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't to write home about. It was a typical American style Mexican restaurant that uses the same food vendor as every other Mexican restaurant.

All in all, not bad but wouldn't make a special trip here unless I had another gift certificate.

The biggest complaint I have is the burrito was runny and soggy, the steak was chewy, Mexican guacamole had too much onions and cilantro in it, my daughters chicken tenders tasted frozen not fresh, and when I told the waiter about my burrito he said that’s how it’s made and it’s good he sure lol didn’t even acknowledge my complaints made it seem like I lied. When we went to the front to pay the cashier snatched the receipt out my hand rudely. They need to work on their customer service and food quality I won’t be back

I’m giving the service a one star because unless you call at exactly 5 pm, you will only hear a busy signal after that. They also rarely get our order correct for take out orders when we’re able to get through.

If you like Mexican food, this is a good place to eat. I found the quality of their food to be consistently good. Last time I was there with a group of friends and the waiters were confusing orders. My friends seemed to like the food.

We absolutely loved La Fiesta but our recent visit on yesterday changed our mind. The food and past server were absolutely great but the manager was very rude to us yesterday and our server on yesterday was not very knowledgeable of items on menu. We ate at this restaurant 4 times before coming back a 5th and this time I was charged $16.50 instead of $12.50 for a dinner shrimp burrito. I explained to him we visited multiple times between the past month and we were always charged $12.50 for shrimp as I do not eat beef, chicken, or pork. Before the manager came to the table the server stated they do not serve shrimp burritos.. i explained to the server that we always get the same items he stated that was fine and he would make it happen. The manager comes over after a few minutes and interrupts my conversation with my family and states “so whats wrong with the price” I explain to him nothing is wrong but wanted an understanding on what we were being charged he proceeds to say well thats the price. I explained to him I understood then he walks away. His tone of voice and demeanor was rude its a better way to communicate with your customers. Upon leaving my family tells him thank you and have a great night he looks the other way like we were a bother. Sadly i will not return due to the customer service experience i received on yesterday… :(

I've tried every Mexican restaurant in the area and LA Fiesta is the most consistent when it comes to the employees always providing great service and their friendly and the food is the best as far as your typical Mexican restaurant. Obviously The Margherita Grill is exceptional Mexican food but as far as your standard Mexican food goes LA Fiesta is the best.

This is probably the best lunch Mexican spot on 31. The prices are terrific, the portions are great, and it’s just as tasty or better than any of the others. Hidden away, it’s never slammed but the service is even better than the other generic Mexican spots. It’s worth it.

#58 entree was a little underwhelming -would probably stick with enchiladas, fajitas, or other similar items.

Ordered the Chori Burrito and La fiesta nachos. The burrito was great but my nachos were burnt to a crisp. Upon asking for a refund the manager wouldn’t give me a refund and then took it upon himself to make me another set of nachos I didn’t ask for. Never got a refund and had to waste nachos that weren’t going to be eaten.

Seems to have gone "downhill" recently. Last 2 trips have not been very good. Examples: tamales dry; tortillas overdone; get shredded beef bc other beef is tough; spinach cheese dip used to be very good, but today it was served lukewarm with less cheese than normal. Servers are friendly enough, but not very attentive once you are served. I had a beef flauta & the beef was bad. The owner did not want to acknowledge it was possible. Not sure if or when we might return.

Our neighborhood Mexican restaurant has been around for decades, and we love having it as a part of our community. The people there are always friendly, and the service is great. We almost always get the same thing, the vegetarian plate number 23, and spinach quesadillas. But even when we mix it up and have other dishes, they are great too! The atmosphere is casual and neighborly, usually with various sports showing on TVs spread out around the restaurant.

We went with friends to catch up after a long time of not being together. The meal was so so. The service however was awful. One friend ordered a refill on his drink but it did not come until he was through eating. We asked for a go box and a bag. Got the box but no bag. Had to ask again and finally go one. My friend who just got his drink asked for a go cup since we finished our meal. We were told that they do not give out go cups. What the %#*%*#* ? So I offered to pay for the old scuffed up plastic glass and offered him $5.00 for it. I was told the could not do that. Because they have to have it for customers. I said we are paying customers why wouldn’t you have go cups for paying customers. Charge for them if you are so cheap. Needless to say we will never go back. There are too many High quality restaurants in Hoover to give this guy one penny of my good earned money.

While most of the food was acceptable, the service was slow and prices charged were not the same prices reflected on the menu provided to us when we sat down. The guacamole dip was plain - there was no onion or cilantro in it and it tasted pretty much like mashed avocado with some lime juice and salt. We were also charged a additional $2.25 when we asked for hot sauce to put on our tacos (our salsa bowl was empty by the time food arrived) and then we only received a half full 1 oz portion souffle cup of hot sauce.

Aside from the roach on the wall, I asked the server for a to go box for my food. He walked off but then came back a few minutes later and took my plate...which was half full. I thought maybe he was boxing it but he never came back. I asked another person and they said they threw it out.

Only redeeming quality is cactus margarita,, but not worth the rest

After a few suggestions to try this place, we did. We won't be back.

Food is very tex-mex, not authentic at all, the Chili Rellano was literally a one inch square of a hard (I'm assuming bell) pepper, not battered, covered in cheese with meat underneath.

We went on a Sunday so it was super crowded which is to be expected, food come out quick but the whole restaurant has a gross musty odor, I'm sure it's the carpet, however none wants to eat somewhere that smells like that.

Ordered a large margarita $22, it was big enough for four people!

I would not recommend this place! If I could give this a 0 star I would!! The cheese dip came to the table not melted. We had to send both of them back and asked for them to be heated in the microwave. My quesadilla was fried in what taste like old grease, and the old grease flavor was all the flavor it had. The beans were bad and the rice, crunchy. The chimichanga, which has cheese dip on top everywhere else, is served dry with frost bite lettuce.
The thing that makes me upset the most was the fact that we ran out of drink and no one ever came back to fill our drink. ($2.50) each. (So service is terrible) I took our check to the counter and ask for a to go cup since we were still thirsty and they charged me for another drink….but did not tell me.
When asked why my bill had become over $60…I was then told then they charged me for the additional drinks. Which I told them they could keep.
Save your money! I am not sure how their rating is so high but I am sure the reviews have to be fake.

It was New Years Eve and we were invited to this restaurant by friends of ours. There were 7 of us and we sat out on the patio. There were a larger party behind us but this did not impact us on receiving our food in a timely manner. However, we had chips and salsa with cheese queso to munch on so we really didn't care. There were curbside pickups taking place as well. I had a chicken burrito and my wife had a chicken quesadilla which were very good. Our waiter brought the margaritas from the bar quickly while keeping our drinks full and checking on us frequently. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Been coming here for a couple decades now. Always on point, the fish tacos with fajita veggies is amazing. Beat Margaritas in the state and the margarona is to DIE for. Great staff, always brings frosted mugs for beers, always professional. Clean too! Would recommend to anyone. Only complaint is they don't do large bowls of questions dip but is that really a problem? Best Mexican spot in Birmingham.

Delicious food, friendly staff, & I especially appreciate how baby-friendly they were here. Wiped down the high chair for us before we put baby in, paid careful attention to what they put on the table to keep her from touching anything hot, checked on us regularly. We will be back! Thank you

La Fiesta has been the best Mexican restaurant in the Birmingham area for a long time. Everything is always fresh and first rate. I have memories of several birthdays and occasions here, over the years. Never disappoints!! I don’t always find it the friendliest place in the world but it’s not rude. The food is worth it!
