Best fish taco I have ever had! I ordered the three Baja tacos. I loved how the fresh was cut and cooked and the combination of flavors! Fast service! It tastes fresh and delicious! We are only here one day and I plan to come back tomorrow!

I’m from here. Moved away. Haven’t been here in 4 years. Come into town to visit family and eat at one of our old favorite places. The folks were nice. My food was great but my family said their rice was undercooked. No biggie. But it was the fact they started shutting down the restaurant at 7:45 while we were eating and according to Google they don’t close until 9:00. An employee told one of us to not sit in the “back lobby” but I didn’t realize this until I had already taken a seat near the fountain soda machine. All the while the employees are shutting down the restaurant. Just seems to have lost their service touch it used to have.

I was greeted upon getting in the line. I noticed lots of postings about news changes coming including prices, meal selections, kids meals etc. It was kind of alarming to see all of that also. Next I looked at the menu to see what I wanted. A customer directly behind me actually suggested the quesadilla kids meal, which I decided to get.
It comes with cheese on a circular small 8 inch bread. They have gluten free options. I got chicken, steak, black beans, pico, cilantro, mild salsa, raw onions, cucumbers, spinach, and green onions. I asked for a light toast. It comes with 2oz queso dip and chips that are thin warm.and crispy, not crunchy, which I like crispy too.

The food was ordered to go. For my drink I got the fruit tea.

The taste was great, I wound up eating inside 😂 There was more workers inside than customers and I found peace in that. The employees are all professional, polite and posed.

The food was delicious, soggy because I guess I put salsa on it but good. The queso dip might be addictive so be careful. 😂 The fruit tea tastes like it's base was orange juice but it was good not too sweet and I enjoyed it.

I would recommend this place. I would rate 5 if they remove the numerous notices all over the store which leads me to believe management is very strict on everything and not open to change or allowing their employees to have much say or possibly customers.

Overall it's good food. Great service. Great prices, for now, since one post did say starting January 1, 2025 prices going up. So I might go in a few more times before that cause I'm on a budget and I'd rather eat at home for my sake when it comes to saving my money.

Grab you a kids quesadilla while you can for under &6.50 cause next year ain't no telling where the price is going.

Blue Coast fish tocos rock! Really like this neighborhood restaurant. Lots of menu items to choose from that are made fresh. Pretty good selection of drinks including beer but I like their fruit tea even if it is way too sweet.

Big open dining area with a couple of big screen 📺. Plus an outdoor dining area. Has a fun California surfer dude motif with interesting graphics. They do some big time catering.

Blue Coast is a busy place but I've never had to stand in line very long and have alway found a table. Staff is helpful and fun to chat with. Did I say "I really like this place!"

I love this place! The food is always fresh & wonderful. The staff has always been so friendly, the place very clean. If you haven't met the owner, Lorri, you should definitely pop in during the day & tell her I recommended the place. She is so well organized & runs a great business.

This is a really good local burrito place. Burritos are assembled right in front of you. They also have a great salsa bar and free drink and chip basket refills. Try the baja fish.

I was gonna grab Five Guys then saw this place next door. Had to see what it was about. Got the shrimp taco basket, Baja style. Best chips and Salsa in Florence. The burritos are ok but the carnitas is super greasy and lately the chicken meat has gone down in quality. I found a piece of bone in my chicken today. Otherwise pretty good, cheaper than Chipotle.

The food is solid and honestly the customization is a little too out of hand to the point where it is being taken for granted by the local customers. I don't see how the major complaints are up-charges or portioning on kid meals when to even look at queso anywhere is an up-charge (see Krystals w/cheese). Do people really expect endless chips and regular portions of meat for kid meals when the lowest common denominator for edible food (McDonalds) does not give endless fries for a happy meal, let alone extra patties of beef without serious cost increases? Its pretty clear when you go in that the portions are color coded, and expecting extra meat when they already punch cards for kid meals and serve them to people well over 12 years of age is a bit on the silly side. Chipotle doesn’t have four dressings plus four salsas they only have two salsas… of course those are going to be up-charges. This is also the only place in the state that allows for fully custom quesadillas with ten freebie toppings with a final price around ten bucks. Im not even sure how thats allowed or profitable but power to them, you are doing a good job. Pizza places charge per topping, sub shops are $15-$20 for a footlong, and other competitors don't entertain that notion to begin with.

