Service is great. Food is VERY good quality, which is why you’ll find the portions are a bit smaller than what you’d be accustomed to in this area. It is absolutely worth paying for to experience authentic food, and cannot be compared to other Mexican places in Florence at all because it’s a totally different concept. Highly recommend their drinks too. Food was fresh and menu is well thought out. The guacamole trio is a must have. The sauces are very flavorful too. The upstairs has a great atmosphere too, so definitely don’t forget to check it out if you are dining downstairs.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Service was quick and accommodating. Food was top notch and the atmosphere was very welcoming and made you want to stay.

I had the pleasure of being served by Jacob, who made sure my experience was memorable and answered any questions I had. When it came to dessert, the manager, Edson, personally came to deliver it and see that everything was to my liking. I even had the privilege to speak to the owner, Carlos, who was active to make sure his guests were taken care of.

I was very impressed by the selection of tequila. You won't find what they have in a lot of places around here. As for the food, they've done a good job of leveling up the usual Mexican fare.

Overall, I was really impressed and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Nice night and good food, first time at this restaurant. We love the food, it's clean and the service was great. A little higher on price, but you get better quality food. We will come back.

Senor Tequila is a perfect spot for a delicious meal with friends! I highly recommend the quesabirria tacos (or really ANY tacos). Our server, Tamara, was so attentive. If you go during the holidays, get a tiny skillet cookie- so cute and so yummy. You’ll also get to enjoy the great Christmas decorations.

First starters the inside of this establishment is rather impressive compared to the street frontage.

Next the most interesting thing is that their menu is not your normal fair. It is quite complex for what you get even though the name is straightforward and understandable..

We started with the ceviche which was unusually light and aromatic and delightful for flavor. It doesn't have a red sauce.... It has a delightful aromatic I would say more of a compote fruit marinade..

I had the steak burrito...
It had lettuce and it had a nice seasoning with crema and an avocado sauce which was very delightful..

My wife had the skirt steak breakfast which was based on a large skirt steak cooked nicely with two eggs and a potato mixture that had chorizo.

We finished this off with the fruit dessert with guava ice cream.

The margarita was okay it wasn't that impressive but at least they have margaritas. They do have a good amount of different Mexican cervases.

I would say the most important thing about the establishment is the outstanding and attentive service I think the manager was over at our table at least five times with the server over issues of beer being non-existent in the keg or whatnot but overall it exceeded every expectation that I ever had in any other establishment.

Great atmosphere and hands down the best Mexican I've had. Nothing like the fast food cheap filler in the majority of Mexican restaurants in the area. Everything is super fresh and full of flavor. Our new favorite restaurant.

We have eaten here a few times now, and have been pleased every time. The drinks are great, but even better are the vegetarian tacos! Favorite Mexican restaurant in Alabama. Our server Jacob was also awesome!

Been there twice now and I’ve always got sat immediately. The food is very good but very small portions, also pricey. Chips and salsa are not free, there is one size cheese dip that’s $8 and it’s a small (it is good though). The chips are thicker than normal but good because they’re different. The atmosphere is what you’re paying for. The portion of food is a little weak to the price you’re paying for it. The tacos are about 2 bites, no sides included and they range $11-14 and there’s only 3 of them. The drinks from the bar are also good but also high, about $12-16 for a cocktail. The picture I added is the child’s plate cheese quesadillas, which are the same size as the tacos! Second time I went with some friends and there was a hair in one of their margaritas, which was $10! They brought out a new one in the same color glass her other one, so she did not drink it and they didn’t even offer to take it off her bill. For myself, I got a small cheese dip, an appetizer as entree, and 3 drinks and it was $50.

We were going to our favorite Mexican restaurant but they were closed on sundays. We came here and the food and service top
notch. Warm chips and yummy salsa. We had the chimichanga trio . Next time we would do two shrimp and one beef. Wry fresh and piping hot. Loved the black beans . By far one of the best Mexican meals we have had in a long time . Can’t wait to return 😋

Quesabirria tacos are a great! Great margaritas and queso. Wonderful environment- not too loud - just right atmosphere. Tamara was our server and she is awesome. Very helpful and very knowledgeable plus very kind and sweet. Absolutely will be back.

