The weather is hot during the summer vacation during the Olympics. Many people come here with their children. The price here is affordable, the service is super good, and the food is delicious. Maybe I asked for it when ordering, so the food was really spicy. decoration style in the store is very sunny, and the food is served quickly. I highly recommend this place, across the bridge from Mobile By far the best Mexican food in Daphne

Atmosphere and service were better than the food. The cheese in the cheese enchiladas was not melted and not cheese-like. Not sure what type of white cheese they use. The chips were good and they have a nice salsa. Would not go back.

We called ahead to advise the staff a large group (~30 people- teens/adults) was coming about 8p after a day at the ball fields. The manager panicked but said if you can be patient we will get you all seated. We showed up 10 minutes later and he had the entire section ready for us with 3 dedicated servers. The restaurant was clean, the staff were great (quick, attentive, and working with a smile/laughing with us) and food was delicious! It was wonderful! We will definitely be back when in the area!

We have really enjoyed everything on the menu but have found our favorite go to meals. The Chile Rellenos are phenomenal as well as the Pastor! Everything on the Menu is fantastic. Service is impeccable! Absolutely love this place.

Food was really good but the pitcher of frozen mango margarita we got had no alcohol in it. Only because I'm a wimp drinking and after 1 glass from the pitcher I usually have a buzz and my boyfriend finishes the rest and then he feels pretty good! Nothing for either of us! Lol

I found El Rancho to be a clean safe restaurant. I did not care for the pablano chili used for my chili reano. The peppers shell was super hard and tough to cut. The guacamole was good. The Black beans were watery. The server was nice and polite. He brought everything ordered timely and hot.

This was THE BEST Mexican food I've ever had outside of Mexico! The restaurant is large, the service friendly and the interior (including bathrooms) spotlessly clean. It's an hour drive for us...but we'll be back!

It is one of the top 5 Mexican restaurants in Baldwin County. They food is consistent, and the wait staff is friendly. They can accommodate large groups. They are even willing to make something that's not on the menu as long as they carry the ingredients.

Quick service from the moment we walked in. Everyone was happy with what was ordered. I enjoyed the texas Fajitas, the seasoning was very unique, and flavorful, almost reminded me of a BBQ flavor. Would definitely return here.

Pretty good, restaurant has classic Mexican restaurant smell so when you go there expect to leave a little stinky. Ordered the shrimp tacos that were quite good. The fish they put in the tacos is tilapia so I'm not a fan of tilapia, and I don't understand why you'd served tilapia when you're that close to redfish, mahi mahi, snapper, etc except for the cost. But tacos all in all were great service was good and I would definitely go there again, I just wouldn't shower prior to going there because you will leave smelling like a Mexican restaurant, which by the way is fine and expected just be aware.

Food was bland. The salsa was okay. However I ordered the carne asada and it literally had ZERO seasoning and don't veen try to get the corn tortillas. 🤮 service was mediocre at best. My waiter was friendly, buy not "good" I waited 17 mins for my check after I asked for it. And there were 3 other people in my section, with only 1 being his other table. So, I'm not sure why it took so long.

First things first the service was horrible only 3 other tables were there when we arrived and didn’t get our drink for about 30 minutes. We ordered our food and it took another 45 minutes to get it out to us. The food was not bad tasting when we received it but I’ve ate here about 3 times and all three times me and my fiance both got food poisoning the first couple times we didn’t think it was the food from that restaurant but after last night I’m certain that their food is causing us to get food poison. 10/10 do not recommend eating here ever.

I didn’t care for their frozen margaritas. The large was humongous but not very flavorful when compared to other Mexican restaurants. Cell phone service is horrible but they didn’t mind sharing the WiFi code.

First time back to El Rancho is a couple years, I'm sad to say, BUT it's still the same AWESOME Mexican Restaurant!! The staff are always so friendly, it brightens my day everytime. First time eating lunch here, Lunch Texanas Fajitas are ON POINT by the way, and I was extremely pleased with the experience! Filled me up without "weighing" me down during the work day.

