Las Mesas Mexican Grill

Food was delicious, shredded beef tacos and shreds chicken taco salad were both full of flavor and something we would definitely order again. Chips and salsa were also top notch.
Service was excellent, our server was fast and friendly always ready with refills when needed and attentive throughout our meal but not overly attentive. Prices were great as well.
Atmosphere was nice was inviting and very clean and organized. We were visiting from Florida and stopped in here while traveling, we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was here overall. Keep up the good work you have wonderful reviews due to your organized way you run this business and kitchen staff are at the top of their game. Well done! I highly recommend you dine here if you’re looking for excellent Mexican food and service.

We loved it! We needed a meal on the trip from FL to AL & this was a great place to stop & eat - the waitress was nice & pleasant. The atmosphere is really cool! The kids loved their food & we enjoyed fajitas & chimichanga. My oldest said his cheese enchilada was better than any he's ever had!

We eat here often and usually have a great experience but today not so much. Too many servers trying to wait on the same tables and I wasn't thrilled about a server picking up my daughter's plate without asking if she was finished with her food. My daughter had gone to the bathroom and when she returned her food was gone.

Very friendly fast service. I really love the atmosphere. It was an up beat place to have dinner, However, I got my mine to go. I would’ve love to stay, but I didn’t have time. I will absolutely go again! If you’re ever stopping in Calera and have a taste for some delicious Mexican food. Make sure you try this place out, it was very delicious👍 I had the enchiladas, rice, and beans.

The high rating for this place is no joke - it’s my favorite Tex-mex restaurant. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. They also don’t charge me out the wazoo when I customize my plate. The owner (I think) also constantly walks the floor and interacts with his customers, which is a big reason I think this place is so popular. The same employees greet you and serve you, so you can tell they’re well taken care of. Small establishments like this are rare. I love this place!

A great Mexican restaurant near the Interstate. We stopped there after a train ride at the Historic train station. The dining area is remarkable due to the extension decorations. The menu was standard Mexican restaurant but the food was very good. We sat in a booth but the center has many tables that can be pushed together for groups. The staff was very responsive and friendly. The music swit he'd from traditional Mexican to modern, which was refreshing..

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant, we usually eat here once a week. We tried the one in Calera when we met family and it is just as good as our home restaurant in Chelsea. You should definitely try any of the meals with stake in them.

Came to eat here food was good and when it was time to pay they gave a ticket and there seem to be a price there so we gave the waiter the money and he looked at it and said thanks and walked away as we where already outside a few workers came rushing to us saying we owe money still and that we are suppose to go pay the cashier to give us the total when we were not even told this beforehand which was embarrassing as the waiter had already said we were good to go they could’ve just sent one person to let us know but had about 4-5 ppl instead don’t think ill be going back here

En vez de enviar a una persona para informarnos fueron entre 4 y 5 personas. No creo que vuelva aquí.

I come out to Alabama every once in a while for football games and this is the first time I’ve ever been here. The wait staff was very friendly and upbeat. Also it was the weekend before Halloween so a lot of them were dressed up and just having fun. I ordered a top shelf strawberry margarita and it was very good. Some places make it too sweet but this was great. I orders the Shrimp Fajitas and the were awesome! They came out sizzling and I was ready to eat. If I am ever in the area, I will come back.

There aren't enough words to say how good my food was. The salsa was so fresh tasting, usually at other places it has a metallic taste, but not here..it was so good. My pork was tender melt in ur mouth good. My rice was flavorful...it was such a wonderful experience

Everyone was nice but when it came to us ordering dessert after we finished our meal we were told the kitchen was too busy to make a dessert and I’m sure they wanted to hurry us up from the table to seat the next group. I ordered soup , i asked for a bit of hit sauce to out in it. I cant believe that charge $2:00 for hot sauce. I have never been charged for a condiment. I was expecting them to bring a bottle, I think the waitress should have mentioned that 2 droos of hot sauce had a charge. Then the owner/manager got smart about it. Many Mexican places to choose from. Avoid this one

Carne plate was insanity!!! Well done, tender, seasoned to perfection... the sides and the sauce on the cheese enchilada that comes with the dish is ridiculously good!!!

Aslo Ask for the extra hot salsa, it will blow doors.... it has a rich smokey flavor with a subtle heat... not to overpowering but just enough to waken the palate....

I've been to every state, ate in more places, then I can remember, and this restaurant is going in my favorites list anytime I'm in town...

We stopped through on our way back from the coast and are very pleased we did! The fajitas and chimichangas are excellent! Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was delivered to the table very quickly. Can’t say anything bad about this place at all!!

We have dined here at least 20 times. Maybe 40. It is always absolutely, deliciously awesome. Let me just tell you the service is the best. Ask for the gringo. The margaritas?? Wonderful. A pitcher is $12 and its soo good.
