Disgusting is an understatement! I ordered seafood nachos and got imitation crab meat with gross cheese melted on crackers! My Granddaughter ordered a quesadilla and it was so hard she couldn’t eat it! We did have some salsa and chips that were so so! Over $50.00 got garbage! We paid and left!

Absolutely the worst Mexican/southeastern food I’ve ever had. First the atmosphere smells like an extension of cigar shop next store. The staff was fine shy to say the least. Now onto the food chips perfectly fine, just like you would get out of the bag, cheese dip well let’s just say the coldest thickest cheese dip ever. Now on to the entree girlfriend had quesadilla, onions slimy, steak was a light Gray tasteless and poor quality. My entree was a burrito canned chicken with a pound of shredded cheese not even melted nothing else in the burrito. The outside had some grill grease spilled over it. Beans were crusty and hard the rice tasted like cleaner. So all and all a meal for two that was $37.82 was horrible. We ended up not eating that night because of it!

Food was excellent. A cross between Mexican and American. Portions of food excellent. Staff is very friendly. Cozy atmosphere and nicely decorated . The prices are very reasonable.

Rice not season right or properly. They clearly don’t sanitize the dishes the food taste like the water they wash the plates with.

Btw we took one bite and grab the check because the food was that gross
They still had the decency to charge us for it

The staff was friendly and attentive, the service was pretty good, chips and salsa we're good as well, the food however had too much cheese and tasted like something out of a highschool cafeteria, other than the food it's a great little place packed full of people.

Best Mexican food in Dothan by a long shot. The chips and salsa are among the best I've had and the steak Chimichanga is incredible. (Think deep fried Philly cheese steak.) Plus, the atmosphere is great, they have a ton of specials and the service is always excellent.

Food was fair the service was horrible. Our server was horrible. No refills, didnt put order in for my dessert then i asked her about it she said that she ran the order in, then comes back and said kitchen lost ticket when in fact she said "that was a large right? So she forgot to put order in,

Very nice servers, however the cheese dip isn’t cheese at all!!- the Fajitas were ok, the Stuffed Renello was very good. The Guacamole dip was awful as well. We will not be going back. The owner was very dismissive and acted like she didn’t care. We also ordered Rice and Beans which our waitress took off our ticket. The owner asked what was wrong with the Rice and Beans why was it taken off the ticket? I politely nothing was wrong the waitress didn’t bring it to our table. She just said oh. The Pepsi was very good though!!!

We, my wife and myself, still go here as often as we can. Never have had a bad experience due to anything they had control over. Items not available due to shortages nation wide do not count.
Will continue to eat here.
Good food and service. Not a chain Mexican restaurant. Great decor. The food is American Mexican. They have good home made salsa. If your looking for food that's not from a freezer and microwaved then this is it. This place has been around for over 30 years and is worth checking out.

Only ordered 3 things a beef burrito with bean and rice on the side, and nachos with a side of queso total cost ended up being $56!! The queso is tasted very bland and was kinda cold like it was store bought or something, I normally don’t make bad reviews but this was outrageous and I don’t recommend anyone going there if your looking for a good Mexican restaurant

Had dinner there tonight. The cheese dip has tasted different for the past few weeks and not in a good way. I do not know how to explain it without sounding mean. It just tastes wrong. The rest of the meal was fantastic, and the service was great!

Tonight I ordered two large taco salads and they were terrible meat was watery and they had no refried beans and the salad wasn't drained.
Overall the meal was very disappointing.

The atmosphere is good but the food was not. The tacos had too much lettuce and tomatoes on it, no flavor. My chimichanga was greasy and burnt from the cheese. The chips and the dip was good. Maybe I will try again but I'm not sure.

Decent food but the Owner/Manager is why I will NEVER visit this restaurant again. For some reason, they are now charging a 3% fee to their customers that use credit cards(who doesn't use credit cards these days). I merely asked why, and with an ATTITUDE she replies, "I guess you don't get out much?". I say, "Can you tell me another (established) restaurant that charges this fee to their customers??" Of course she couldn't answer that and how and why would you talk to any customer like that in front of other customers?

This entire confrontation with her reminded me about a catered food order I tried placing last year for a party I was hosting. The entire time on the phone, she complained and sighed about people calling about catered orders that don't want to pay those prices that she's charging. What professional person complains about other customers to a customer? I didn't place that order with them and wished I remembered that tonight.

Ordered chimechanga; arrived covered in an inch of cheese and soggy with sauce. Sent it back and asked for no cheese on top and sauce on the side. Came back so hard and almost black! Couldn't even cut into it. Been here many times before but won't be back any time soon. They need to have a serious conversation with their clueless cook.

Gave them 2 stars because the waiter was super nice other than that they would have gotten a zero for food and customer service. My chips on my chicken nachos was burnt. I sent them back and they brought it back with a small bowl of chips for me to just take the top off and put on chips brought out. I said what's this so the waiter took it back and came back with a smaller portion than the 1st plate I had. So I asked her was I going to be charged 1/2 price since I got half a plate, she asked "manager " and she said he/she'll only take $3 off. I was so upset at this point that I just shook my head and said ok because I didn't want to cause a scene in front of the kids that was there. POOR excuse of a manager. Keep your customers happy it wasn't my fault that my chips was burnt, just remake it, keep customers happy and coming back! Not my favorite place anymore●

I’m sorry, but this was the worst Mexican food I have ever encountered.
Very disappointing.

I ordered for lunch a chicken fajita burrito. $15

I asked the waiter who was a very nice young man what it consisted of, I don’t eat here so I wasn’t sure. He said chicken and onions and bell pepper. With lettuce and tomato on top.

