The food, service, atmosphere and the hospitality were amazing. Very happy camper for my first visit, and it definitely won't be my last. My Father and add on sister brought me there. I wished y'all had one in Florence, with a good cook like Antonio's mom and Antonio being the owner. He went out the way to make me feel special. Thx Antonio!!! I'll be back when I come back home to visit. I pray that God continues to bless you Antonio, your family and this business abundantly 🙏🏾🤎💙🙌🏿

We have eaten here for years, and I don't know what happened to this place. We ordered $80 from door dash and several items were missing. We called Camino Real and they said come in the next day and they would take care of us. They were rude when we came in, we were expecting to spend even more money on food and beer but they made it quite clear that we weren't welcomed. My wife is allergic to corn so we always get flour tortilla chips. Even last night! Today they tell us they don't do that. I'm done trying to spend my money on people who obviously should not be in the hospitality industry! You should not give these rude people your hard earned money. With so much competition, you would think they would not be stupid towards us. We're done.

Fun and authentic atmosphere. Very fast service especially during lunch time. I had the lunchtime fajita special. The serving size was just right and the cost was very reasonable. The menu has lots of yummy options and I will return to try something else. The salsa was fresh and I received my order very quickly.

The only problem I found was the need a light to show how to enter the parking lot. At night you cannot see how to enter. We kept passing it. Everything thing else was 100% perfection. Keep up doing your thing my friends

I ordered the tilapia fit meal with refried beans and rice. I would say it was ok. I had received a small piece of fish. Usually from other restaurants with the same type meal I would receive two or three pieces at least plus lime on the side to squeeze and enhance the flavor.

The flour tortilla were cold. The taste of the food is average. The fish smelled a little fishy. The host didn't welcome me. He just told me the food wasn't ready upon arrival.

It cost $15 with tax and online $2.99 fee. I expected a little better. I do appreciate getting the chips and salsa but there again, small amount of salsa that was finished before the chips was finished. The place looked beautiful. I loved the art. But the attitude I wouldn't say matches and reflects the happiness this place is colored with in terms of the beautiful art.

I didn't feel passion from this place. I felt more like a vibe of employees trying to keep their head down so the boss doesn't get upset at them.

I wasn't that happy with my meal so I will probably not repeat but I wish them well with this honest feedback and hopefully they improve.

The restaurant is a bit dated, but the food portions are way larger than you normally see in most Mexican restaurants. I got the shredded chicken tacos and they are twice the size of everywhere else we have been. The nachos were fantastic but you better be hungry because they are huge!

Service was outstanding and the beer looked like a 1/2 gallon so if big portions are you thing then this restaurant is for you!

We visited on Friday July 1st, it was great. My husband had the #57 Special dinner. It was a lot of food for $12.49. I had 2 chicken soft tacos. Great experience will definitely go back.

This was my go to restaurant on GrubHub until this last order. Only part of our order was delivered. The food we did receive was cold even though GrubHub was well within the delivery time range. I contacted the restaurant and was told if I wanted anything fixed I had to drive there even though they admitted they knew something was left out of order. I don't have access to a car right now so that wasn't much of a solution. Hardly going to get an Uber. GrubHub did give me a credit.
Normally the food is good with only a few hiccups. The restaurant didn't seem to care if I was happy or not.

This restaurant used to be very good. I hadn't been there in a while and decided to stop in for lunch. The service was marginal at best, the food was Just all right nothing memorable. Overall I was disappointed I had previously given this restaurant a five-star rating.

I ordered a chili relleno. The pepper I got was as small as a jalapeno. And this is an awful mess and I'm going to take pictures. They should be ashamed for serving this!

Server disappeared got my father in laws food wrong and he started choking because the chicken that he did not order in his taco salad wasn't so dry and tough. Won't be taking her BK anytime soon. He ordered ground beef and got chicken instead. Its like the servers don't listen or they can understand you

Extremely rude staff, especially at entrance. Food is mediocre. Cockroach on the wall was friendly but not real appetizing. Don't waste your time money here, and don't risk your health. There are other Mexican restaurants in Decatur.

We ordered online. One of our combination dinners was wrong. When we called, the person we spoke to, said we had called and changed it. We did not call them. When we said we didn't call, he said we could call menu star and take it up with them. He wasn't going to do anything about it. We only ordered online because we called for 10 minutes and no one picked up the phone.

They are located on Highway 31 and the Beltline. The staff is great the food is awesome the Entertainment Tonight is DJ jammin Jeff and his karaoke. Come on down on Wednesdays to hear DJ jammin Jeff. It doesn't get any better than this el camino real, If you want true mexican food come here.

The customer service is pathetic and horrible here. The men who answers the phone have no manners and they are extremely rude and disrespectful. The last several times I’ve done business with Camino Real the men at the counter/ front entrance have been extremely unkind and disrespectful. There’s better eating joints in Decatur than this one. At least the other food joints treat you kindly. I won’t be returning back! I hope that no one else continues to do business with Camino Real.

