El Rincon Mexican Restaurant

Heard good things about it but was extremely disappointed. I NEVER write bad reviews but the food was so bad they should be ashamed to call themselves a Mexican restaurant. Our waiter was nice and that’s the only good thing I have to say. I had the Del Mar burrito and it was pitiful. Small and fell apart with bland Tilapia. No flavor whatsoever. The “street tacos” were more like cilantro tacos. Absolutely pathetic. Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in years. The atmosphere is dead and boring.

I've been to many mexican restaurants and this one is absolutely miles ahead of all of those! The service was top notch from start to finish! The speed at which the food came out was not at all slow, as I was shocked when it came out. And as for the food, absolutely delicious and kinda made me eat like I've never eaten good food before. HUGE shout out to my waiter Juan who delivered such amazing service!!

I was traveling through Doth, AL the other day and had not eaten all day. In was starving so I stopped in for a quick dinner. El Rincon did not disappoint. I ordered the spicy burrito and it was awesome. The chips were fresh (not stale), and the service and atmosphere were great. Definitely recommend to those looking for excellent Mexican cuisine.

Okay so the pics were taken after we had already dug in, but the food was FANTASTIC!! The prices were fair, the staff were super friendly. The restaurant was clean and there’s lots of parking. You should definitely try the shrimp tacos and the cheese dip. Sweet tea was really good. For dessert we had the churros and they were fresh and delicious. 10/10 will definitely eat here again!

As soon as you walk in you see how spacious everything is. A lot of area between tables and booths so even the most rambunctious neighbour isn't an issue. Super clean, and they even open the door for you when you walk in.

Super courteous staff, and very prompt with everything.

The food is delicious. I had the tacos carne asada. The salsa that's served with it is out of this world delicious.ay be too spicy for some. The corn tortillas were as light as a cloud, and super flavourful.

I really enjoyed dining at El Rincon!! I got street tacos and they were delicious. I was super impressed with their chips & salsa as well. The salsa was fresh and addictive, I could've eaten it with a spoon!

We go to El Rinco all the time. The food is always fresh and hot, never greasy like alot of other Mexican restaurants. We have never gotten a bad meal and we've been going ever since they opened. If you haven't tried El Rinco, you are missing out on excellent food, service, and atmosphere.

Food tasted like it was cooked a week ago. Carnitas $15, Chimichanga $15. One steak and chicken quesadilla cost $21 by itself!!! Atmosphere is the only plus here. Service was okay. If you want good food… this is not it. Gross.

Wow!! What a great place! Great decor, staff, food, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. This business deserves to go places. You must go if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed. I had the beef burrito. So good!! The potato soup was good too. A must try!!

Our food and service was excellent, I didn’t get our waiter’s name but he was very efficient and friendly. Receipt said cashier (Nehemias) don’t know if that would be our waiter. No complaints at all.

I love the vibe, because they have the real mexican ambience with soft music in the background. Let's talk about the food. I would rate it 8 out of 10. The taste was good and if you love spicy food, you should Definitely try Sunnyside spicy salsa and add cheese dip with it.

This is Us… as in You Had Me At Hola! The moment we stepped inside for the first time, it was a visual and sensory yes! Yes! Clean — Si! Welcoming — Si! And, some delightful smells from the meals passing by! Our server recommended the Fajita salad with chicken to me and it has quickly become my favorite. I can only say that it’s a feast for the eyes and the stomach. As delicious as the picture looks! I can also vouch for the small house margarita as well as very tasty chips and salsa. My hubby loves the chicken fajitas well done (we both love our veggies grilled dark,) and their beef enchiladas. The accompanying rice and beans are much better than other restaurants we’ve frequented. We tend to arrive earlier than most patrons, so it’s usually not too busy and maybe why we get such great service, but I doubt it! Great food, a clean restaurant and great servers will always be appreciated—muchas gracias El Rincon and staff!!!

This is a great place to eat. Very family oriented restaurant as well as I'm allergic to latex and mushrooms and the manager remembered after 3 weeks which surprised me! 😮 that take dedication to there customers 👏 🙌. If your looking for a friendly oriented atmosphere this is the place! The food is amazing as well!

The place very clean. I’ve had take out and dine in both times I ordered the veggie quesadilla which was perfect . The cheese the vegetables everything it wasn’t guey 🤷🏽‍♀️ just perfect . My sister is a vegetarian and she also enjoys their quesadilla. They do not offer drink specials if they did would go there more often . The service was friendly .

Very disappointed. Our drinks were all ice. My moms taco meat was burnt, my quesadilla was so cheesy, it coated my mouth and not very much chicken. I love cheese by the way. Our waiter started out being very defensive when we asked about a frozen drink. They hadn't gotten their machine yet but offered a frozen drink on the menu. He chilled out upon returning. Maybe we will return in a much later date when they get more organized. I understand opening a new restaurant has its kinks.
Update~ we have returned after their opening several times. The food, service & drinks are fantastic! I consider the food to be upscale Mexican compared to others.

We are in Dothan stranded with a broken down motor home, so we have been to the restaurant twice one time for lunch and dinner one evening. The servers were wonderful and the food is really great. I do think before we leave I may have to do this place again.

They served me and my family sewer water. And that’s not even an exaggeration it was literally sewer water. I noticed my tea tasted weird so I order just a water instead and that’s when I noticed what it was. The chips were stale and the salsa was basically just tomato juice. Place was empty and falling apart. A celling tile fell right next to our table and water started pouring from the roof. Our group of 17 decided to leave after tasting the water. DO NOT EAT HERE. THIS PLACE IS A HEALTH HAZARD.

I paid with my card and left the tip on the table. I noted so on the slip that I signed. When the payment had cleared, they added $8 to my bill. That's the same as stealing. If I wanted to tip $16 on one plate of food I would have. The food wasn't bad, but if you go here pay with cash only!

The daily lunch special also includes a drink. That was what I had and was a bargain. The presentation of the food items was impressive, as they do things that I have not seen done before at a Mexican restaurant. I will definitely eat there again when I am on that side of town.

Stopped here early on Tuesday evening. They weren’t too busy luckily. Had the mango salmon. Not sure it was worth the hype as recommended from server. Fairly small piece and seemed as if it just had a jarred sauce poured in it. Was expecting a fresh salsa/sauce from what the waiter described. Veggies with the salmon were good. Chips and salsa were yummy - thin chips and tasty salsa - although I wish they’d used a larger size of salsa bowl or give one for each person. Took us a bit to track waiter down for some more salsa. The table side guacamole was awesome. Partner had the choripollo entree. Have tried it many places and it’s a favorite but it was a bit lackluster here sadly. Very little pineapple-hard to find it in the dish - tons of onions - which we usually like but almost too much without any pineapple to balance it - and the chorizo was super greasy more than typical. Didn’t enjoy it. Prior meal we had here of combo meals was decent. This time didn’t hit the mark unfortunately. Probably won’t be back for the cost didn’t feel the value was there.
