Yep, the chips and dip were even good. I had the surpreme nachos with all the fixings. Tasty and the ground beef was fresh. My watress / Sachit was fun with a good spirit. It was a good experience as well as food. I'll be back.

Cactus Cantina of Fairhope is the BEST! The food is always amazing, the employees are so friendly, and it is a great atmosphere. They are so quick, easy, and accurate with their To Go orders. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well. This is by far the best location- don’t waste your time or money at the Foley restaurant!

This place was recommended to me from a friend so I decided to give them a try. Delicious food! A little pricey for lunch. Service was good. The table felt small so keep this in mind if going with a group. It may be hard to find parking depending on when you go. All in all, would definitely recommend. The food was really good!

I ordered a fajita quesadia and it was the best quesadia I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant. Two of my friends ordered the beef flatuas and they said they have never had such good ones before. Food was hot and we didn't have to wait long.

The server was really bad here. The manager sucked too. He was propped against the counter watching TikTok while we waited and waited for our server to come back to get us drinks. For me the spicyness of the Texas Fajita was pretty bland. The ACP for my wife was pretty dry as they did not have much cheese in it. Chips were fresh and hot! Salsa was very good for my wife as it is not too spicy but for me it was lacking in heat but had a great flavor. Being able to eat outside was great and the sound of water falling is a beautiful sound ! The service was a little slow but it was on a Sunday so it was very busy. This can be an area that is hard to find a parking spot.

First time here and we enjoyed our visit!
The margaritas were delicious and the food was great as well.
I ordered the fish tacos and they were great! The wifey had the fajita steak nachos and they were great too! They sure didn’t skimp on the steak either!
The cactus grits are a delicious side option. Definitely look forward to coming back soon!

This place used to be great, but not anymore. Our server suggested a 16 oz blood orange margarita for $10 but when she returned to our table she apologized that it was only an 8 oz (that’s a huge difference). Also it tasted like a nonalcoholic juice, no tequila. I was unnecessarily polite due to my own problematic nature but I feel like she could have at least offered to discount the misadvertised drinks. Moving on, the shredded chicken was so dry and tough that nobody could chew the food. We were so disappointed, we left hungry and without a buzz.

For me the spicyness of the Texas Fajita was pretty bland. The ACP for my wife was pretty dry as they did not have much cheese in it. Chips were fresh and hot! Salsa was very good for my wife as it is not too spicy but for me it was lacking in heat but had a great flavor. Meh for me 😔 Too many people packed in a small space. Therefore...too loud...couldn't hear the friends with me. Felt uncomfortable(for me and folks sitting at their table )trying to worm my way to the restroom...too close to people eating...😕 One in our group had to "settle" for something other than the "popular" item they wanted. That can happen (I know, it sells out because it's popular) but should have enough of it on hand...it was lunchtime...not like we were there at the end of a long day. I enjoyed other locations. Wouldn't be a first choice for me. 🤗

I was with my granddaughter and we went in and went to go sit down. First of all the sat us next to the bar.( We asked to move though) After that we order our meal, other family’s where coming in and sat down and got there food before we did. Anyway, I ordered the Fajita Salad and when they brought it out It had refried beans inside the shell totally soggy. I asked the person in charge why were they there(not to mention when you get to the bottom it is not able to be eaten)he said “It is there to keep it from sliding.” It is not worth going back.

My mom and aunt liked theirs. I got the Carnitas tacos (3). Not enough meat so I made two out three. Didn't come with the cilantro-lime cabbage or salsa verde. Got the refried beans as the side. Don't know what they were but they were not refried beans, couldn't eat them. Server wanted to be somewhere else. Two competing musics, one from the speaker and one from the kitchen. Won't be back.

Went here on a Friday night with 12 other people. As soon as we walked in we were told to wait about 5 minutes while they cleaned a spot for us on the patio. We ordered drinks from the bar while we waited. As soon as we finished the drinks someone comes out & tells us that they are closing early when the website said open until 10pm (I see they have changed that now)it was only about 9:20pm. The 2 people that came in after us were seated & allowed to eat their food. Clearly they did not want to serve us so after a few words with the person in charge we left. I will never try to eat here again!

