This restaurant is my #1 go to spot for Mexican food. The food is always fresh and well seasoned. My favorite margarita from this place is the Watermelon, on the rocks, sugar on the rim. Never been a fail. As far as entree I get the chicken chimichanga.

The staff is so much fun here! Always a delight to eat here with a wide variety of menu. Location is also convenient for any fun gathering. As a busy real estate agent in 35242, this is a great place to gather clients and friends.

Good food and great service! Although there were way too many beans in my burrito and not enough of the steak or any other of the ingredients. The margaritas had minimal tequila and way too much margarita mix. Other than these few things, everything was enjoyable. And also, this is one of the few local places that provide a guacamole that hasn't given me food poisoning due to improper storage or trying to stretch it past its expiration date so thank you for that!

Might find. We stared with a few drinks at the bar while we waited on the rest of our group. Each choice was Devine. Then time for the food. The choices were plentiful and the portions were large. Great flavor for the dishes we chose. We were in a great location for visiting with our group. There are over 20 large TVs throughout the place offering the latest game to watch. Let me mention something I generally don’t include in my reviews. The bathrooms smelled fresh and recently cleaned. This is a location for everyone with something for people of all ages. Great people, great food, great location, great service equals great a choice.

Decent quality food for a high price. Came in for lunch. Lunch specials are very overpriced, much like the rest of the menu. 1 enchilada, rice and beans were $11.20. $12.32 after tax. That should be $8.99 max. Guessing because it's near Greystone and Brook Highland. Will Not be back.

This place is typical cheesy/greasy Tex-Mex Gringo food. It's food is USUALLY above average, but sometimes disappoints. In the age of the post-covid employee drought I guess that's...average. for whatever reason service is typically slow or disinterested.
They have raised prices now to the point it's silly.

The food was good overall. The chips, salsa, and cheese were very good. We ordered nachos, and they were average. The flavor just wasn't there for Mexican food. You expect bold flavors, and they just barely tasted of anything. The building is very nice and our waiter was top notch.

I wish there were more options for substitutions for the fajitas. I wanted chicken and shrimp but had to order the one that included chorizo, ribs, and steak.. I gave the beef and pork to my son who said that it wasn't flavorful to him. The drinks were good and so was the rest of the food. The atmosphere got kinda weird when they dimmed the lights randomly....Maybe this is a usual thing. But most of the guests were looking confused just like me! Lol

The food was good, but I had better food from other Mexican restaurants in the area. Ambiance is nice with music and interesting pictures. Service wasn't that great. The waitress Trina didn't give us the same service as her other customers. She barely came check in on us, and her attitude wasn't that nice. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Pretty good! They make a solid margarita, and the chips and salsa are excellent, actually has a little spice to it which is a nice departure from other Mexican establishments! Entrees are good, the Hawaiian Quesadilla is fire. Plan to have leftovers because the amount of food they give you is insane.

Ordered take out, was ready in 10 minutes. The problem is when I walked in the door, no one said a word to me for 5 minutes. During that time, 5 more people came in (2 separate groups) and they got seated before anyone checked on my food! After that, two different workers walked away from me for another 5 minutes. All the while, my food was right on the table, ready to be put in my hands the entire time.

So in short, I stood there for 10 minutes waiting on food that was already ready to go. I just needed someone to run my card and put the food in my hands.

Me and boyfriend were discriminated against at this restaurant on lastnight. We went and sat at the bar as we are new to Birmingham & they had pretty good reviews. We ordered drinks and the bartender asked us for our ID’s, we gave them to her and she looked for about 30 secs. Then she said she needed to “check” with her manager. I went to the car and got my boyfriend a jacket because he was cold, when i got back, the manager told us that she is going to call the police to see if our IDs were fake. We are both adults and did not deserve to be treated like this. I won’t be back due to them stereotyping us and not serving us.

Had dinner there tonight. Food was okay. Definitely not worth the price. WORST PART WAS toward the end. Our server had a HUGE PERSONALITY SWITCH after the bill was paid. She assumed she wasn't getting a tip (we did with cash before leaving) and the last 20mins we were there she was BEYOND RUDE! Had a stank expression on her face, barely spoke back when spoke too, and here's the best part.. The last thing she said to us is, "was my service not good?" We said, "yes of course" She responded with "oh.. because y'all didn't leave me a tip" and then walked away. My dad went up and personally gave her a tip right after and SHE STILL had a nasty attitude. I mean she pissed us off and embarrassed my father. He already wasn't feeling well and didn't need that. And don't even get me started on the bathrooms. I have a new baby and had to change him with one hand because the changing table has LITERAL trash on it.. just disappointing.

