La Casita Fresh Mex Grill

There's some pretty good food here. It's definitely more mainstream Mexican - nothing is particularly spicy, flavors tend to be more subtle and harmonious. Also, everything I've sampled so far has been freshly made, including the corn tortillas and all the salsas. The mole appears to be home made as well! It's a light colored version without the heavy chocolate influence or a lot of nuttiness. The chicken is also served on the bone and is super tender.

The street tacos are pretty tasty as well, and I heartily recommend the cabeza (cows head), it's super tender and beefy.

With excellent sweet tea and good service, it's a winner.

Finally found a place to eat outside of Gulf Shores with great food and very little wait. Stopped here with my family after our softball games down the road at the Foley Sports Complex. Small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great Mexican food. The street tacos were excellent! Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Dale and I stopped in for the first time. We are visiting in Magnolia Springs.(This place was near by in Foley right up
the road from Magnolia Springs) We really enjoyed our lunch. Service and food was great. My avocado dish was great! Loved the sweet tea too. My husband liked the Taco Salad. Tasty! Really enjoyed the nachos and the good tasting sauce they give you before you order.

Oh my goodness, I was telling my husband, "I want Mexican food, but I don't want some overpriced, glitzy place where the food is just so-so." And then we found La Casita, and it was PERFECT. Service was exceptional – so friendly and prompt! The food was delicious – LOVED the salsa and the thin, crispy, warm chips, and the street tacos (steak and pastor) were 💯! We went with our kids, and we all cleaned our plates except for my son who begged to take it home to eat later; he was just full. And the prices were so reasonable. Can't remember the last time the 4 of us sat down and ate for in the $30 range. 🤯 We don't live here, but we visit often, and we'll be back!!

This the place to go for Mexican food. We have tried several in the area that were very disappointing. This place will not. We are new to the area, 2 years now and this is the first Mexican restaurant we have found that didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and flavorful. So. Many restaurants in the area have blay, no flavor food that seems like warmed up TV dinners. Not here. Also not over hot sauced, some places seem to think Mexican food is just food with hot peppers on it, this is not the case here. Definitely worth the visit to try. Portions sizes are good and prices are reasonable. Very friendly staff and easy going atmosphere. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. This our new go to for Mexican food.

This restaurant had the most tasteful food I've had in a long time! The chips were so light and fresh, they were great for me to be able to eat, especially with teeth problems. I didn't have to soak them in the salsa for a change. The atmosphere was really good. Service was good as well. It wasn't like great over the top, but good enough for what we needed.
We were able to get our order as we wanted it. For instance, my sister wanted her chicken on the side because she and I were gonna share our plates 1/2 & 1/2, and I don't eat meat. They had no problems with doing that. Will def 💯 go back if I ever get the chance!!! For the vegetarians out there, there was a bean chimichanga that was to die for! It was so amazing 👏 Now of course, this is all imo (in my opinion)

This place is kinda hidden but trust me you want to go because the food was so beyond fresh and amazing! The quesabarilla was to die for and the fried ice cream and three layer cheesecake made me want to cry in the best way🙌🏼 my fiancé and i will most definitely be going back. Nothing not to like here! Food was fresh, service was great, surroundings clean and well lit. I had the lunch special #1, wife had the lunch Chimichanga with chicken. Both were well presented. Chips and salsa were both great. Will definitely be back.

We had some time to kill, we stopped into La Casita to see how their tacos stack up. Before we even ordered, I noted how friendly the service was - super nice & sweet waitresses were super attentive.
I ordered the asada taco & birria dipping taco - and holy moly. I love birria but I get them as a treat, so I usually base my taco ratings on the standard taco. I will say that my asada taco could very well be the best taco in Baldwin County (so far). It's definitely in top 3. My better half said her pastor taco was excellent as well.
Important to note that La Casita also offered lengua, tripa, and cabeza tacos... It's not my favorite, but anywhere offering lengua knows what they're doing.
Can't wait to go back to try more.

So glad we decided to try this place out last min, everything was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door throughout the entire stay here. The service was fantastic, (I wish I knew her name) she interacted with our children, gave great suggestions on dessert, she was super attentive but not hovering over us. Our waitress was smiling while working, the other waitress stopped and talked with our boys (about lizards 🦎 😀) she was also in great spirits while working. The owner was in the kitchen when we arrived, as we were dining he came out to the dining room and greeted each table as he toted a buss tub and helped clean the tables were needing to be re-set. He was also in great spirits and I think it was very kind of him to come help the waitresses clean the dining room. The food was so delicious 😋. I had chicken flautas, my husband had Carne asada, and our boys both had quesadillas. Then we all enjoyed sharing a delectable dessert called xango 🤤. 10/10 I recommend this cute little spot, and we will certainly be back! P.S the cheese dip and salsa were amazing 👏

The owners and staff are absolutely amazing. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I get takeout often, and they are just as friendly when I'm grabbing dinner to go as they were dining in. I've been several times and have never been disappointed. It's a must try if you haven't yet.

The wife and I shared a meal here and they have really good food. I ordered the enchilada dinner and my wife had the chimichanga. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will try to make it back before we head out of town. The medium top shelf margarita was a little expensive but if you go on Wednesday it's half price😉👍💯

Stopped here; long time since we went by but under the new ownership the food, service and restaurant were very nice. The people were pleasant and it a cozy little place to go and have a date night without having to wait for an hour or longer to get into the tourist restaurants along Hwy 59, this is on the road that takes you to Magnolia springs, great little Mexican restaurant and like I said food, service and people were excellent.

Service was top notch. It was all hands on deck it was very busy.
Establishment was very clean.
Salsa was also tasty. Although its a personal preference I like my guacamole chunky not smooth. It had a yogurt type consistency.
We shall return. Get there early.

This is the only Mexican restaurant in or arround Foley that I would recommend. Our lunch was was reasonably priced and the Chili Relleno and Taco's were excellent. It is a little noisy and the music is a bit too loud but that will not stop me from returning. They do not serve liquor yet but they have applied for their liquor license. If you like Mexican food give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Food! Everything was hot and fresh. The service was excellent. My wife and I had the number one lunch combo, and we left stuffed. Happy to see Juan finally running his own place. In case you are a local, the owner of La Casita was once the long-time Manager of Vallarta's in Foley. Vallarta's has not been the same since he left. We will definitely be back again to enjoy some more of the tasty menu. 5 Stars