My wife and I come here very often and for good reason. You can split the Texas fajitas for 1 between 2 hungry people and still have leftovers. The food quality is great, the service and atmosphere have always been top notch, the portion sizes are great, and the knockout margarita is the best dollar for dollar marg I’ve ever had. We’ve been dozens of times and never been let down in any way. High regards, because it’s hard to be perfect all the time.

Great food ( all of my many experience have been wonderful at this location ) in my opinion this is the best Mexican restaurant within 25 miles of fairhope. But if you have a large party I would call ahead and check how busy they are as the indoor area can fill up very fast as it is not very large.

Having moved from Austin to Fairhope last summer after 50 years in Texas, I have pretty high standards for Mexican food. Catus Cantina is the best I have found on the Eastern Shore. I can name dozens of others that are terrible, but Catus Cantina is our perferred choice for Mexican.

It's our favorite place to get margaritas in town and they are fairly priced. They have a limited menu and my family perfers the beef and chicken fajitas. I didn't care for their chicken tacos... soft and stringy like canned chicken. I perfer grilled chicken thighs or breast for tacos. Maybe someone messed it up that day.

I'm still looking for a restaurant that serves Pollo Loco with grilled chicken thighs and Chili Colorado with pork. If I could offer them any suggestions to add to their menu, those woule be the ones.

I have tried this place twice. Food is sub par. Service is ehh. Don't place a Togo order for sure. Not one item was right. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for a refund. To make matters worse. The food isn't worth what Taco Bell charges. Never again will I eat from this establishment.

The food was great, fresh. We had a new waitress Mattie! She was very friendly and did a great job serving us. It was her first time waiting on multiple tables and was new, she constantly checked to make sure everything was good. I made sure the manager there knew what a great job she did, when we go back we will be asking for her again!

Can't comment on food or service, because when we walked in were told that they have 2 minutes to open. Not even going to slam them because I have managed a restaurant before and if any of my employees messed up and left a door open and turned away $ over 2 minutes they would have been working somewhere else I POMISE YOU! I don’t typically leave reviews on businesses however, even the following day, I’m still bothered by our experience at Cactus Cantina that I can’t help but share.
Let me preface with the fact I’ve never been to this restaurant before. We were attending Fairhope’s NYE event last night and decided to stop-in on our way to the ball drop area, just to grab a couple of drinks. With that being said, we were not aware of what time the kitchen closed, or anything. We saw people dining in a restaurant and decided to test our luck. From the very moment we opened the door, it was as if we were the most unwelcome guests at the establishment. The hostess was rude, snarky, etc because (I assume) the kitchen was closing. We assured them we weren’t really eating and were just looking to get a drink. Keep in mind, the restaurant was full of people at this point. The hostess didn’t say a word, just walked off to talk to a server about us wanting to come in. The server came over and rolled her eyes and said they were cleaning a table. STILL, we weren’t aware of what the issue was with us being there. Eventually, we were escorted to the dirtiest table in the restaurant. Soggy food under the table, used paper napkins in the chairs. It was a little gross. At this point, we really weren’t trying to cause a stink. We were just trying to get in and get out.
The server came over to the table to get our drink order. She made it VERY clear that we were not wanted there. From the tone in her voice to the LITERAL scoffs
when she asked us if we were on one check or separate and we told her separate (No exaggeration, that literally happened). Once she brought us our drinks, she asked if we wanted anything to eat before the kitchen closes. Only Two people ordered something (3 tacos and an order of loaded fries). When she got to the last girl at the table she said “I really wish I could give you more time but I can’t. And they won’t let me.” Our friend was too stunned to even order. At this point, we really weren’t even treated like human beings. The food that was allowed to be consumed was good. But we were so uncomfortable the entire time that we really couldn’t enjoy it. We quickly finished our drinks, paid our tabs and exited the building. We weren’t even the last table in there. There were several tables still occupied.

