Take out had a lengthy wait. The tacos were not the best they had minimal cilantro and the sauce weren’t in the bag. One piece of dried up lime . The place itself looks rundown , get it together for me.

Well I ordered the gringa plate it was good little bland my husband ordered a 3 meat fajita plate and nachos...the nachos lacked meat and I understand its supposed to be authentic but the partially raw non flavored potatoes in the nachos really threw it off in my opinion....the meat on the meat plate yes the shrimp came with tails still attached and the steak was a thin flank cut with no seasoning at all and it had a gamey taste to it...it was not a good taste...the chicken was ok...we also ordered mango water which was super sweet I dont know what they put in it but it was too sweet. We are frequent mexican food diners and have been almost everywhere in the area including taco trucks...not impressed with this place....the manager was very nice and understanding we didnt eat the one dish an didnt take it with us and he did take it off our ticket...we probably will never go back there...

Never had anything like it. And not in a good way. The only way I can really describe it is “if AI was trying to make texmex”. I am leaving a review because Im 29 and it’s the worst Mexican food ive had in my entire life. This is my first review I have ever left. That’s how terrible it was. Not to mention the order was entirely incorrect. Everything was bad regarding this take out order. I genuinely am appalled. Worse than the public cafeteria food I had in middle school.

Ordered online through their website, went to pick up the food, they told me I was scammed, I showed them the receipt and the restaurant name and address, they didn’t even offer to give me the food or help, never even heard of such a thing, so their website and restaurant is a scam, never coming back here again

Great place with authentic mexican food and great variety of Mexican food. From an ambiance perspective the walls are adorned with fun Mexican sayings and famous locations in Mexico and has great rancheras, corridos, and other Mexican music. For those of us looking for cabeza, tripas, chicharron, etc you can get your fix in taco, gordita, burrito, torta, quesadilla format. Aguas frescas, imported Mexican coke, and jarritos amongst drink options. I gotta say as a south Texas transplant, this place feels like a little slice of home. The place is a little small, but I love to bring the family or order delivery if we don't feel like going out. Not sure if the workers are family, but it definitely has an unassuming mom and pop shop casual vibe.

The food could’ve had so much potential however it did not. Terribly dry, tasteless and overall nasty! My husband and I are pissed we chose this spot over another one we had in mind. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! The customer service sucks also! There are so many other great Mexican restaurants around even food trucks! I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

First time ordering from here and was quite disappointed. The cheese dip was good but the chips were stale. The birria quesadilla (beef, not goat) had generous filling but had no flavor. Even the consommé (dip) lacked flavor. The Al pastor tacos again were generously filled but the only noticeable flavor was the pineapple. The salsa verde was good, with a nice kick of spice but I had ordered one salsa verde and one guacamole salsa but received 2 salsa verde. Ended with a churro which was excellent! Crunchy outside with a soft center and plenty of cinnamon sugar. It would have been nice to have a chocolate dipping sauce though. Not sure if I’ll try them again.

I went here today (Tuesday) with a group of guys from class and had the all you can eat tacos for 12 bucks. They were amazing! The family running the place were super cool as well. Best Mexican food I've had in the Hoover area hands down. Try it!

No lo recomiendo , bajo la calidad y cantidad de comida y subió mucho el precio de ella, entiendo que todo subió pero hubieran mantenido la calidad de la comida que tenían antes , un taco 4dlls poca carne y tortilla muy delgada que se desbarata a la mitad del taco , muy caro para lo que sirven. Teníamos muchos años yendo a ese lugar y nos gustaba pero ya no es lo mismo, no lo recomiendo ni volveremos a ir a ese lugar .

The best Mexican food available in our state.

If you want the "real deal" come here. The staff sometimes doesn't speak very good English, but the menu is on point...like as in just point at what you want on the menu. It's in both English and Spanish. Authentic Mexican food At its finest. They'll gladly serve anyone. I personally grew up in lower California and spent a lot of time in Mexico This is the best Mexican food I've had since I've been in this state. We can't get enough of this place.

I more than highly recommend coming here. Get up off the couch and go try this amazing restaurant. This is where all my Latino friends go to get their Mexican food, so you know it's the best in town.

No me gusto! Gross! Chicken had a nasty, gamey taste to it. Nachos had no cheese. Best thing was the churros, but those are almost impossible to mess up.

Ordene unas enchiladas verdes de pollo desmenuzado. Las enchiladas estaban muy secas y el relleno solo era pollo hervido que estaba medio frío. El otro detalle que me pareció muy mala práctica es que utilizaron un microondas para derretir el poco queso que las enchiladas llevaban encima. Esto ocasionó que partes de las enchiladas estuviesen duras. Además no creo que el contenedor de comida para llevar que utilizan sea apropiado para calentar comida en un microondas. En cuanto al servicio lo que puedo decir es que la señora que contesta en teléfono y atiende la caja tiende a ser áspera. Espero y el dueño tome acción en corregir la situación ya que por muchos años este había sido uno de los lugares de preferencia para mi y mis compañeros de trabajo. Lamentablemente por el momento buscaré otras alternativas.

I ordered steak Nachos and steak tacos and they were both so bland. The meat didn’t taste like anything! No salt, no seasoning. The cut up limes that came with the steak tacos were very hard and they seemed old. You couldn’t get any juice out of them. There was also not a lot of meat on the tacos. For $24 total the food was not worth it. I didn’t even finish both meals because it just wasn’t good. Chipotle is cheaper and honestly tastes way better.

I went to eat lunch on a Sunday, they were busy but found a table, I tried out their pozole and agua fresca( house made fresh water) and it was great! My server was friendly, did wait a little bit for my food but was worth it. The pozole itself tasted great, and it was a huge bowl with toppings on a side dish. Very authentic food and setting, definitely going back to try out their menu.

I picked up two tortas to go 2/26/21. It was a complete rip off. At $10 for the torta you would think they put a decent amount of meat on the sandwich. Once I got back to the job and looked at the sandwich(barbacoa) it "barley" had any meat, mostly all bread and lettuce with refried beans. I asked my co worker and his was the same(carne asada). In this day in time you can't try to pull these fast ones on people. They did and this is why I'm leaving a review so people know to check their tortas before they leave the restaurant.

In their efforts to be as authentic Mexican restaurant as they can by making their own hand-made tortillas, they really doom themselves. Good effort but horrible execution. The hand-made tortillas do not hold themselves together well. I have never had to eat authentic tacos with a fork but that's what you'll be forced to do to continue enjoying your meal as they literally crumble. The meat itself is good, I ordered barbacoa tacos. However, they just take a chunk of meat and put it on their paper-thin tortillas. As a suggestion, they definitely should cut the meat or pull it apart, because the meat eventually starts tasting dry as you get closer to the middle of the chunk. I love this place though, the Agua de Horchata is fantastic.