The food is really good at blue Coast burrito. One thing I will say that I do find annoying is that there’s a lot of up charging basically pay 10 bucks for a burrito or a salad. I can’t see why they’re gonna charge you $.99 to give you some dressing, I understand the dressing taste good but extra for all the little things I had I mean I must’ve heard that’s gonna be a little extra like three times as I went down that line for my salad or my burrito. I recommendation for the management don’t nickel and dime your customers.

Got a salad and they put my queso on the salad instead of the side like i usually do. I told them no big deal o will deal with it, I just need some queso on the side for my chips . They said that it would be extra for the queso lol. Well guess what they took my salad and threw it away and remade it and gave me the queso n the side . Ridiculous.

It was just okay this time around. The chips are awesome. The queso was very runny and had an unmelted chunk of cheese. The flavor of the queso was good. My food was bland. Definitely needed some seasoning. Charged 0.30 cents for a water. The TV was louder than normal. I can see why it is popular for kids and teenagers with unrefined palettes. The staff was very friendly.

I made this review after I went back to this restaurant a week later and tried again. When the week before after working 12 hours straight I needed to grab a quesadilla on my way home that I had called in specifically mentioning the allergy to capcasin alkaloids. I was not refunded. Nothing was remade, and I never complained. You hire negligent employees that don't care. That gentleman that made my food on Monday was so amazing that I changed my post. Yet, now I'm beyond furious because someone wanted to save face. You're absolute trash to me now. Saving an image instead of taking accountability for a mistake. Pitiful. Food allergies aren't a choice. They are serious life threatening complications. Do better.

They traveled all the way from Florence, AL to Tupelo, MS to serve us some amazingly tasty food. The pineapple salsa is one of the top three I’ve ever had! My only regret is that I don’t live closer so I could enjoy the food more often!

The music is too blasted loud!!! I mean the food is great but a couple time my order has been wrong on my fish tacos because I don’t think they could hear me or someone new was working I don’t know. Plus it’s either hit or miss on the attitude of the workers. I love the food but hate coming here. I would order online but it is hard to do so.

Very meh. Rice was undercooked and crunchy. Sour cream was so runny it was more like milk and they put on way way too much. Ground beef tasted old. Salsas were pretty good but the queso was incredibly bland. Service was good from Lorri and her team though. Just work on holding the food quality standards higher.

They do no give receipts. They give u the credit card receipt but not an itemized one. Like this meal costed this much, this drink is this much. I'm here right now Jan 7 at 407pm. I got a small burrito, a large burrito, a large chips and a queso. Costed 43 dollars. I would've liked to of seen a receipt though, that's kind of troubling. The girl put an entire scoop full of grease from the Carnitas meat in my burrito she didnt drain it at all.. it was pretty narley. We sat doen and i opened my foil to a soggy, wet, greasy, fallin apart burrito. I tried to go to the counter i could tell the manager was there but only a young staff came up to address the soggy burrito that was JUST made. He giggled and said, "well it soggy " well i know thats why i brought it back up and was hoping the manager wouldve came over as she saw me there holding this falling apart burrito guess she was too busy to deal with me. A young employee gave me another tortilla to wrap my greasy gross burrito in so that'd it be edible. Needless to say I won't be returning here.. ugh. 43$ wasted

It's ok. It's no Moe's. Kinda overpriced and they charge for every little thing. Even spicy ranch sauce costs extra!

Like I get charging for avocado and queso but sauces? Just crazy.

Also not very accessible for people with disabilities. I had to stand in line longer than is remotely comfortable for me with my back issues and couldn't find an alternate way to order.

Food is ok but nothing special. The meat isn't that flavorful.
They do have gluten free offerings tho and it's easy to eat vegetarian.

I got the Cabo Bowl. It's a bowl filled with rice, your choice of meat,beans and cheese as well as lettuce,sour cream and queso and a side of chips. It was around $12 if I remember correctly and it was definitely worth it.

First experience with this restaurant and still haven't gotten to try the food. My order of tacos looked like the tortillas were left uncooked and were so soggy that they literally fell apart to the point they couldn't be picked up and eaten when opening the foil to see which order belonged to who because none of the food was labeled. Our party also ordered two small chips with queso and two taco salads and we only received one bag of chips that was only partially filled.

Save the money and go to Taco Bell instead, you'll be equally disappointed but it's actually acceptable when you can feed a family of 4 for $10 instead of being $12 a plate.