We came on a Sunday evening. It was a calm and inviting atmosphere and the kids loved the colorful paintings and lights. Jacob was our server and he was friendly and kept our drink refills ready before we even asked. Food and plates were hot and savory. And if you like cheese dip, this is a great place to boot. We ordered steak burritos and steak and carnitas tacos a la cart. All of it was delicious. Look out for the spicey guacamole sauce though! It’s savory but got me by surprise! 😆

Brought friends here from out of town and it was a terrible experience. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant when we were there and it took almost 90 minutes for our food and when it came out, everything was cold, except my husbands dish, and it was something completely different than what he ordered. When he told them, they offered to replace it but he chose to keep it bc of the length of time it took. And they charged us for it and it was $10 more than what he originally ordered! And when I mentioned all of this to the assistant manager, he acted like he could have cared less. Never again

Great for someone who likes a well rounded flavor pallet, the flavors are well thought out, not over powered by cheap seasoning! Everything tastes very fresh and intentional! I got take out and it was still displayed beautifully, I am excited to dine in!

This is the best place to get authentic Mexican food and as well the highest quality Tex Mex options in the Shoals! I love the authentic enchiladas! The drinks are wonderful as well! All of the cocktails are beautiful and taste great. I would recommend Senor Tequila to anybody living in or visiting the shoals! You won’t be disappointed!

I have ate here 5 or 6 times now and experience is always 5 stars. I get something different each time and it has all been so fresh and seasoned well. The steak and chicken both taste like they are marinated and slow cooked. The restaurant is so beautiful too. My only complaint is the drinks are on the smaller side but are pricey. The portions of food are good. It is pricier but you pay for quality and experience.

Tamara was our server and she was terrific. The specialty guacamole was a seasonal one with pumpkin and it was amazing. The ceviche was really fresh and the best I’ve ever had. All of our servers recommendations were spot on and she was so helpful and nice. It was the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time and everything exceeded expectations.

A group of us went, we waited an hour and a half for our food. 3 of us didn't even get their food. When we did get our food tasted like it came out of the refrigerator, cold! Way over priced! Don't waste your time, go on down to Rosie's!

Service was bad. Very bad. We sat down at 5 and ordered cocktails. Mine arrived around 5:25. Hubby's cocktail arrived at 6:20 with the check. Overpriced and small appetizer portions. There are better Mexican joints for half the price. Manager seemed unconcerned that a drink went missing for an hour.

The food is different than most Mexican places around. It was authentic (even down to the homemade tortillas) and very flavorful! You can tell they put in the work to make everything special. It is a tad pricey,but I feel it's worth it for their hard work. You definitely need to give it a try!

I got their tacos and they were fantastic. I think they have the best margs in town too. It’s a really good upscale Mexican spot. The interior looks great too. It has a nice ambiance. I’ll be back soon!

Service from the bartender was awesome but a margarita was over $10. Sat in a booth with my friend when I felt a little tickle on my arm. I have longer hair so I brushed my hair behind my shoulders only to find that there was a bug crawling on me. I understand that where there’s food, there will be bugs. It being my first time here; I’m discouraged from coming back.

Florence has an abundance of Tex-Mex restaurants, Señor tequila is the first and only fine dining Mexican cuisine you will find! The tastes, smells and welcoming feeling brings a warm sense of my childhood growing up in a Mexican household. It doesn’t get more authentic than this. Give it a try if you want a little taste of Mexico.

Went to eat during their first opening night! The atmosphere was very different than anything in Florence, especially for "Mexican" food. Once exploring their menu a bit more you see that it's carefully crafted and unique to anything we've seen!
I went for dinner and had the Salmon and it was paired with coconut rice & I can for sure say that I'll be back!

I love Mexican food but I was tired of it since every Mexican restaurant out here in Florence are pretty much the same, but this place is reaaaally good, a little pricey but I think it's worth it, definitely coming back, new favorite