Coming from the service industry, I just have to know how management can allow their staff to treat customers with such hostility and hatred? If you didn’t want us in your restaurant, tell us to leave. We would have gone next door to Ravenite or one of the other restaurants that would have (and did) welcome their guests.

I’ve never experienced anything like this in our town. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere and great people, I’d recommend going around the corner to Agave where you’re not treated like the scum on the bottom of their shoes and the margaritas are not watered down glasses of salt, AND you don’t have to dine in fear.

Sat at the bar Monday night. The bar was filthy with food stuck to it. The bartender finally showed up with an attitude. We kindly asked for a bar rag and didn't mind cleaning the bar but she got more attitude. Never took drink order, slid a few menus at us and had more attitude. We got up and walked out. Went to Agave and was greeted with a pleasant hostess and a server who was happy to see us. Food and service was great at Agave. Tipped well. I was looking forward to my first time at Cactus Cantina, but will never return.

This was my first time eating at Cactus Cantina. I had the spinach and mushroom quesadilla, it was really good. My friend had the chicken and cheese nachos, which she said was delicious. We went in at lunchtime and our service was great, we were in and out in about an hour.

This was the best Mexican cuisine I've had in a long time. The salsa was flavorful, the chips were hot and freshly made, and our entrees came out timely. I had the burrito ranchero with steak and the steak was not over cooked or under cooked-just right. And it was seasoned very well. And y'all are onto something with those "cactus grits". Cheese grits with peppers and maybe bacon. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this spot if you have a food allergy. My family and I went here while on vacation and we let the waitress know upon ordering that one of our members had a shellfish allergy. She assured us everything would be cooked separately. However, this wasn’t the case after eating a few bites of her nachos she started to have an allergic reaction. We spoke with the manager, who seemed not to care one bit, his response was well they do cook the chips with shrimp but I don’t know because I’m not back there. The situation was definitely not handled professionally.

Dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in! Floor was filthy. We were seated at a table with every chair full of food crumbles. After we wiped a seat out we waited for a server for over 10 mins with no one coming over to us. Lots of workers standing around. Got up and walked out.

Table was sticky, floors dirty, silverware dirty, unfriendly. Food was ok. Guacamole and margaritas were good.

I have eaten at Cactus Cantina and they have excellent food and drinks. I am also a Waitr Driver and I deliver for them a great deal. They have never messed up an order in the whole time I’ve been delivering food with Waitr. They are one of my favourite places to deliver for. The staff are friendly and outgoing, the restaurant is clean and attractive and it has a festive atmosphere. I highly recommend it to everyone including families with children.

I didn’t like how there sauce was so watery and my green bell peppers &onions for my steak burrito didn’t taste like they were sautéed long enough- and I did a Togo order and it was ready in like 7 mins. 4/10

I went to this location on Friday, May 13. My friend and I came in about an hour before they closed because everywhere else in Fairhope closed early this day. Our waitress, Katie, was phenomenal. She offered an extra plate after realizing we only ordered one meal. She was very attentive and showed great customer service. She made sure to double check our meal when it was brought out to make sure it was correct. I even asked to speak with the manager to say something positive as everything is always negative. I would definitely recommend this location to others, and hope Katie continues to care and be attentive towards her customers.

My Son took me there for mothersday because we both love street tacos .... the server was horrible by the time (a) server noticed i was in need of something the food was cold. atleast 4 ppl that worked there was eating at the same time ....this place needs a little brushing up on how to serve a table non friendly never had the 1st person say Happy Mothers day needless to say we will not be returning and btw we didnt tip 👍

This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've had in a long while. The customer service was excellent and the food was amazing. I ordered the Gulf Fish Burrito with the cactus grits; The fish burrito is an awesome experience i won't forget and the cactus grits, which were cheesey grits with pieces of peppers, were excellent. Topped off wit an excellent house made salsa, everything was perfect and we only had to wait half an hour to be seated. If you need great service, hope to be served by Maddie.
