The service wasn't good. The meat in the taco and burrito tasted funny. The refried beans and rice were good. There was one girl working there that stayed on her phone the whole time instead of helping. It's been awhile since we've been there. And looks like it will be a long time before going back if we do.

This is my new go to for margaritas and mexican food! SO GOOD! Service was amazing we got our strawberry margaritas and they were perfect not to sweet not to sour, our food came about 7 minutes later. I got the lunch quesadilla with beans and rice. It was the perfect size and was delicious. Our server was attentive and informative. And it only came to 17 bucks. I will be going here from now on.

The chicken is cooked in a lot of red seasonings and the rice is cooked in tomato sauce plus the spinach for the espinacas is also cooked with red seasonings so I couldn't eat any of that food. I'm allergic to all red seasonings, red foods & things with red dye. I felt awful sending my order back to eat vegetarian stuff when i was really craving meat..ughhh. The waitress was really nice & said don't worry about it. I'll take it off your bill. Can I get you something else? My Hubby enjoyed his big burrito and my sister enjoyed her Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla with a side of rice, sour cream & guacamole. My hubby had sticker shock when he saw the cost of a large cheese dip ($9.00).

Holy Guacamole! This place is great. I had the Pollo Valerta with Spanish rice and steamed vegetables that were so perfectly flavored it had my tongue dancing the Pasodoble. My wife had the Pollo Loco with steamed vegetables and the guacamole. Very reasonable price and excellent service.

First time to have lunch at Margaronas and the food was good. The chips with salsa were outstanding. Chips were crisp and fresh. The salsa was some of the best I've had. I got the lunch special, Fundido grill with chicken, rice, and beans. It was excellent and a large portion. My son got vegetarian burritos and was pleased with his meal.
I knocked off one star for atmosphere because I personally don't care for the trend to put TVs in restaurants. That along with music is too much noise for me.

Margarona's Cantina is a filthy, rundown old restaurant with marginal food. Ate there on 7/20/24. One of our party had a rock the size of a pinto bean in his food. My cheese enchiladas were served with uncooked/undercooked tortillas. Salsa is weak and overly sweet. Queso "dip" is disgusting, watery, slimy white stuff. Smoke hangs in the air like their kitchen vents are clogged. Our booth: iwalls were spattered with food, the ledge adjacent to the booth had a thick residue of dirt and food, the bench seats' vvinyl covers are crumbling and there is no cushion left, and the floor was dirty and slimy. Womens restrooms are disgusting. Surprised they haven't been shut down by the Health Department. Dont let all the "Best Of" banners in the dirty windows fool you - stay safe and do not eat here.

Our daughter and son in-law took us to Margaronas tonight. The restaurant is really a nice place. It is clean, and the seating is in a large open area. We did not feel the tables were placed too close and the lighting was about as it should be. The gentlemen that took care of us did a really good job. We were a group of eight and he had our drinks on the table shortly after we sat down. He gave us time to look over the menu and then took our orders. Our food came quickly and everything was as we ordered. Our glasses were kept full and we had a good evening. The reason for the rating of three is based on consistancy. We have found that the food can be exceptional on one visit and not so good on the next. Tonight was what we would call pretty good. My feeling is that every business has to decide what it wants to be. They then need to provide a food that is consistant. People should know what to expect every trip in. Margaronas needs to be more consistant. We know they are capeable of hitting the mark of excellent but they do not hit it consistantly.

We are not from the area but frequently visit Mexican Restaurants. The food was very reasonably priced, and the service was perfect. Here are some things to note regarding the foods we tried:
The guacamole is more of a creamy consistency, which some prefer, but I actually enjoy more of a fresh and chunky texture/taste. The salsa was similar. It was rather thin with fine bits of texture. If you do not like spicy salsa, then this would be great for you. The portion sizes were more than enough with our entrees. I ordered a grilled chicken fajita quesadilla and there was plenty left over!

Food was good but they got 3 orders wrong, struggled to communicate, couldn’t get one of the orders right (just needed a plain meat and cheese taco), and we’re not cooperative idk I don’t think I’ll be recommending this place to anyone just based on service. Took 20 minutes for drinks, one lady was extremely rude, and it’s extremely crammed and almost closed off.

Went last night and was in the mood for a margarita. Not had one in a very long time and never will there again. Bartender said the large were on sale. My wife and I ordered a large with Patron Tequila. With liquor tax it was $25.12 EACH. Either we were over charged intentionally or their prices have gone up that much. I lived in the Nashville area and have never been charged that much for a drink. So why did I not contest it? Not in the right frame of mind to contest it. As I said, if that’s the price never again if not and I was taken advantage of they must need it more than me. Buyer beware.