Management needs to pay closer attention to its servers. Our server returned to our table once after ordering only to bring the bill. Instead of taking care of his customers he was on the phone outside. Never did he return to see if we needed anything.....like DRINK REFILLS! I even heard the people behind us slurping the bottom of their drinks because he never returned to them either.

called to place a pickup order & the lady was immediately rude on the phone for no reason. had never been before so wasn’t sure where pickup was and went to the front and said nicely that I had a pickup, the lady rudely told me “well go to the bar then” so I went to the bar, waited on a bartender and then when I nicely told the bartender I had a pickup order they said “well you’re gonna have to come around here then.” then someone ELSE at the bar asked what I was doing, I again said I had a pickup order and they barked “well what’s the name?!” I told her and she rolled her eyes and walked back to the kitchen, came back & charged me $22 for chicken tenders with rice & beans. which was not the price on the menu. first & last time here.

This place is amazing!!! It's definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant!!! You can't go wrong with anything you choose on this menu. The shrimp queso dip is sooooo gooodddd!!!!! The Chimichangas are to die for!!! And so are the Alambre's. And the authentic tacos are amazing! Their drinks are so good as well!!! They have special drinks sometimes during the seasons, and they are ALWAYS so good. Like I said, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Amazing food, amazing quality, and amazing service. 10/10 definitely recommend.

The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. We went after my grandson's black belt promotion and had the best time. My daughter and son and I had a watermelon margarita, and it was perfect. The cheese stuffed chile relleno was the best I've ever eaten. Everybody got something different and really enjoyed their food and themselves. The ONLY recommendation is that while I could get a cheese, a chicken, and a beef enchilada on the same plate, my son was not allowed to mix and match his three street tacos. They all had to be the same meat. Go figure??? Anyway, that did not detract from our fun and enjoyment. I highly recommend going there if you're in the mood for a relaxing and enjoyable time. It was packed, but there was no waiting for a table.

We go 3 to 4 time's a month. Everything and everyone is always spot on. If there is something that didn't turn out correctly or if you don't like it. They fix it asap.
Also, they have the BEST Watermelon Margarita in town

The food is usually consistent and the service is usually okay-ish with the usual language barrier challenges.

The recent remodel looks nice but the table height versus booth seating height make for awkward and uncomfortable seating. A measuring tape, hacksaw, cutoff wheel and some new fasteners would solve this new problem.

They definitely stole from me!! I left a $10 CASH TIP and 8.07 as tip on my card for a grand total of $18.07 as a tip that 18% for my ticket and my card was overcharged when my waitress didn’t even come refill our drinks once. I’ll never be back!!!

We are from Texas. We know good mexicanish food. This is good food.
The cheese with beef is awesome. This is different than I've ever had before and I love it. I was expecting queso with a tiny bit of beef. Instead it was beef with some queso. Lately we have been getting tamales that are mostly masa when we eat out. This one had a thin layer of masa and was stuffed with beef. By far a better tamale than other places we have eaten. All around this is a great place with quality food and service. We will be back to eat here again and recommend to friends.

This is decent local Alabama Mexican food. If you're originally from out of state you will have to learn that this is not Tex-Mex, California style Southwest Mex, but I found this style of Mexican food to be pretty much standard fare anywhere outside of Texas and California.

The authentic tacos were good. I got the carnitas version and my friend got the grilled shrimp. It was literally the protein, diced onion w/cilantro in either corn or flour tortillas. Nothing fancy but very flavorful.

At this restaurant which is unlike the others similar to it, the chips were on the thinner and crispier side than most which was a nice change.

To me this restaurant is superior to it's sister restaurant Don Carlos in quality of food. It is also more consistently good than Don Carlos.

It's not my first choice of places for the area but I enjoy nearly every time I eat here.

Our party of 3 was eating our dinner when a large party arrived and 3 tables were pushed together just a few feet from our booth to accommodate a number of adults, small children and an infant. As we tried to enjoy our dinner, the children in this party entertained themselves by running along the side of our table as we ate and the mother of the infant walked the infant around their table with a cloth on her arm, leaning over me as I ate, waiting for the infant to spit up. I could only hope it didn't spit up on me or my plate. The adults in the group made no effort to corral their children as they continued to get in the way of hard working servers who were trying to safely get it to the customers' tables with children underfoot, making for a dangerous situation. We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant for years. Our children are now grown but when they were small, they were not a disruption to other customers as we took the time to teach them manners and how to properly behave in public places so as not to disrupt other paying customers who were trying to enjoy their meal. We addressed the issue with the manager, but his response was that there was nothing he could or would do about the situation because many people today are rude and have no manners or respect for others. This is not the first time we have been unable to enjoy our meal at this restaurant, but it will be our last visit. Definitely a great place for families with unruly children where they have space to run and plenty of opportunities to keep other paying customers from simply enjoying their meal.