I’m good with that. I asked for cheese dip on top of my burrito instead of the lettuce and tomato and he says sorry we can’t do that.
Ok… no problem, I ordered a small cheese dip and I’ll do it myself.

I got a burrito with what appears to be canned shredded chicken and some slimy days old onion and bell pepper. And guess what? It had thick oily melted cheese all over it. So I guess my large $6 bowl of thick water flavored cheese dip will go to waste now.

Overall it was very disappointing and I ate about 1/3 of my burrito before giving up and asking for the check.

Nothing tasted good at all.
Sad sad sad.

After leaving the kid a tip, it was $30 for lunch! For one person!

What a waste of money this was.

Christ almighty. I’m fairly sure my Chinese food blender at home is more Mexican than this place. Absolutely disgusting food. The owner was proud enough to make an appearance through the middle of the restaurant yelling at the hostess to stop accepting people at 6:10 or she would walk out, and then 5 minuets later told them to turn the closed sign on outside. Ever watched Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares and wanted to feel like part of the action? If so this is the place for you!

The waiters though were amazing and they are being wasted at this place.

If I could give -5 stars, I would. This was the worst Mexican food I've ever had!! We spent $40 on 3 chimichangas, 2 beef and 1 chicken and they all went in the trash. They were greasy and just plain disgusting. The chicken made me gag. I'm actually sick to my stomach from what portion I did eat. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Overpriced, they charge for additional baskets of chips, the queso has a weird canned texture and is super bland, doesn't really seem like Mexican food even. There are a lot better choices around.

Has been a horrible restaurant for the 16 years that I have lived in the Wiregrass. The only "connection" between this place & Mexico is in the owners minds & plenty of racist trope in the decorations.
If I could give ZERO stars I certainly would.
Supposedly closes @ 7:30pm. Tried to call in @ 6:45 & phone was off the hook. Finally drove there & arrived @ 7:20pm. Was refused service because they were "closed". I will GLADLY take my $$$ to any of the much better restaurants in Dothan-Mexican or other!!!

Food is insanely overpriced, $14 for a lunch burrito. To add insult to injury, they charge you 25¢ for a toddler sized to go cup. Explains why they’re losing so much business to the legitimate Mexican restaurants.

First off never have I been to a Mexican place and everyone at the table pay $1 if you want more then 1 basket of chips (which only contains 20 chips for 5 people). Second the wait time for food is the longest. The waiter was good she kept the drinks full but the cooking took forever.

Awful, this was my first time here since they moved from hwy 231 years ago. Has gone down hill severely! Turned into a hole in the wall place that the cigar smell from a neighbor shop wafts thru the walls, the food is sub par.. Chips were stale, salsa had no taste and cheese dip was so thick and not as good as it used to be. Will not be back

Understand when you come here that the food is *not* authentic tasting. It is Mexican style Southeastern fare. The only item we had that had even a mild kick to it was the salsa. We had the burro lunch special. Beef burrito, beef taco, and choice of Spanish rice or refried beans. All were completely bland. They were, however, fully cooked and well presented. My girlfriend said her margarita tasted more like salt than tequila.
The restaurant itself is clean and orderly. Excellent ambiance. Restrooms are single serve and sanitary. The service is excellent and very friendly. I would definitely take a tenderfoot here for "Mexican".
I would suggest they begin offering authentic tasting alternatives to those of us who like that sort of thing.

The atmosphere was beautiful, and the resturant was clean,chicken burrito was good, the salsa was bland (for some that's good) but for me I like spice and peppers with a little bite. Bathroom was clean , face mask were on, and I seen employees sanitizing tables and seats between customers

Traveling on business I happened in on this place, and to frank I've never felt so welcome at a restaurant as I felt on this trip. So much so I came back the next night. Food was fantastic but I'm no connoisseur, so I'll stick to applauding the staff. Love this place.

I have patronized here for give/take 30 years. Ownership & staff have always been tops. Stopped at 4 instead of 5 stars bc of pricing. Most entrees $1-2 too high & good gracious, pay more if you'd like lettuce, etc.

Expensive, but we love the food.
The new times are not good. We tend to eat later in the day because of work. Now it's rare to catch you open in time for us to eat, even if we just do curbside. We started trying to call in tonight at 7pm thinking you closed at 8pm (close at 7:30pm), but couldn't get through. We will hopefully catch you soon.

I rarely ever post a negative review, but here we go. My family and I did not enjoy our experience here. We came here after a cousin reccomended it. The interior smells like someone smokes cigarettes in the restaurant, and it is rather crowded. The salsa tasted like someone took Pace Picante sauce and just cut up green onions and dropped them in to make it look fresher. We ordered cheese dip and I never thought you could ruin queso, but that was some faux cheese. It was thick and chunky, and tasted nothing like how traditional queso should.

The bathrooms weren't very clean, and on the way back to the table, I noticed that the way they store their chip baskets is unorthodox. They stack the chip baskets one on top of another and is not sanitary, especially in pandemic (baskets on tables and then on top of the chips your going to eat?) I had ordered a chicken fajita burrito and was very disappointed in the lack of filling. There was almost zero delicious, traditional Mexican flavor that you expect. My mother's chimchanga was unlike any chimchanga I have ever seen, and not in good way. My aunt ordered the nachos and couldn't even eat all of them. It was extremely disappointing and we couldn't recommend it to anyone. The service was decent enough, our server was nice, but we just can't get past that food. It just didn't taste fresh or good, and covering everything in iceberg lettuce just doesn't make it better.

I wish I could've said that we had a good experience, but we just didn't.
