La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

This was a cool place. The people are super friendly, and they have a nice big lot with easy in and out access. Nice environment, the food was fantastic. I even had a little inhouse Xtra hot sauce. Great flavor, not too hot. I had the benji. Tons of meats and the queso was awesome. The thing was huge. My dog got some as well. She went for a ride with me.
Overall, I like the place. Certainly an above and beyond type of place. With fun people and good food. 👍

La Hacienda has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants well over a decade!
You are sure to find great salsa, delicious food, and friendly faces!
My favorite menu items are the shrimp and steak taco salad, steak nachos, Baja fish tacos, and the flautas.
The Pina Colada is delicious as well.

Always love Laha!! My family and I have eaten here for years and we always enjoy it. They have great service and their food is always hot. If something isn’t correct, they always make it right. Their margaritas are also delicious!

Fantastic experience during Covid at this great little restaurant. The manager came out to speak with us and to tell us that they were shortstaffed but that we would be served as soon as possible. We were very pleased with the food and the salsa and the cheese dip. Great service and great atmosphere. Signs everywhere to encourage distancing- so much so we made a little joke about it. (See photos) Really enjoyed this restaurant!

We have ate at La Hacienda several times and always had great experience. We ordered to go tonight. I had requested corn tortillas with one meal and flour with the other bc I dislike corn tortillas. When picking up order, the hostess double checked to make sure all my order was there. I asked her are you sure there is a corn tortilla and a flour tortilla? She said YES! When we got home and distributed the food, there was 2 corn and 0 flour. Disappointed but starving I called to let the hostess know of the mistake but I was going to eat the corn bc I was hungry. She apologized and said flour was default and corn was special request so she assumed one was corn and other was flour. I told her it wasn't her fault and because I was hungry i would eat them. BUT WHEN I OPENED them to eat them.. they were literally in shredds. No way to eat them with my fajitas. So now I have to eat my fajitas with Chips and so did my husband bc his was the same way. VERY VERY DISSAPPOINTING. What could they do to the tortillas for them to do this. Definitely won't be ordering to go again.

Tried the Quesabirria here and it was delicious !! One of the best I’ve ever had. Margaritas were also very good. Service is top tier for mexican restaurants in Florence, AL. Angelica one of the new head managers is an incredible addition to the staff. Looking forward to returning again.

I was a little worried about coming here because the original owner sold the business about six months ago, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone loved Hugo, but his food wasn’t always the highest quality. The new owner is using more meat in their tacos and actual shredded chicken instead of diced. The mole sauce is more authentic. And the tacos are no longer watery. Hugo’s cooks never fully dried their lettuce. The prices might be a little higher, but the quality greatly makes up for it.

Don't go alone. They will clear your table while you're in the toilet. Sometimes it doesn’t smell right in there. Margaritas are made by the servers. If you want one ask for Ricky.

We always order the same thing and our meal cost $20 more than it used to due to all these extra fees that used to not be charged. The service is not near as good as it was when Hugo was there either. Something has changed here and the atmosphere is nowhere near what it use to be.

Horrible customer service. I ordered the chicken cheese and rice with extra cheese and less meat, have never been asked about a salad EVER and got home to dry rice and soggy lettuce that was starting to turn brown. Not to mention the single slice of tomatoe slapped in the middle of the tray and the "guacamole" that looks and tastes like my dog lost his lunch.

Called to complain and was hung up on before completing my sentence. Horrible.

Extra charge for onions and cilantro? Your tacos don't come with onion and cilantro? It was super confusing, first Mexican restaurant I ever got charged for onions and cilantro for my tacos. The guy who sat us was yelling at employees in Spanish. The burrito california was barley made into a burrito. Falling apart. I won't be returning here. One of the more MID joints here.

I don’t understand the glowing reviews at this place. The food was not good. We came for my birthday dinner. The food was very disappointing. I normally will give a place a couple tries but after spending over 100$ on food we didn’t even want to finish I don’t plan on going back. Our waiter was nice at least.

I have eaten at many restaurants like this all over the country and this leaves one a little disappointed in the food department. However, it is served very quickly....but seriously needs work on the variety of quality food. This place has So Much POTENTIAL and the folks who serve here are great!

Great lunch spot with good service and food. Draft beer was not as cold as I like but drinkable. I had the lunch special #2 with taco and chilli relleno. Would consider giving 5 stars but need to have a supper meal to do so. You should definitely give this place a try.

This was some of the best Mexican food I have had. The steak fajitas were marinated perfectly. The flavor was savory. The chips and salsa was a huge burst of flavor. The service was great, my tea glass was filled 4 times. The fried ice cream was perfectly done too. I recommend this place and I will be back.

The wife and I ate there several days ago and the food tasted terrible like it was soaked in chlorox or something. We didn’t eat it and left. The kids would not even eat it either. We got enchiladas and taco salad. The hamburger meat had something wrong with it.

Great friendly service. Food was typical Mexican food made for Americans. Two of us ordered street tacos they put the onions and cilantro in separate bowls instead of on the tacos. No big deal m Salsa was average chips below average.

First of all, I would like to say that your food is very good, and I have always loved everything I eat there. With one big exception. You have the very worst Chips in the United States. I have traveled from California through Mexico Texas all the way Tennessee Carolinas all the way north to New York And has Mexican food everywhere and everyone takes the tortilla and cuts it two times to make four chips out of each corn tortilla and then the deep fry. You only cut yours one time and make obnoxious hard chips. You buy the chips that are too thick, and then you only cut them once, which makes them terrible for dipping , would you please please please teach everyone to make the good four cut of the chip chips. That way they are very good for dipping in the salsa and then the beans and rice. Thank you very much and I hope this helps you with your chips, please please please change them , I love your restaurant

The positives: The service was good. The restaurant was clean.
The negatives: The food was not good. I don’t know if we just came on a bad night but several of us didn’t even finish our food. Very little flavor, extremely soggy tortillas, some of the meat tasted off. The chicken nugget kids meal with fries was the best thing on the table which is not saying much. I had heard good things and wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t good.

Terrible food, no flavor bad service. Chips are hard as a rock. Kids meals came cold and 'cheeseburger' had no cheese on it showed the server and he said ok, took the food away and refused to take it off the ticket. Ate this and 10 minutes later all 6 of us were fighting for the bathroom. Would give 0 stars but not possible. Save yourself the grief and stay away.

I will not be ordering from la hacienda in the future. They are constantly leaving stuff out.. and when you call to tell them they have the audacity to imply that you are lying about what they left out!
I do not lie! I have no reason to and they won’t be getting my business in the future.
Who knows if they tamper with food if they suspect you’re lying?
It’s ridiculous.
All I asked for was for mixed fajitas chicken and rice.. with no lettuce or sour cream and pico and guacamole on the side.
The no lettuce/no sour cream was so I could save my rice and beans that are left in the fridge without it getting nasty with lettuce and it obviously confused them because then they leave the whole thing out.
It’s one thing to leave something out, it’s a whole other ballgame to accuse a regular customer that they are lying instead of apologizing for YOUR mistake and making it right.