Sheer awful. Leaking ceiling and food was worse then a frozen dinner from the grocery store. Staff has time to congregate at the host stand instead of checking on customers. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

My son was home on shore leave from the Navy and had a taste for Latin food. We loaded up the family and headed over. Their menus for food and drinks are tremendous and take a moment for first-timers to look through. Unfortunately, our Waitress wasn't feeling patient that night and returned every 2 minutes to see if we were ready to order. It wasn't a busy night and there were more than a dozen open tables. We were chatting and sharing the ONE drink menu she brought for 3 adults to share, all while trying to rush us. The drinks took a bit to prepare, so we ordered an appetizer while we decided on entrées. The waitress was VISIBLY getting irritated. So we resolved to finish and wrap up the rest of our food and leave. When my son inquired if there was a discount for active servicemen, she rolled her eyes at him. "Yes", she replied, and my wife heard her mutter "f-ing white people" under her breath as she walked away.
Wow. Okay. We paid. Left her the bare minimum 15% (she's still gotta eat even if she's a terrible person). Awesome food, the sweet old guy who filled our chips 2x was amazing and kind, the lady who seated us was sweet. Just one bad apple obviously having a rough night. (BTW, yes we are white and aware most of us are terrible to waitstaff. However, that's not my wife or myself, and it's certainly not how we raised our children)

Terrible experience, the margaritas were not good AT ALL, didn't even get the food. Because things that we've asked for at other Mexican restaurants apparently couldn't be done here. That's fine, everyone has their own house rules. But the service, from the moment I walked in, would be in the negative if I could do that. I'd like to think of myself as a semi-regular, as I don't live on this side of town anymore. But as another review said, there are other Mexican restaurants around here. I'm not driving to another side of town for subpar margs, food that I can't get how I want and terrible service. The manager was very nice tho. I greatly appreciated his kindness and understanding.

The food was bland. And it is pricey. I thought maybe since it was more expensive it would be good but it wasn't. Our total for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) all drank water came out to be $66 and come to find out they decided to take a $10 tip out of our debit card when we didn't put a tip on our card. That's what we use cash for!

While the food was very good and the servings were very large the service left a lot to be desired. The hostess literally blew me and another female customer off and was openly hostile to the other customer who was returning for the second time still waiting on her order even after leaving for home and back again. Then the hostess would jump to retrieve the order for multiple men who walked in to pick up for carry out. I waited for at least a half an hour past when the food should have been ready for two basic meals. I started to wonder if she thought I was working for doordash and not a paying customer. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants that can give great service along with excellent food so I won’t be back.

I ordered mixed fajitas and got chicken and a ton of bellpepper. It should have been steak and chicken. Upon a new order it was scorched. The mohitos were too sweet...so we tried the old standby margaritas too much mixer was used. They were a little off for some reason because everything usually is on point. The waiter disappeared after getting the money for the meals but never asked if we wanted dessert. We stopped another waiter and he brought a menu. Will try again but will avoid this particular waiter...never got his name .At 2pm the place wasn't busy.

Had I not came here a lil over a month again from today's service I would never come again but the food was good however we need to teach busses not to temove items from the table before guests leave my items were thrown out before I finished and before I even got my ticket to cash out and my service was mediocre

The environment is large/spacious/inviting; the food (quesadilla deluxe/Alambres) was good/plentiful/quick; and Diego, our server, was attentive without hovering, never let our drinks go empty, and was seen helping everyone (guests/coworkers) in the entire restaurant.

And the ambient music soundtrack was fuego!

Update a few weeks later and still coming.

Several months later and it's still a favorite. Pico was a bit hot today. :)

Waited over 40 minutes for our food while new customers were seated and received their food before us. The restaurant manager and waiter were unapologetic and stated the kitchen was busy. But everyone else was getting their food but our table?!?! Excuse for their poor customer service. Canned salsa and bland chips and guacamole.

Walked in (3 adults) and seated at 9pm. Waiter promptly brought menus, water, silverware, chips and salsa. Salsa and chips were great , cheese dip we ordered was very good. Margaritas were excellent. I ordered chicken enchiladas. . My food looked very good and was looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately my food was cold, not hot, not warm, cold like it had been taking from refrigerator not long before being served. I politely asked our waiter to heat my food. He replied kitchen closed! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said you mean you can't get to the microwave? Same response, kitchen closed! Unbelievable! I could not eat my dinner. Brought it home, heated it up and ate it. Enchiladas were ok but nothing special. This was my first and last time at this establishment!
