Agave Mexican Restaurant Fairhope

Great go-to for Mexican food! Food is always good, service is always quick and it’s a great looking dining room, very festive. It’s a great place to take a group or just relax by yourself (sometimes you gotta get away). I’ve never had an issue here and it’s always a good experience. Chips and salsa are good. I say that because I have become disenchanted with the chips at a lot of restaurants. Fajitas are my favorite, delicious and sizzling, the way they should be! If you’re in the Fairhope area, I highly recommend Agave. ❤️

First time visiting this restaurant. Agave has a beautiful ambiance, but the food was mediocre. No seasoning on the fajitas and the flan was well done! I am spoiled to dining in New Orleans, food never fails there.

We stopped at Agave for dinner and margaritas last night. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Patty, was wonderful! Our margaritas were fantastic. I highly recommend the Presidente. The fresh guacamole was perfection! It was the best guacamole we've had in a long time. It was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, great service, and amazing food!

Service was good, friendly and quick. Atmosphere was good as well. Food was really a disappointment. Bland, very simple, and quite honestly just gross. If they improved the kitchen side (recipes and ingredients) they could do really well.
We ordered fish tacos, the sampler platter, and enchilada Verdes. I don’t recommend any of them. Photos added of fish tacos and chicken flautas.

I'd try it again. The town had the Christmas tree lighting that night, so it was packed. The waitress seemed lacrimose, but it may have been the crowd on a Thursday. The food was good except the guacamole, which was a dark shade of greenish brown. Make guacamole green again!

I used to love this place. I moved away several years ago. Visiting today I learned the good quality has slipped terribly, the prices have exploded ($15.99 for one flauta). Seriously go to Taco Bell. This place is beyond gross at this point. Burrito had to be beef or chicken no cheese. Seemed odd until it came half still cold and watery. Obviously mad in advance. The beef flats was very greasy and meat overcooked like it was refried. The tostada had a weird aftertaste, I think the sour cream had turned. I ate nothing after tasting each thing and paid the full bill. In case you thought I was looking to eat for free. Really disappointing

Juliette and Diego are amazing!! The Chunky Guacamole is so fresh! My favorite dish is the Tacos Al Pastor. The blend of pork and pineapple is perfection. Service is always great and the atmosphere is upbeat, fun and clean.

Best food and service around we love this establishment have been coming here for years. We even no one of the owners through his business. That's how friendly they are ,They do all the small things to get big results.Our waitress tonight was Jackie. She is as great a waitress as she is beautiful. I would highly recommend this establishment! Very friendly environment with phenomenal food I would not eat Mexican food anywhere else.

Amazing staff, i appreciate everyone that they do in agave. We had fajitas. Burrito Supreme. Tacos de pastor. And 2 chili relino, 1 shrimp 1 beef. And cheese dip.
Dip tasted like walmart. Fajitas were the most bland I ever had. Burritos had a red sauce that wasn't on the menu description, tasted like shizz. Tacos tasted burnt and had an odd sauce to go with them that tasted like shizz. The chili relino were cheese relino and were sitting on the beef and shrimp, not stuffed in them like they should.
Everything suckked. Don't waste your money. The only reason we went to this hole in the wall again, was because El Mexicano was remodeling. I will drive to foley tacobell before going back in agave again.

Whether you're dining alone or in a group, even for celebrations, quick friendly service and there's something for everyone on the menu. Quite a selection of items and dishes. We had some fantastic margaritas 1 mango and 1 jalapeño. The jalapeño one I had was great. I had a Tomale and taco plate and Sandra had fajitas and beans and rice. All was very good and can't wait to go back.

I’m an Asian. Stopped by the restaurant after work to join my friends. Be there about 15 minutes, no waitress showed up. My white friend arrived later, be there about one minute, someone came up asking what we want. Before I left, we asked another waitress to take a picture of us, picture one is what I get. My another white friend stopped by after I left, sitting at the exact same spot where I was, picture two is what she gets. Apparently I am invisible in this restaurant. Feel very disgusted. Will never come back.

Ahh. Wonderful oasis. Full bar, great chips. Guacamole with or w/o onions freshly made. Generous servings of all orders. The taco salad was super and chimi delectable. If you still have room, share their fried ice cream. You will come back too! Close parking. Kid friendly and patio for outside eating weather permitting.

We dined in tonight and i got the steak and chicken fajitas and my date got the loaded fries when they came out to say the plate was covered in cilantro did not do it justice and the french fries were still frozen in the middle so we changed her dish to chicken with rice and cheese and when that came out it had pieces of shrimp in it which was cause for alarm due to her seafood allergy we've dined here before and never had issues like this im not sure what the issue is

Once I was at the restaurant to pick up my order, I saw a sign saying that they offered a discount for paying in cash. I wish someone had told me that when I made the order on the phone.

If you're in search of the best Mexican food in Fairhope, go to Agave! I personally love the Enchiladas Verde and tostada! You definitely get a bang for the buck. The service is great, with many of the staff having been there since the beginning (10+ years), no small feat for a restaurant. Highly recommended!
