Went there yesterday! Was visiting family and chose the place! Food is delicious and so are the drinks! Glad Dothan has a real Authenic mexican seafood place now!

Wonderful Mexican restaurant in a small strip mall near the barn in Dothan. This restaurant is very beautiful and well decorated on the inside. It is also very clean. I had great service and my food was brought to me promptly. I highly recommend this place if you want to have a unique dining experience in the area.

My customer service experience was OK.I felt rushed to make my order I settled on the Birria pizza I'll give it a 6 out of 10.It wasn't its flavorful , as I Like my birria The are excellent and it's a good atmosphere.

I can't wait to go back. My lunch was $6.50. Street tacos, rice, and beans. Very flavorful. The chips and dip came with a plate of salsa, cucumbers, tomatoes, and tuna. I think she said tuna. My waitress was very friendly and helpful.

I only came in with a friend to have a drink.

The interior is smaller, but very upscale for a Mexican eatery.

When the chips and salsa came out it was also served with a super delicious tuna ceviche.

If I weren't leaving Dothan I'd have to make this a regular stop. Super impressed

This was a nice spot, if you are not a seafood fan be warned the smell of seafood is very strong when you first enter. It's not a bad smell at all but you do smell the seafood. The atmosphere was very pleasant, bright lights and the wall desing were very pretty! Customer service was great, they listen to you and explain the different dishes if you don't speak Spanish. The food I will give a 4 star. It's authentic Mexican food so don't get the taste and textures confused with Rodeo bc there is a difference. The spice level on the tamales were amazing!! Give it a try!

My mouth is watering just thinking about the meal and posting the pictures. I didn't know i could get such flavorful and fresh food in Dothan. I loved the Carnitas Rojas. Flavorful and a slow smokey kind of spicy heat. The family is thinking of coming back for a second day in a row.

The best Mexican food in The Wiregrass! You can keep going to those b.s. fake and Americanized taco and Mexican food joints like Taco Bell, P.S, Taco, Rodeo and La Parilla or you can get some real authentic Mexican food here! My favorite restaurant in Dothan!

My husband and I just moved to the Dothan area. We travel alot in our motorhome and alway look for authentic Mexican restaurants and wherever we go. This place did not disappoint. We ordered the quesadilla supreme, cheese dip guacamole and a watermelon margarita. OMG, it was all amazing. I love watermelon Margaritas and I order them everywhere we go and rarely do I get one that tasted as good as this one did. Everything about this place was great.

This is THE ONLY authentic Spanish restaurant I will ever go to again. This is truly a hidden gem. Next to none. I can't wait to try over a dozen meals on the menu. Their menu boast all the regular Spanish meals, but additionally, there are dozens of other meals to choose that are not available at other locations surrounding them.

We were visiting family in Dothan over July 4th and these photos from the restaurant were the only ones taken that weekend - if that tells you anything... or the look on this man's happy face when he asked if the corn tortillas were homemade (they are) and received a sampling of Taqueria y Mariscos El Torito's more spicy and delicious salsas. We can't wait to go back on our next visit and wished we lived closer. Don't wait to experience their fresh food and great service.

Eaten here several times and the food is always delicious. The service however is questionable. If I'm in with my girl friends we are always taken care of, but if we have a man with us we are ignored. I'm talking 20 minutes before we can order. Never getting drink refills even when we asked. May just start ordering to go.

Hands down the BEST mexican food in Dothan. I am no expert, but I've had street tacos from all across the west coast, and I know about the nixtalamization process, so I'm somewhat qualified to speak on this.

Dothan has a real special treat here. These tacos are quite possibly the best tacos in south Alabama. I haven't been to Mobile, so take my claim with scrutiny, but don't take my recommendation lightly.

All I've here are the street tacos. Stretchy masa tortillas confirm they are fresh. plenty of onions and cilantro, with perfectly charred and seasoned meat. Various sauces are given by default, incl a green avocado sauce. I believe the street tacos are served with sautéed onions and peppers.

They are not the cheapest street tacos, but being the only authentic place in town demands a higher price. The other offerings in the menu are similarly priced to other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Food was excellent! However we were stuck in a back booth with our back to the wall.....no problem there it was the 4 chairs and the table they butted against our table that made it impossible to get out without rearranging furniture . That made the experience awful.

I discovered this restaurant in January and I’ve been meaning to write a review on the Quesabirrias tacos!!! I’ve have birria before and I didn’t really see the hype. However, I had these and I have almost become a regular on Fridays! It is so flavorful and delicious, I’ve even just bought the birria to take home and make ramen with it! The customer service is pretty good, the servers are nice and the food comes out quickly.

