The facility is nice, and they are constantly cleaning. The food is as good as eating in Mexico. These guys got the food down. I highly recommend Toco El Paisano.

Great Authentic Mexican Food! I was so glad to run across this place. They have great tacos and tamales. Don’t expect chips and salsa to start. Instead you will get fresh cilantro and chopped onions along with a delicious bowl of beans. Also, if you like tongue, tripe, gut, etc. you can find it on the menu here.

This institution of enterprise is wonderful. Upon my first visit I was doubtful to say the least, but looks can be deceiving. I chose the simplicity of a chicken enchilada to order, and most times I order that at other bureaus, it tastes underwhelming and quite comparable to each other. But this officialdom was able to twist the ways of bland and dull enchiladas. I am happy to announce this facility was not bland nor dull, and quite satisfactory at the least. I hope this review will illuminate and illustrate the possible conceptualization of proposing to sojourn here. Salutations. 👋😲

True authentic Mexican food with great service! We have been going there since they opened. Feels like we are eating in Mexico, not Chelsea, AL. You won't get Tex-Mex here! It's the real deal!! Try the horchata or jamaica for your drink. For something you don't find in most Mexican restaurants in Bham area, order the huaraches, chavindeca, and/or the sopes.

This is absolutely authentic. I taste Jalisco every bite!! I can't believe this place exist in the middle of nowhere and they are from my 2nd home.

They have made some shuttle changes for Americans but the bulk of the food is totally authentic...heaven.

Absolutely in love with Mexican food! 🌮 As a Realtor and a dedicated foodie, I couldn't resist stopping by Tacos El Paisano in Chelsea after a busy day of Buyers Tours. To my surprise, I bumped into my old friend Deon, whom I met at MetroPCS around 5 years ago. Deon's unforgettable, beaming smile instantly puts you at ease, and just like me, he never forgets a face.

I couldn't resist asking Deon for a quick interview, and voila! I ordered 2 street tacos and 2 tamales, and they gave me bean soup, which was still piping hot when I returned to my office in Pelham. They were absolutely the bomb: delicious and comforting. The hot sauce for my tacos was just the right amount of spicy.

This restaurant is close to my house. Best burrito I have ever had. It was filling and good. The service was fast. I can't wait to try other food dishes at location. The prices were fair.

If you love spicy food, this is where you need to be!! Mine was too hot/spicy for me to eat, but the chips were great. I wish it could be a regular place for us, the atmosphere and customer service is fantastic. I just can't do all that heat, personally

Probably the best Mexican food in the state of Alabama.
The tortillas are great and so is the meat. I especially like the Pastor and Shrimp.

This is as close to So Cal Mexican food as it gets in this area. I highly recommend if you want to try authentic Mexican food.

1 Huarache

Los tacos son $3.50
El huarache no me recuerdo vamos ponerle $8.00
Coca vamos ponerle $4
Total $29.50 y vamos ponerle taxes no va llegar a ser $42.90. Y viendo los comentarios de otros personas parece que aquí pasa frecuente que te cobra de mas. Yo no volvería para trás por esa razón ni lo recomiendo que vayan allí amenos quieren que le robe su dinero. For the all English speaker make sure they charge you the correct amount, add all what you ate they are going to charge you more what you ordered. Be aware.

They make their tortillas from scratch. Order two carne asada and two pastor tacos. Came with the side of beans and I wasn't expecting but was a nice surprise.

No chips and salsa while waiting for our food but they had a small bowl of beans soup. The food was great. Very authentic Mexican food unlike other Mexican restaurants. The cheese dip was delicious. Service was quick. It looks like a small Mexican diner.

Never got a refill for my drink that I paid 3.75 for. So I asked when I was leaving for a drink to go, they charged me 2.25 for the drink. No chips an salsa... So lunch cost 17.59 for a chimichanga. Never again for me!

Not really family friendly if you have younger kids, there is no "kids menu". Food is really good though. I would say smaller portions compared to other similar restaurants though.

The food was very good, whoever I rate this 3 stars because when I was prompt to pay my bill, Accidentally the lady in the register charge me with extra 7$ so when I politely ask why she was charging me the extra money she insisted that was because of taxes, I didn’t get mad because she was charging me
more, I did get mad because she questioned my intelligence, at that point the OWNER came and instead of apologizing he treated me like I was doing a show for nothing, and he didn’t even care and said like “just give her 10$ back” My big problem is is not the extra 7$ she charged me more, is like to how many people this has been happening and nobody’s have ever noticed??? please be aware and make sure to make your total in your mind before pay.
