Tortilleria E&H

I love Tortilleria E&H! I’ve been here a few times and have tried a few different foods, including chorizo tacos, tinga tacos, chilaquiles, and birria. Plus, I’ve gotten my fair share of tortillas for take home plus have shopped in their store next door. Everything I’ve had has been absolutely wonderful!

I highly recommend this place to anyone I speak to about Mexican food in the area. Knowing any Spanish definitely helps if you’re going to eat here, but not at all a necessity!

Hands down the best Mexican food in the county if not the state. It is affordable and beyond delicious. The service is phenomenal and the staff members are so kind. We only wish we knew about Tortilleria E&H sooner!

We drive by this place every day coming to and from work. We decided to finally check it out after finding out that it was actually a restaurants. We ordered the Birria and Carnitas (only thing they serve on weekends), had tons leftover. Super fresh, super delicious! Will definitely be coming back!

This place is straight up legit. I am originally from SoCal and this food is spot on. Fresh tortillas are awesome and the food was not only authentic but fantastic. I tried a lot of Mexican restaurants in Baldwin County in search of good Mexican food and I finally found it. I can't figure out how some of the reviews say the food was great but only gave 1-3 stars. I get you might think it's a bit expensive but you are getting REAL quality food not Taco Bell. Some people don't appear to understand how rating systems work. For the one knucklehead making the race complaint. Two white guys walk into Tortilleria E&H for lunch and guess what happens? Excellent service and great food. If you don't get it Jim we were two white guys having the lunch. This place is all about putting out good food! If you can appreciate good Mexican food you are going to love this place.

Authentic Mexican food. Carnitas are a Michoacan, Mexico delicacy. They are very difficult to make and hard to find in the U.S. These taste very similar to the famous carnitas from Quiroga, Michoacan, the carnitas capital.

Food and service are amazing, just make sure to get there 11-2pm to not miss out on their delicious lunch. Their carne Asada falls apart on every bite and the pastor is just the right amount of flavor without being overbearing. 5/5 authentic Mexican food with tasty chips and salsa. And not to mention amazing flour and corn tortillas. Would recommend to any taco aficionado and the ladies were super nice and welcoming.

Food was decent, but a fair amount of grizzle in the Asada and Guiso dishes. Way too expensive for what you get. Literally $13 for a couple of tacos. We just moved from South Texas so used to getting authentic tacos à la la cart for 2/3$ at most. If you have 10 minutes to spare, I’d go to Robertsdale and try out Casa Mexico. They do it right. Their sauces are delicious and FREE, and the staff will actually explain the dishes and the pricing.
-E&H does have a good selection of dried chiles for homemade tamales.

This place has the best tasting Mexican food in the whole county. I tried the chicken and the pork quesadillas and they were fantastic. My only complaint is this place doesn’t really look like a restaurant so it’s easy to miss. It’s a hidden gem in my opinion.

Only buy tortilla chips from them now, nice and thick; perfect for making nachos. On weekends they have carnitas. Will try that soon. Did have lunch and tacos were pretty good. They now serve lunch

Hands down the best tortillas in Baldwin county. I can for the tortillas and left with Jarritos and 3-4 different paletas.

By far one of the most if not the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the Mobile/ Baldwin county areas, chips and salsa are homemade, as well as the rest of the food, you can tell the cooks care about what they do!

Ok, so for those complaining this is a Tortilla shop, delicious freshly authentic Mexican tortillas. So yes they maybe limited on their menu, because they are not a full service restaurant. But that doesn’t affect their delicious food options. Yes, you may pay a little more. I would for fresh authentic tortillas, to me it’s worth the price. I don’t shop for those old, nasty Walmart brand tortillas. I know the difference! Seriously, y’all should try this place it’s really good! Very authentic, snd delicious!

Very small menu if you're stopping for breakfast or lunch but the items served are pretty tasty. It seems like a very traditional place and the regulars will know what to get right away. We had to ask what they were serving because the menu is not readily displayed and when we found their FB page, the daily specials weren't updated.

The lady that helped us was super sweet and walked us through how they take orders. She listed their menu items and gave us the stub to the order ticket. We grabbed our drinks from the cooler and seated ourselves. The kitchen brought the tacos to our table with 2 sauce condiment options and a pickled veggie option. When done, we took our ticket stub to the counter and they rung us up. We asked if we were supposed to clear our table because we weren't certain and they told us no, they handled it.

It was delicious and while it was a little on the expensive side for what we were expecting when walking in, the portion of meat was more than fair for what was charged. We went on a Sunday and they only had barbacoa and menudo. We ordered 4 tacos with the barbacoa and 2 drinks - the total came out to $24 and change so expect to pay roughly $12.50 per person for a meal. The tortillas were delicious and very rich - if you've never tried fresh tortillas, I do recommend you check this place out.