This is heartbreaking to write bc this is one of mine and my son's favorite restaurants in Dothan.
However, tonight(3/12/24) as my son and his friend were enjoying their meal, the friend found a long hair in her dish. They were not mad. Things happen. They politely requested that ONLY the dish that had the hair in it be taken off their bill. The server not only refused, she accused them of planting the hair themselves. The manager would not come speak to them and no effort was made to fix the situation. Based on the way things were handled, if any of us decide to dine there again, it will be quite some time.

If you can't make it back to California, come here. The food gave me flashbacks of Cali and my Suegra's home cooking. Absolutely delicious and actually affordable. We ordered five meals, a gordita and two horchatas (which were amazing) all for only $83. I thought for sure they forgot to charge us for something and even checked our receipt to be sure. The staff is amazing, very sweet and helpful. This is our new favorite place here. So excited to have a taste of home while so far away.

I went there for lunch and got the Quesadilla Supreme. It was delicious, the staff was polite, and the manager/owner I spoke with was informative. I can't wait to return for a surprise birthday dinner I have planned. Apparently they sing, have a sombrero, and for those of age, provide a shot of tequila. I'm going to try to get them to make it flaming.

I love the drinks. Well Worth the price... Enchiladas wasn't what I expected. It was covered and soaked in red sauce(very SALTY). I still had to pay for something that I wasn't satisfied with or even wanted. I was expecting a wrapped cheesy Enchiladas .lol ..Shift Manger or Manger Never cracked a Smile as he walked around , or even talking to me about why i didnt want my dish. Waiter was Very nice.

We had the crab legs. They were over cooked, fishy tasting and mushy. Our drink orders weren't correct. We've been 3 times now and it's always been good until this time. Disappointing, especially since I raved so much about it to the couple we brought with us.

This is not Tex-mex, this is real Mexican. They lean heavily toward seafood. Entree' names are in Spanish. Good flavors. On the spicy side.

I wouldn't go here again if you paid me to go. While the food was good and I had a good time we were charged I gratuity fee on two people in our party. We had a couple meet us for dinner and our total cost went above $80 so they charged us both I gratuity due to the total table amount going above $80 although each couple was $60.

The food was absolutely amazing. However we were not told about our gratuity charge on all tables over $80. We went there as a birthday with four people and our separate tickets were $65 each and they charged a $7 and some change on gratuity for each person. I'm not going back even though the food was really good. They're gratuity left a bad taste in my mouth.

My husband, son, and I stopped for dinner the other night. Waitress was very sweet and attentive. Food was fantastic! We got fish tacos, pork tacos, and chicken fingers woth fries. Horchata was so yummy! Will return!

I just finished leaving a review for another Mexican restaurant here in Dothan. So if you have read that one then this is the other restaurant that I bring my friends to for real authentic Mexican food. My wife made the recommendation to a coworker and friend and now it is a favorite of her and her husband's as well. If you have not seen my other review then I will repeat myself a little. Brought a friend that I use to work and travel with, and of course he is from south of the border. Took him to two restaurants in Dothan that I felt for sure would please his palate. If he gives it the thumbs up then it is the real deal. El Torito is delicious!

Whoa.. this place rocks! I visited from Las Vegas and my kids brought me to try out this restaurant that’s their favorite place to eat.. I can see why… Unfortunately I was too busy eating to get more pictures aside from the cow head taco here… So good!!
We had a party of 8 and they were very accommodating, and never missed a beat.. Everything was top notch and not much more I can say! We had a feast and everyone was more than satisfied with their meal and service.. Definitely will return when I come back to Dothan for a visit…

Sat down with both my kids at 11:00. Only petiole in restaurant and no one came to take our drink or food order. Walked out after 7 minutes of being ignored. All workers were sitting at multiple tables enjoying themselves.

Great food, but the salsa was really spicy, and we waited for quite a bit for our check and receipt, respectively. It was loud, cramped, and the birthday celebration they did for patrons was exceedingly loud. I see it as more of a young adult place. Overall, not bad, though.

Great vibes, food, & drinks. I like to get the Camarones A La Diabla(shrimp devil style, very spicy). For drinks I recommend the cantarito, it's a citrus flavored alcoholic drink, some type of tequila, not sure & I believe it has some type of grapefruit soda, lime, orange, with a chamoy tajin(dry chile rim). Very delicious 👌. I love how when they sit you down they give you a small appetizer of ceviche with tostadas, (warning) the habanero salsa is very spicy, try it before you douse it all over your tostada! It was so spicy I caught an attitude outta no where!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It is delicious, not complaining but it is super spicy! I recommend this restaurant 100%!!!!

Lady cleaning tables with chemicals and handling dirty dishes, handling her cell phone, then serving food all with the same pair of gloves. Poor hand hygiene at this establishment. Music was too loud for table conversation. Waitress left for break halfway through our meal and no one replaced her. Had flag someone after waiting 20 minutes just for the ticket. Was planning on ordering additional food but between the atmosphere and the service, we were ready to get out of there.
