Los Tacos

We recently moved here from Southern California and have been struggling to find Mexican food that is even decent! This is the best in the area by far for breakfast and dinner. Now that we’ve discovered it we go about twice a week.
You CANNOT beat the prices. My husband and I can eat for less than $20. That’s the same as McDonalds. The workers are always super nice and the food comes out fast. If I had any compliant it would be about the portion sizes. However comparing it to the price, totally worth it.

Amazingly tasty food! I was just driving through, and I thought I would try it out. They did not disappoint. Their burrito was large and tasty. Their fish taco had nice sized chunks of fish. There was a large selection of items to choose from, so it will take many times to try everything. Don't pass this yummy place by.

I know shrinkflation is hitting everyone hard, but c’mon guys… they are charging for green salsa now, and they switched salsa cups to the minuscule ones pictured (that’s an .80 side of sour cream). Also they have stopped stocking paper towels in the bathrooms.

Disappointing considering the menu prices have been raised recently as well.

The food is still pretty good, IMO.

Edit: decided to give them one last chance and ordered flautas. As you can see they are mostly bread- they literally taste like fried bread. I know all the food for these restaurants comes on a Sysco truck but Los Tacos is obviously buying the cheapest stuff possible to cut costs. This place has gone so downhill recently, it used to be my favorite Mexican place to eat. I’m done with Los Tacos, adios…

This place is great!! Originally we thought we were gonna go through the drive through but decided to dine-in. Menu has great options- service was fast & the food was tasty! My picture is from after I finished eating, so you can see the portions are generous!

Great Mexican food at a great price. Dine in, or take it to go. Fast easy menu, quick and friendly service. Very clean. Beer wine and a few select cocktails available. Ample parking and wheelchair accessible. For a big huger, get the mucho macho burrito. It weighs about five pounds! Click a like if this helps! Ole!

I'm giving two stars because the customer service is absolutely great, the time from ordering to getting my food phenomenal.
However I just got three steak tacos and green salsa and that was the most un seasoned tacos I have ever eaten in my life. If I didn't have the salsa there would've been NO FLAVOR. The only reason I finished those tacos is because I paid 15 dollars for my meal.

This is there Supreme Quesadilla chicken. I paid $27 dollars for it and 6 tacos. The meat had no seasoning. The food is Gross.
After a year tried it again, and it was still gross and customer service is really bad. Today I paid $22 for 2 quesadilla and my dog wouldn't it. Over half is nothing but shell. The only way they get good reviews is family, friends and people they give free food. No Chips or salsa, acted like I was crazy for asking..

I had ordered steak fajitas from the drive through. Which the meat is cut like a tooth pick . I guess the owner’s / mangers wife was working the window . She is the one that wears the black framed glasses. As I got to the window I decided I wanted a drink . She took the money and slammed the window in my face . Never got the drink ….Omg ! Thought I was robbing her are something . Only could have been extra money in her rude pocket . Looked like she thought she was above people . Rude ! I will never go there again . I pay the same price at a sit down restaurant as I do there . Plus I left a tip . What a dummy I was . Never again ! Hey owner / manger your woman is running people off . Think you could do better anyway .Do not try to say they forgot anything in your order .Little heavy set short brown head woman wants to argue with you and every time you go back after that . looks at you rude ! Like you were trying to get over on her . I don’t have to get over on anyone .

This is an amazing fast yummy lunch. They have daily specials you can get for under $10 that includes a drink. The drive thru is a very tight corner & small. My truck can't make the tight turn so you have to run over a curb to get around to the speaker. I've never been Inside so I can't speak for anything more than the drive-thru experience. Twice I've ordered a chimichanga & got a quesadilla but I honestly wasn't upset because it was still yummy.

My son's autistic very picky eater and with no complaints they fix him a chicken, cheese and rice burrito he eats the whole thing and best churros in town!! True Mexican food I'm from a area we dont like sweet tasting Mexican food this is the only place i go for real homemade food. I drive from foley to get this food. Best pico that salsa will make you sweat!

I loved that you can get Mexican food with a drive thru since there aren't any other Mexican drive thrus in Fairhope ( that I know of anyway). I ordered the taquitos, which were $4 something, a soda and a side order of cheese dip and it was $14. I was stunned it was so much. It didn't even come with chips and salsa, nor did I get a receipt to see what the cost breakdown was. Sadly I didn't see that the taquitos are literally mini, not normal size. I had order the side order of cheese dip that I wanted to eat with chips, but I didn't know there weren't any until I drove off. I have never gotten Mexican take out and chips not been included. Everything was very good, just not worth the cost for what I received.