The food was great, but I submitted a order pickup, and when I arrived and called and said I was there, (following instructions), they told me to come inside and pick it up.
Ordinarily that would not be a bad thing, but me thinking that I would not have to get out of my car, I was in my house clothes. 😂😂😂

I ordered 3 meals ( 2 num.33 and num. 17)and cheese dip);that cost over $50 just to get home and it was cold tortilla shells were hard Also the burrito was only meat nothing else on it and cheese dip was so running that it tasted funny. Also I drove from Cullman to get this food and they had it sitting on a table where people were eating.

Just received the wrong order from doordash. Ordered chile rellenos and got a little bit of beef and a bunch of cheese with a teeny bit of rice and refriend beans. Yall can do better asking 10 dollars a plate. I didn't even bother eating all that cheese it's too much. And I ordered 2 plates of this! I basicaly ate a handful of rice and refried beans for 20 bucks + delivery fees from the app. I won't waste money here again. I'm also done with doordash. You'd think if you have to pay more You'd get better service.

worst experience ever at a mexican style restaurant. waitress never once came to ask how the meal was. gave the impression like she didn't want us there. service is usually unfriendly at this place & will never return here after giving them a try for the fourth time.

the food was not prepared as described on the menu. first fajita was lathered in oil and missing ingredients like mushrooms and tomatoes listed on the menu. after waiting over 15 minutes for the waitress, finally got her attention as she came to tend to the other table near-by a third time, and told her of the ill prepared meal. she took the fajita plate and later said from across the divide that they will make a new one. if she had an ounce of care, she should have courteously & professionally returned to the table to say how they decided to resolve it. i am pretty understanding of language barriers, but this just had to be a case of a lack of appreciation for someone spending money at their restaurant because of the lack of care & concern she showed towards us, but was friendly towards the other table and frequently asked them if they were okay periodically.

the second fajita plate was not lathered in as much oil, but it would have been better called an onion plate, as onions were the most abundant & overwhelming ingredient. this camino real used to have somewhat decent food but terrible service, but now with both bad food and bad service, i will NOT EVER ever GO THERE AGAIN!

even with the terrible food & service i couldn't walk away without leaving a tip; a tip the waitress did not deserve 😔

I love this place but the chicken taquitos have become more onion than chicken. Also, some of the wood trim is so rotted next to the tables that it is crumbling anytime it is touched. It is right in the booths so it is hard to avoid if your party fills the booth.

Won’t be returning. Or server was excellent but the food was so soggy everything fell apart by the time it got to us. Sign said kids eat free on the weekends but I ended up paying for 2 kids. I was so ready to go by the end of dinner I just paid and left.

The last two visits my daughter and I made to this restaurant were bad experiences. The food and service were both really bad. In addition to this, we were charged for a go box for leftovers, we were charged additional for a box for go order that was placed, and charged for sour cream that should automatically be included at no charge with food that was ordered. Tried to pay at register and had to wait for staff to stop playing games on their cell phone to check us out. Save your money and go to a restaurant that has good food and actually wants your business.

This has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Sometimes the service could be better but it's spot on most of the time and our food is ALWAYS hot and fresh and fast to the table after ordering. Today we celebrated National Beer Day! What could possibly be better than tacos and beer?? Yummalicious!!

I don't remember when I made my original post but I know it has been quite some time. I just wanted to update and say this place is STILL our favorite place to go! Nowhere else I'd rather unwind after a long day at work or to go to just to sit and enjoy my meal and a beer or margarita. We love the staff, the food, the atmosphere. This place is awesome!!

El peor servico , malisimo servicio , no le prestan atencion al cliente, lo atienden cuando se les da la gana , te sirven lo que ellos quieren , aunque le digas que es lo que quieres , y por andar en el relajo entre los mismos camareros hablando con groserias y malas palabras delante del publico descuidan al cliente, lo peor en restaurantes , la comida esta medio , es lo unico que se salva pero por parte del servicio daña toda la imagen, no les recomiendo comer aqui

Utterly disappointed in how this once great restaurant has changed for the worse. Perhaps it was a change in management, seeing as so much of the decor and aesthetic has changed, but the service has absolutely fallen apart.

The food is still good, don't get me wrong. But I can't order from here any longer. No other restaurants in the area will mess up or LOSE your order, and make you feel as though you're an inconvenience and an irritation. Nor do they HANG UP mid conversation.

I've been going here for years and I'm at the point where I no longer feel welcome either eating in or getting takeout. I understand that COVID has caused short staffing and stress, but there is zero effort to serve being shown. Ridiculous.

Mal servicio al cliente. Tardan mucho en traer la comida. La comida no tiene sabor. Pedimos 9 tacos de chorizo y el mesero trajo 7 de carne y los otros dos nunca llegaron. No retiran los platos cuando todos hemos terminado de comer. Tardamos 20 minutos esperando por el cubierto para poder comer, la comida se enfrió.
