Decent food and great prices!The menu also has a large variety of items.I enjoyed the carnitas dinner and steak fajitas another night. Margaritas are okay but on the rocks is alot sweeter than most and has a subtle premixed flavor. The restaurant is older than most but has remained consistent over the years. It's usually a staple if I'm in the area for work. Service is prompt as well.

Food was "okay". No Mexican flavor or any spice, very "one note" or bland. Service was wonderful. Our server was prompt, attentive, and not like most Mexican restaurants who rush you to eat and get out! The restaurant atmosphere was okay and clean however the restroom was horrible! Sad ..it could be much better

Friendly staff. As soon as you arrive and shown to your table the chips and salsa are brought out. The chips are warm and tasty! The food is WONDERFUL.....served very quickly, fresh and hot! The plate is even hot! Will look forward to more dining at this restaurant!

Ordered food to go... My beans were COLD like they just came out of the refrigerator. They also put a heaping help of sour cream on top of my beans and I couldn't even eat the beans because of all the sour cream on it. The quesadilla was good even though it was a bit soggy. The prices on the menu were decent but somehow my check came out to $30 for two plates, I think they charged me for limes ... And also that bathroom OMG it looks like it crawled out of the '60s, everything is broken on the building the toilets are super old things are cracked and falling apart. The building itself is just pretty crappy. It's not even worth fixing they should just knock it down.

We’ve been coming here for a long time. The food is always very good and hot. This particular time the waiter brought me a water with a bug in it, and a dirty chip basket. I showed the owner(a lady, I guess she is the owner) she brushed it off and said the gnat could of came in with me. Then she went on to say as far as the basket I probably wasted my salsa on it, which both of them were lies. She didn’t say I apologize or nothing

So the waiter could not understand English and so when I ordered I had to point at the menu. When the food arrived after a long wait ( they were not busy) the food was wrong took a while to get the waiter back to the table I advised it was wrong after asking for a menu and pointing out the correct dish. The waiter argued with me stating that that's not what I ordered. My husband at this time has fixed him a taco off the wrong order he likes shrimp me not so well. The waiter pointed and my husband plate and to the wrong dish as to tell him he needed the wrong food back. After ordering again the food still came out without cheese on it so I requested shredded cheese on side. The food was ok but not great and the service was not good I will not be going back. 😢

If you’re looking for good Mexican food in Decatur, this is the place to get it! Consistently good food with a large menu to choose from. They have plenty of seating inside with fast and friendly service. Definitely will be back!

Last night, we ventured into Mi Hacienda Mexican restaurant, and boy, was it a wild ride. First off, stepping inside felt like we’d been teleported to the heart of the Mexican motherland during a heatwave—I’m pretty sure the salsa wasn’t the only thing that was hot!

Then came the cheese dip, which was apparently auditioning to be the next big thing in the dairy aisle. I swear, it had the consistency of milk and seemed ready to join my cereal. Next time please hold the chips and just bring me a straw.

Don’t worry they do have restrooms and let me tell you they reminded me of using a portable potty on an oil rig location in South Texas in July. It was so humid I. There, you could almost taste the air.

And let’s talk about the chimichangas. I’m convinced the chef was given the assignment with a heavy accent and thought they were making egg rolls instead, but I could be wong. These things looked like they had traveled from the wrong continent! Maybe they were on a culinary exchange program?

The restaurant was super hot like they didn't have the AC on. The waitress was super impatient and kept asking us when we wanted our ticket, like every time she came to our table before we were even done eating or anything. The bathrooms were also disgusting!
The food and beverages were very good, that's why I rated this place 2 stars overall, the food saved them from a 1 star rating
If you want to eat here, I'd definitely recommend to-go because the food is pretty good overall but the service, however, is not so much...

Order my food on December 2, 2023 came in and did my pick up order. My order was totally wrong. The young man at the cash register was very rude. Very disrespectful even told me how I ordered. My food was not even their website got a manager, still I would not suggest anybody to order from their website because they’re claiming it is not there very bad service very disrespectful, and he got to the point where they act like they didn’t even understand English

I have been a Server for many many yrs, and when you come to work with a bad attitude your customers can sense that vibe. Leave your issues at home. Can't make any MONEY with a foul attitude.

I went to Mi Hacienda today for lunch and got the Chili Rellano and Taco combo. The Chili Rellano did not resemble any I have had before and I have had plenty. I lived in Texas for 13 years and expected to see a poblano or Anaheim Chile stuffed with cheese. What I got was a plate of refried beans with a piece of pepper laying in it with a little cheese on top. I don’t know if this is just their version or not but I won’t order it again.

This was our first time in, on a recommendation from another business, and we were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and we were seated quickly. Our food service was quick and the food itself was delicious. I got the Enchiladas Verde lunch special and my husband got the taco salad.

Our only detractor was that it was a little hot to be truly comfortable.

It's been a long time since I've been here. The waiter was great. He took his time to understand our large order. He was also very nice. The food came out less than 15min from when we ordered, perfecto! It was good. Chips were hot and fresh, DIDNT taste like old oil. Salsa was just right. Only really had two gripes and not really a huge deal. The beans had a weird flavor, not horrible but off for sure. I ordered a chees enchillada for my vegitarian daughter and they brought beef 🤷🏻. All and all well be back for sure. Thanks for the food!

Overall, I would come back and eat again. Food was excellent and price was reasonable. The server seems to have either too many tables or having a bad day....needed to ask for refills, napkins, and the bill a few extra times.

Usually my favorite Mexican place in town. Tonight I placed a to-go order and sent my girlfriend to pick it up. When she got out to her car the bottom fell out of the bag that our food was in. This busted the container with my chicken tortilla soup and spilled all over the place. She went right back in and showed them what happened but the lady there said that there wasn't anything they could do because it was already taken out of the restaurant, which is ridiculous because she hadn't even gotten into her car yet and it was the restaurant's bag that broke. I probably won't come back here for a while at least, and I will be starting a chargeback with my bank tomorrow.

Food was good but the lady in charge of service was abrasive and unwelcoming and charged us for food we didn't get and gave us food we didn't order and charged us for it don't order anything different from how it is listed on the menu which is nearly 100 items with a section on lunch specials which they didn't honor the price of at 11:30am on a Sunday we asked for hot sauce and didn't get it till 20 min later and our cheese sauce was so runny we assumed they watered it down.... Would rate a 0/5 but the waitress was nice enough and the food was overall good even if it took a while but it was a very poor first impression and we will likely not be returning

Love their food, cheese sauce, chicken. Great prices. They don't understand any English. Had to return food was not prepared right. Then gave them a chance to fix it. More red & green sauce on food..then my meal was change. So just got some money back. Need to make changes. Was here last night dined in still messed up food. Dodn't get my tip back.

I had a taco salad. The chicken had the texture of canned tuna and it was very bland. The shell bowl tasted like old oil. The chips had the same taste and I really didn't care for the salsa. The hubs had nachos and said they were good.

My first time, very clean. Service was great. Food was great. I'm from the west and this is the only restaurant who can make taquitos, I just found out. I will definitely be back. I asked for a side of guacamole...it wasn't what I expected but it was ok. Beer was good as well
