Los Arcos Birmingham

We ordered Doordash from here last night and the food was tasty! I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and my wife got the fajita bowl. I’ve gotten the Burrito Texano before as well and everything has tasted good! There is better Mexican food out there, but this isn’t the worst option. The biggest downside of this place was the high price of the queso, because it was $4.99 for a tiny portion.

Ate here for my birthday today.... quiet atmosphere, my only 2 problems was I had to get a second margarita because the first drink had a dead fly in the cup, but the waitress saw it the same time I saw it and instantly apologized and brought me a fresh margarita, and my steak was well done when I didn't ask for well done..other than that, It was good😊

Great atmosphere and great people. Just walking in gave me a smile on my face. Ordered a shrimp chimichanga. I'll let you know how it is soon.

Food was great! Shrimp were cooked to perfection, with a little hint of lime and cilantro, yummy.

Sick. Needed soup. Got the chicken soup. It is 11.99. The chicken included was one lone boiled chicken leg. Should be more. I get this all the time elsewhere and it lasts me 2 days. For the same price. I'll go there instead.

The best one soo far!! I really enjoy happy hour on Thursday and Saturdays! The nachos Cancun is my favorite dish to order! Also the staff is very friendly ! Those margaritas is not watered down!

When I arrived I was warned by a guest near the entrance to check my bill for added charges before I left. When my bill came there were several items I had not ordered added. The cashier argued with me over the charges. Not all the additional charges were removed. I gave up. I will not be back.

My birthday dinner with my BFF. Food was excellent. Our server was beyond a 5 star rating. Surprised me after entrée, with dessert, and Happy Birthday song with everyone there. It was fun! Thanks so much for the memorable experience.

The Taco Tuesday special is losing its charm... The 99 cent beef tacos have really gone downhill, the ground beef was flavorless and tasted old, the taco shells and chips were both stale and old; I don't think I'll be returning.

They are starting to get very sloppy. I am a vegetarian and the last two times I have ordered food there has been meat in my veggie dish. Really? If I wanted meat, I would order it myself! I won't be back.

Food was amazing! Service was quick but there was a slight slip-up with the tacos. I ordered soft but received hard. However the server was quick to fix it and I got 2 free hard tacos. Overall great experience as I usually have at a Los Arcos.

Worst place ever! They jack up prices, leave out items. Employees are beyond rude & combative. They charge you for extra, then argue with you & threaten to call the police. We waited for the police to show up, but they never came. Probably because they knew the accusations were false. I believe these actions were deplorable, absolutely asinine & utterly abhorrent. I've been coming here for over 8 years. This is a embarrassing & a total decrease for something that would have been a great franchise. WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Don’t Eat Here!!! They messed up our drinks. The drinks were watered down. Cheese dip was watered down. Food wasn’t great just below average

Our server was Berto and he was amazing!!! He really made our experience the best I've had yet at Los Arcos. And I've dined here several times. This visit was in 10/14/23. He recommended the Sincronizada and it was very delicious! Our food came out super fast and was piping hot. And Berto practiced Spanish with me as well. I definitely appreciated his patience as I ordered and the conversational Spanish. My husband is a chef and He loved the food as well. I highly recommend this Los Arcos location.

The staff was courteous and truly mexican speaking Spanish is easier for my family so it allowed everyone to have there questions asked and the recommendations from them were excellent.

Over charged my card and wanted to blame it on the bank. This has never happened and I have came to this restaurant on more than one occasion. And used a card to pay. You put in how much it's supposed to be. You not doing a pre-authorization. Will never dine in at this restaurant again.

I Ate Chicken Fajitas 🐔 and my hubby had beef. We both got indigestion that night and tummy issues the next morning. The meat was shredded and dry. The staff was fantastic though! Prices average.

The last 3 times I've gotten take out they have taken 45 minutes to make my food and it is ALWAYS wrong. And don't try to call cause their phone doesn't work! Avoid this place if you want a decent dinner experience.

This isn't a very nice place to visit... We waited almost an hour for our food and then the waiter was soooo horrible and didn't know who ordered what food and when a person sitting at our table ordered her food it wasn't good and She tried to return the food back in.. they didn't want to accept her food back so she ordered another plate of food but they charged us for the food that she asked the manager to exchange it for another plate of food that costs the same price but.. we got charged for the 2 plates of food... And we didn't leave the waiter a tip either.. so I guess he got paid when they charged us for the extra plate smdh!!!! Never go back to this place again!!!!

Los Arcos has become our favorite/ most frequented restaurant in Birmingham. My partner and I enjoy lunch or dinner here probably once a week and have never had anything less than an excellent experience. The telltale sign of an outstanding restaurant is consistency and Los Arcos delivers 110% on this front. The food is always spot-on (best Mexican I’ve found in my 10 years of living here), you simply won’t find better service (so friendly, courteous, and fast!), the atmosphere is welcoming, and the restaurant itself is pristinely clean. On top of all of this, their prices are beyond reasonable. This place is a gem.

I always get the fiesta flaming cheese. It is always good but Maria, our waitress, made the experience so great. She was nice great attitude and catered to my baby with so much love and attention. We tip anyway but we added extra cause she was super attentive and didn't even get annoyed when the baby made a mess. She's due so much gratitude

I remember when this location opened I use to visit every day AND RAVE ABOUT IT. Today however is a different story. I left the movie theater across from the parking lot and was craving Mexican food. The Queso dip was watery I understand stretching the product but when I started to mention the issue to the waitress she took the words out of my mouth so I knew it was watered down. The strawberry daiquiri had no flavor and when mentioned again to the waitress she said “that’s not very good” the quality is clearly not the same.the quesadilla I had was subpar the chicken seemed like it came out of seasoned water it had little to no flavor with the watery queso on top. It seems like it is now one of those restaurants that used to be really good and has been around for a long time and loses it spark and now everyone goes because they are used to it and now it holds sentimental value

Food is fine but nothing to write home about. It is frustrating how far down hill this place has gone. They totally overcharge you so I guess you need to order online or something so they don’t attempt to take advantage of you when you pick it up. Oversold me on queso saying that I needed a medium, when a small could have easily fed 2 people (which was what I was needing). The medium was more for like a family of 5-6, and then, they overcharged for queso that wasn’t very good. $30 for two lunch specials and mediocre queso was absurd and not what I was expecting. Used to like this place, but I don’t think I’ll be back anymore.

Arrived at Birmingham Airport & wanted Mexican cuisine. Los Arcos good reviews are deserved.
The food was good, fresh & made with a homemade taste. Very friendly service, nice decor & super clean.

Just really not good. Wait staff was friendly, but otherwise a disaster. Charged $7.75 for cheese dip, which was not good. Salsa was terrible. Food itself was not good either. All in all, $13 a person was just not worth it for the pretty greasy and flavorless food we received. Lot’s of better Mexican restaurants in the Birmingham area, unfortunately.