Food was ok, a bit bland, not the best in town like I was hearing, people were super nice nice, inside was really nice, seating was terrible though, a big party came in to be seated in our section, when we were ready to leave we couldn't even get out, ridiculous, also, when we got our bill, the charges on our bill were higher then menu prices, so pay attention to your bill.

I had the shrimp fajitas for lunch and I could only eat half of it...

I did order the house salsa.. .
It was a roasted chili pepper flavor that was very original and not like anything else I have tasted so if you like smokey chili peppers grilled made into salsa this is totally unique flavor that many persons may be seeking.

All right if you're traveling to the antique malls are going out that way and you have a taste for Mexican for lunch or anything this place has really really really large value for your dollar. $$

We came in there with two little babies and three adults and I ordered the shrimp fajitas that have like 12 shrimp which were not small over an exceedingly hot iron skillet with vegetables with a side of tortillas and another platter of shredded lettuce refried beans rice guacamole sour cream I could not eat it and the platter cost $16. For lunch .

What that that's like crazy there's salsa is not very exciting their house salsa is definitely different it's like fire roasted chilies and you might want to cut it with some salsa your your used to if you are not into fire roasted chilies but this place I will definitely come back to you cuz it's awesome.

The mango margarita was very bitter. I ordered frozen...very little frozen in it. The mexican spaghetti was very dry. Not creamy. I had mixed steak and chicken....both were tough. We asked from the beginning separate checks ..they all came on one. Had to separate at register. Thus, he got a lower tip than usual.

The food at Margaronas is always on point! Servers are prompt and friendly. Even if there is a wait for seating, it's usually minimal and definitely worth it!

I had Fajitas Mexicana, my husband had fiesta nachos, kids always get chicken and rice no veggies. Food is wonderful. Seasoned very well. Chips not so great, they are kinda thin and stale. Salsa is mediocre.

Service was really good. The guy who took my order repeated it back to me and was very polite saying yes ma'am and thank you etc... The girl at the register when I got there was very friendly also thanking me and wishing me a good evening.

What I don't like.... And my advice to you!! Use cash when you eat here. They charge you a processing fee on all credit card orders. I noticed it varies depending on price of order I suppose?
Also my friend went the next day with her mom and they each ordered a margarita. They noticed after they left they had been charged the credit card tax and an alcohol tax!! I believe they are not allowed to tax the alcohol separate that is supposed to be added in with your regular tax. So if you do decide to dine here.... Remember to use cash and don't order any drinks!

One of the previous reviews said good food served quickly. Man, That is an understatement. My wife and I were seated in a booth. Before we got scooted in chips and salsa had been placed in front of us. This is not abnormal. I watched another couple get seated and before they got sat down good, they had chips and salsa. Our waiter appeared and took our order and I know it had to have been longer, but it seemed like about a minute and a half later our food arrived. The food was absolutely delicious. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

The food was insanely dry. My daughter and I both ate less than 25% of our plate.

They charge you extra if not paying with cash and that doesn't include the tip. The prices charged on bill and the menu were different prices. I will not be returning.

Gets 1 Star overall because of the way they handle the extra percentage they charge for using a card. They aren't upfront about the fact they are doing it. The little sign showing the percentage they are charging was under stuff on the counter and not very clearly visible. Also, instead of just adding a line at the bottom the ticket indicating the amount of the 4% charge, they add 4% to every item on the ticket. Mathematically, it works out the same either way but it would be clearer to the customers if it was just a single line item. Cashier and manager also seemed annoyed that I even questioned them about it. The food and drinks are good but at this point,not sure we will go back.

The food was good, the service was O. K. and the margarita was 1000% forgettable and didn't have an 1 Oz of tequila in the whole drink so never order a margarita - EVER.... overall a dissapointing experience.

Always satisfies. Good food served quickly is their specialty. They have menus but you can just order anything or request whatever changes you want. Always accommodated. It can be a bit loud at the busiest times.

This is easily my favorite spot in Cullman to grab some Fajitas or a Quesadilla. Service has always been good and food comes out quickly. I can't think of a single negative thing we've experienced, it's always great. Pricing is also on par with what you would expect to pay and I've never felt I didnt "get my moneys worth" out of the food. They have some kids options like chicken fingers and cheeseburgers as well. They also have a great drink menu.
