Las Vias

It was our 1st time here. We were traveling through Decatur and stopped to eat here, before heading back home. Food was okay, but not the best Mexican food. The drinks had a good flavor, but didn't seem to have much alcohol in them. Frozen Margheritas aren't available here. My Husband, Son and Son-in-law all felt that they weren't given enough tortillas with their meal.( They are all Latino).
My vegetarian meal was.okay, but had way too many bell.peepper straps in the dish. Also, I had requested a half of an avocado and a slice of lemon, but did not receive either. I.did love their white dip though. It tasted as if it had jalapeño flavoring and it was great with the chips.

A coworker orders from this restaurant monthly. I’m from another area so I wasn’t familiar with their food but it was one of the best suggestions ever. She recommended the dish “Tres Amigos” and I stopped in one day before work to get it carry out. From order to take out was fast. Service was accommodating and friendly. When I opened it, it was more than enough for one person so I shared. It was a great lunch. Great price too! Plenty of parking. I’ll be back.

We chose to use Las Vias to cater a Staff luncheon. We needed to feed 40 employees . We basically asked for a Taco Bar and all the fixings! We asked for ground beef and grilled chicken as our meats . I must admit I was worried that there might not be enough food although Enrique had told me it basically amounts to 2 tacos 🌮- plus beans and rice per person . We were so VERY SATISFIED!!!! There was so much food - and it was great ! In addition to the meats , rice and beans - there was Fresh shredded cheese , lettuce , and salsa- guacamole and sour cream - choice of hard shell or soft - and plenty of cheese dip and chips ! Not stingy with there amounts of food . Do yourselves a favor - and let Las Vias cater your next work related function ! The price was fair AND they only had a 2 day notice and came thru for us ! ** And we had so much food that our staff made “to-go “ plates and went home happy on Friday ! Super super delicious food! Super clean facility! and very good service!
I highly recommend this restaurant for a night out with the family or a drink with the guys. (Adult beverages served at this location)

This location is taking proper precautions for covid. They have a touchless hand sanitizer at the entrance with signage posted for customers to be aware and use social distance inside the facility.

💗 Las Vias in Decatur, AL

Arrived to a clean, well staffed restaurant and was immediately seated.

Our server took our drink order and a basket of hot tortilla chips were placed before us. It came with your traditional salsa but we also received a sour cream, lime, jalapeño, spices and cilantro dip. It was just amazing.

While we waited for our entrees to arrive we dug into our bean dip and cheese dip. Fair warning, our bean dip came covered in cheese dip so you might not need the extra cheese dip. It was outstanding.

Our order entree was placed at 4:25pm and 7 short minutes later it was placed before us, sizzling.

I order the Pollo Mexicano. It consisted of grilled chicken covered with peppers & onions, rice and refried beans. Perfectly seasoned, hot, and delicious.

The husband ordered the Tres Amigos. It consisted of grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp with fried rice topped with cheese sauce. He loved every bite.

Our order total was $31.56 and worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

Ok. I came here, tonight and the food was great. They have a Jalapeño dip that is AMAZING. Ontop of the food being great the service was the best service I have ever gotten at any restaurant. Great food. I had a fajita grilled chicken salad bowl. They definitely need to work on their salsa. It is very plain and tastes like it's been poured straight out of a can.

Such a bad experience and do not recommend. Waiter was very very rude to me and my table. And had no reason for his behavior.

We recognized the waiter. He used to work at Guadalajara restaurant years ago. He's a great people person, and the food was awesome. We will be back. 8-10-24, it's pretty busy on Sunday, and the staff and food was awesome. I'd rate it a 10 out of 10.

There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in town but nobody compares to Las Vías. For starters their salsa and the jalapeño ranch dip are amazing. No other restaurant serves this. Their food always hits the spot and the staff are super welcoming. Keep up the good work!

We went here tonight and arrived about 45 minutes before close (8:45). We were hurrying because they closed soon and so were they apparently. My burrito was supposed to be steak but was more like some strange beef and tomato mush that was barely warm. When it arrived at the table after less than 5 minutes we were surprised and our server, who was incredibly nice, said "there's nobody here and we want to go home because we're almost closed". I completely understand that since I am a server myself but don't serve bad food and say that to the customer. This place has gone a bit downhill in the last year or so. I do not plan to visit this location any time in the near future, I'll give them time to iron out these new issues.

Love Sunday Brunch with Mexian Mimosas. Service is fast and the staff is friendly. Absolutely love that the patio is pet friendly! I eat here once if not twice a week.

I've been to many bad Mexican restaurants across the country; this is one of them. Cleanliness is an issue here. The menus are dirty. Food is of poor quality. The carne asada is not meat. The thing cannot be bit into and it's flavorless. Rice lacks flavor. The only thing that was good was my Pepsi. Oh, your servers are always arguing and making it a bad environment.

The atmosphere was awesome and gave me a happy feeling. The waiter was extremely nice and attentive. Now the food was amazing!! The servings of the food is very big and to me the margaritas were perfect. My kids said this is the restaurant they want to eat at from now on.

This place is great. The staff are always super friendly and the food is awesome. I recommend the Mercedes Special. I have tried many many dished and they're are all delicious. It's my favorite in Decatur for sure.

Always a good experience! Had the cheese dip, Palomas and quesabarrillas. Mmm! My daughter had the rice with cheese sauce, she's simple. Their new drink and food menu has changed the place in my opinion. Taking them from run if the mill Mexican restaurant to a more authentic vibe!

Their new food and drinks menu is top notch! I've had the quesabarria and Juarez quesadilla. My fave is the quesabarria but you gotta get them early as they re everyone's favorite and they go fast! I've only gotten to try the pamelo from the new drink menu and wow! Super fresh tasting and the price is on point! Be careful they are delicious!

The food was really good especially the jalapeno dip but this wasn't the absolute best Mexican restaurant I've been to. It's definitely better than a chain restaurant such as Taco Bell but there are few better Mexican restaurant options in the Decatur area I would put this restaurant in the top three. The service was really good as our drinks were refilled when they started running low. The server did check on us a few times to make sure everything was okay, which it was. The only problem I really had with the atmosphere is that the tables were really close together. For the sacrifice of two maybe three tables total in the entire restaurant, you would be able to sit comfortably without the back of your chair touching the back of somebody else's. Overall I would rate them eight out of ten.

Our server was great but the "double" fajita we shared was more fit for 1 person so it kinda lost a few points in that area because I've been to better local restaurants where the fajita was a mountain when ordered for 2 and it tasted better. Maybe this was a rough night. Our server was great though and the watermelon margarita was well balanced.

Their white salsa is amazing, and the other salsa was good too. The dishes were great, and were high quality and well presented. We had attentive service, even on the patio. There's plenty of seating outside, and even more inside. Would certainly go again.

Me and some buds from work went here to grab some dinner and couple of beers , the beer came out hot and in dirty glasses , we then asked for new glasses and beer and got more hot beer and just as dirty glasses , the food took forever to come out and was cold tasted bland , not a good experience
