Rodeo Mexican Restaurant on 84

My mother end up getting sick while eating her chicken and steak fajita while still at the restaurant. We ask the manager for a refund but she refuse even though she didn’t eat the whole meal claiming she ate half so she gave half the refund. That’s just pathetic!

Very good, consistently with food and service. Chilled salsa and fresh chips brought to the table right as you sit down. Friendly staff that are prompt and courteous. The food is simply delicious. Plenty of menu options to satisfy whatever you might be craving.

I was in town for a work trip on 07/23/2024 and needed to grab a bite before heading back home. I am so glad I was with co-workers from Dothan because they suggested Rodeo.
My first thought was "really, a mexican restaurant is where they want to go?....it's prob going to be just like every other mexican restaurant. Wow, was I wrong!! I am so glad they suggested it because they have absolutely the best enchiladas verde I have ever tasted!! You can tell the enchiladas were made from scratch and the verde sauce was homemade with the freshest tomatillos. Perfection!!

Disgusting! I'd give it a zero, which is just how much flavor is in their food. Bland. No seasoning whatsoever in the tacos, nor their salsa. Avoid it.

Came on a Sunday so there was a wait. Could tell by the customers the place was good, everybody looked like they just came from church. Waited maybe 15 mins and got a cute little booth. The manager was very nice, the service was great. We got the fajitas and they were delicious. Loved the vibe of the place and the atmosphere. Only thing is, I wish they put the prices of the beer on the menu. Got kinda surprised by that on the bill. But all in all this place is a great spot to get something good to eat!! Will definitely be back!!

I just got out of this restaurant, and this is the worst Rodeo in dothan. I have never experienced anything like this. I got 2 soft tacos and as I was eating the second one I pulled a hair out of my mouth. I have my hair in a ponytail. I told our waiter and I wasn't mean or mad in any way. I was just astonished because that was the first time that had ever happened to me. I was with some friends, and they watched me pull it out of my mouth. Our waiter hardly apologized, but he took my tacos off the bill and as we were paying at the front our waiter said in Spanish that it was my hair. One of my friends speaks Spanish and could understand what he said. I was not mad before but now I'm disgusted and angry. Like do they think I took a hair out of my ponytail, stuck it in my taco and took a bite just so I wouldn't have to pay 10 dollars? I never write reviews and I'm never rude to wait staff but this experience seriously upsets me. I hope someone who works there reads this and learns to not do that to people.

Staff was super friendly. I've ordered a few times from here, and if you get something from the lunch menu, it tends to be pretty basic, but items from the dinner and special sections are definitely on a better level. Mixed drinks have been good here, I definitely love the pomegranate margarita. The daiquiris are good but don't have the same kick as the margaritas.

I went with a large group. Service was a little slow, but we only had one waitress serving us. However, she was spot-on with everyone's orders, which she had patiently taken, including drink orders.
The food is exceptional. Rodeo is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.

The waitress had a very unpleasant attitude. I had the burrito supreme with rice, it was extremely greasy. When I cut into it, I could see the grease just run out. I ended up not finishing my food, and I got sick. My friend and I told TWO different waiters that the food was not very good. They saw we didn’t even eat the food, and not once did they ask if we wanted something different or get the manager. Do not recommend. We will not be back here. They did not even offer a discount, still charged us full price. I took 3 bites, and my friend ate half a taco.

No fue una gran experiencia, pedimos en la barra para llevar e hice algunas fotos de la entrada, parecía algo lúgubre y personalmente no me dio muy buen feeling. Pedimos burritos, y carne para llevar y no fue muy especial, yo comí carne pero no me entusiasmó. Yo no repetiría.

The worst mexican restaurant in dothan... the nacho meat was spoiled, the margaritas was awful and already melting when it arrived at the table.. the manager was told this before the food was touched and he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, HE NEVER OFFERED TO REPLACE OUR FOOD AT ALL. THEY LITERALLY BROUGHT THE CHECK TO THE TABLE... WE TRAVELED MANY PLACES THIS BY FAR THE WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN TO..DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT...BAD SERVICE AND SPOILED FOOD.

Very busy, we only waited 10 mins for a table. The serving size for a large Guacamole is rather small compared to others in town. I got the fajita bowl with chicken and it was not what I expected. I had it at other places and loved it but this was loaded with black olives, black beans, white rice, squash, zucchini and lettuce. I asked a server for some sour cream and she never brought it back. I don't think she knew English. So Everyone else finished their meals and our server finally came back by and that's when I got my sour cream. I don't care if I ever go back. The others are much better so I'll stick with them.

There are three Rodeo restaurants in Dothan and this is not a good one. The one on Montgomery hwy. is the best Mexican food in town the one on main (84) is worst I ever had. Food was burt and order was wrong.

You have only one customer waiting but yet your employees sitting in the waiting area. They never offer the customer a seat. Manager doing register. And as soon as a group of 5 come in, then they move. I don’t know the reason but this is not right. All customers deserve same care. I shouldn’t be standing trying to shuffle out of the way of entering and exiting customers.

So I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. Rodeo isn't bad, the prices are fair and the portions generous, but around here Rodeos are a dime a dozen. We have at least 4 in town (it's not that big of a place). The food is good for the price, the staff is friendly, and they do have drink specials, so that's a plus.

It's hard to find great Mexican food and this place was no exception. The hamburger did not taste like real hamburger meat. I got a Taco Salad. The shell was good. Was not impressed at all. Located in a strip mall.

Nachos were extremely dry and chicken was cold . Honestly, may have been having a off day for a Monday .
Second trip in and it had been some time .
Make server stopped twice during the meal 😂
Once to seat me - once again to bring me my check .
Circled around and even walked by me three times but never stopped to see if I needed anything.
Not to sure it is worth a return trip !
Monday was certainly a bad day food wise .
Taco Bell might have been a better stop today 😂

I was going to order on the phone for the west main location,but was left on hold for 9 minutes, then when I ordered my beef cheese nachos, there was only cheese on the nachos and no beef. The man, whoever he was, that was at the front was rude and it was like he didn’t care at all.