They have taken my order wrong even after repeating myself numerous times, and I let it go because I understand accidents can happen. This last time I was not so happy about it so I asked them if they could make fix the mistake. They told me I’d have to rebuy new food. I would be careful to read the receipt before you takeoff with your food or you will have to rebuy new food @ $30 for two burritos and an order of chips with queso cheese is pretty pricey.

Ordered food thru drive thru. Pulled up, received our order except for two beef tacos. We were ask to pull up and she would bring them out. I ended up having to go in and get my tacos which were sitting on the counter. Needless to say our food was cold at this point. Hopefully others have better experiences.

The nachos come with cheese dip that you have to pour yourself. I have no problem with that, but it was watered down with very little cheese. The flautas had very little chicken in them. It was basically a fried tortilla shell. We took a break from this place due to it not being good before. This time the break is permanent.

Authentic- seems to be family owned & operated. No frills, just great Mexican food. I like that the tacos are lightly fried small corn tortillas & the chips are thin and low salt.
I do wish they had Mole though.

Pretty damn good carnitas and al pastor tacos. Speaking as a guy from Los Angeles who grew up on Mexican food. No stews or things like you would find in LA,but here in lower Alabama, this is a find. I especially liked the authentic retried beans...seriously good. Will be back

Food is ok, and the place is always clean. Other than that it puts off bad vibes. I don’t mind paying proud prices for food, but they act like it’s an inconvenience for you to be there. They ask for a tip for no service. Give you one napkin and a thimble sized salsa cup, poor attitude if you ask for more. $3 drinks or charge for water cup. Won’t be surprised if they add an air conditioning fee for those who dine in.

I hate to rate 2 stars, but this food gave me the impression it is low quality frozen reheated microwave food. The lettuce is fresh. Everything else even the cheese is pre shredded.

My favorite place to go. I get their bean and cheese burritos a couple times a week. The hot sauce is made in house and it is exceptional. If you like mexican food then go here.

DON’T EVER GO HERE!!!
They charged an additional 3.5 % if you use a credit card so bring cash if you dare and then they have a jar in the drive through window asking for a tip.
Now let’s get to the food the churros was not cooked all the way, my taco meat was cold and I had to wait so long for food to come out; that it should have been free. So really I give them the donkey award!!!

The folks at this Los Tacos location are especially friendly. The food and service is as you would expect from a typical fast casual restaurant. Although it can get pretty busy during lunch hours, they are reliably quick with orders. I recommend their chips and salsa.

My FAVORITE First Stop of the day!! The fella taking orders is genuinely pround to help you. He remembers my preferences and I practically don't even have to order. They put a LOT of Love into their food too!!
I'm a HUGE Fan of their Chorizo Burrito and the Horchata! BEST Breakfast Burrito I believe I've had!! The Horchata is a really great way to get your day started!
OH! And, their Huevos Rancheros is GENUINELY Awesome!!!

Family ordered birria tacos, nachos, & shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were decent, the birria tacos tasted as if someone poured a whole container of salt on them. Nachos, -10/10 would not recommend. Lady at the cash register was extremely rude.

Not at all the place it used to be. This restaurant used to be straight out of Southern Cali but now it’s just the same cheap dog food grade food most cheap Mexican places have. Very sad

First with the good: Crunchy ground beef tacos were decent. Meat isn't incredibly flavorful but the crunchy fried taco shell makes up for it. The tomatilla salsa is very good. Now with the not-so-good: The asada quesadilla was super unexciting. It looked and tasted like something me myself as a gringa would make at home...actually, my quesadillas are better. Will probably come back for the crunchy tacos.

Wife had the traditional tacos with beef (can't remember name) but she said they were on point and wanted to go back the next day!

Hands down best “Mexican” food on the coast! I ordered three tacos a La carte and they were delish. Thin Corn tortillas fried when we ordered. Food came pretty quickly. Very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Food was excellent! Had a chicken chimichanga and chips and salsa. Very affordable. Only suggestion would be to use real plates and cutlery instead of the Styrofoam and plastic.

Fish tacos for 4.09 each that were the size of a Taco Bell cheesy melt with barely any fish. Is this a joke? The tortilla was hard on the edges like it was stale as well. Husband got beef enchiladas and they were flavorless. Just tasted like oil or lard . 20.00 lunch and we had to get something to eat afterward.

Loved the food! Fresh and homemade quality. Best tacos I have had in quite a while. Was visiting from out of town and ate here twice because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Food was consistently good. Clean restaurant and restrooms.