Was clean, prompt service, fresh options for my burrito, staff were attentive and friendly. Burrito was way too big to finish in one sitting which of course I loved. The music could have been a bit lower cause it was hard to hear to order, that is not a complaint just an observation (I liked the music volume once I was eating). All the workers today should know they are doing a great job! Keep it up!

Ok. Been here twice, once on purpose and once with a friend, and don't get the high reviews!
Having grown up in California and been all over the Southwest, I'm pretty sure I have a grasp on really great Mexican/Latin food!
This is "soccer mom" Mexican food!
This is "Chipotle" with a surfer atmosphere!
If you're looking for good Mexican food, and you know what good Mexican food actually tastes like, skip this place!
It's high priced and if you know what actual Mexican food tastes like you will be disappointed!
Unless of course you think that "Chipotle" is actual Mexican food!

We had Blue Coast Burrito catered to our school and each paid $11 for 50 people, for a “guaranteed” meal of 3 small burritos per person. They gave us enough for 1 burrito, with very little toppings, for only 35 people. Around 15 people didn’t get to eat, and when we called, the person working didn’t care and said, “sorry.”
I do not recommend having Blue Coast catered.

We came in from out of town, not knowing what the experience would be. We are fans of Chipolte, and our experience here, blew Chipotle out of the water. The salsa bar was great (the pineapple salsa was delicious), the spicy ranch made the bowl, the guacamole was fantastic. I love the fact that question was included on the bowl (additional other places). I wish there was one in Atlanta, because I'd be a regular!!

Got nachos, talking over my food WITHOUT a mask. While sliding my food over, the employee was sliding it over and some green stuff had got on the bottom of the plate. Food was good but I think while they are making it could be a bit better.

Service was fine, but the food has went way downhill since the last time I had it when they first opened. One thing I don’t understand is how is the chicken grilled whenever it’s in a pan and water is on my burrito? It’s boiled. Not grilled. My burrito was lukewarm at best. Love this place! I dont get to come here often as I live out of town, but I always do when I get the chance. Food is tasty, the pineapple salsa is crazy good and the fruit tea is on point. Staff was friendly and quick, even on a busy rush. 10/10 would recommend.

Here are the facts people: Blue Coast Burrito has some good food. Their steak and chicken are cooked over a flame grill by talented cooks, but the restaurant's food safety practices are hardly comforting. Employees are not wearing masks during the pandemic, and that only begins to describe the sanitation issues at Blue Coast. The restaurant has a seemingly-perpetual fly problem, which the owners refuse to take seriously. Further, the owners' reputation as managers is not particularly positive. Many ex-employees of Blue Coast have horror stories ranging from electrical shocks to verbal abuse. From the consumer's point of view, BCB is definitely a worthwhile, if somewhat expensive, experience. However, patronizing BCB helps support owners with less-than-ethical management proclivities. It's your choice.

EDIT (04/11/21): Today, an employee refused me curbside delivery. I was missing my mask and didn't want to come in for my personal safety. Whomever I was speaking with on the phone gleefully informed me that the mask mandate had ended and that they "don't do masks here." Per usual, the cavalcade of morons BCB call "owners" don't take science or the health of their employees and customers seriously. Skip this spot.

The staff wouldnt allow me to get shrimp and go down the line. I asked very politely if I could just wait for the shrimp to be cooked and then go down the line... the lady was pretty rude and basically told me no...
Food was good, I ended up just getting chicken so I could go down the line and see what was going in the bowl.
Customer service was not very good.

Food was cold and not fresh. The restaurant was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Basic precautions were not being taken during the pandemic. I’d definitely recommend getting Mexican food somewhere else.

I always have the Baja fish tacos. I usually try to be neat while I'm eating, but had to admit defeat with these. That is something I will have to live with, because these are incredible, absolutely delicious. Only downside...I don't get by there often enough. If you get these, do yourself a favor, get the basket of 3, if you like fish, I'm pretty sure you will like these. As far as everything else my family is always smiles when we arrive and leave. Coming from the perspective of a foster and adoptive parent that's a win/win proposition.

I normally really love this place but I ordered a taco salad with steak for delivery and I got some kind of soupy mess with no lettuce? I’m not really positive what it is but it tasted okay...just not a salad and hard to eat. I don’t recommend the taco salad.
