Stopped off at 2pm. Greeted by a very nice man and seated immediately. After our drink order we received chips and salsa. Salsa very good, would be nice if tort chips had been warm. Ordered shrimp quesadilla and it was very good. The shrimp were nicely grilled. Side of guacamole was fresh and delicious. Young lady who cashed us out friendly and professional. I reside in Texas and will tell you Foster’s Mi Pueblito can hang with any of the Mexican restaurants in the DFW area.

My wife and I go here very often, all their staff is great. Frank the manager is about as nice as they come. He always comes and checks to see if everything is to the liking. He goes around to see most everyone there . Waiters and waitresses are also great. Fantastic atmosphere here. I say if you have a chance stop by and give them a try. Their Taco Tuesday is also a great time to visit. My wife loves their Margaritas also. If you drink two glasses get the picture of margaria instead , get a better deal because you get more. Thanks again Frank the sharp dressed man for having such a great place to eat out.

Today received the worst experience ever! Ordered food today and was overcharged asked for receipt couldn't even get one young man at the cash register act like he didn't know how to pull the order back up. Usually the bowls for the bama bowl or the #35 be a medium size good size bowl. If you have a young young puppy the bowl is perfect for that a mini bowl. I been a customer for so long to be having a issue like that. Eventually they fixed the order but they really didn't want to honestly.

We drove from Moundville to eat here due to pictures they posted online of their menu items. Let me assure you that the photos do not represent what you will be served. My wife and I both love Mexican food. We both agree this has to have the worst restaurant we have been to in many years. Service was slow with only 5 occupied tables. The restaurant inside looked nothing like the pictures showed. There are many mexican restaurants that are closer with better food. Will not return.

The food here is not good compared to any other Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa county. The service is fast and friendly, but that’s the end of the positives. Something I really want to share are the prices. First, they add 10% as a service fee at least on Tuesdays (not sure if that is every other day too). Here are some menu comparisons:

3 shredded chicken tacos? $10.15
Jalapeños- $7.25
Vera Cruz - $6.75

2 chicken quesadillas with lettuce/sour cream: $17
Jalapeños: $10.25
Vera Cruz: (with rice!) $10.95

Side of rice: $7!!
Jalapeños: $3.50
Vera Cruz: $2.50

If this isn’t enough to make you stay away or simply drive into Tuscaloosa then I hope you have a better experience than I have had.

The prices are never same, each employee charges you differently for the same dish. And they now charge a takeout fee. Each item is taxed. Which should be illegal. Crooked business practice is what it is. The residents of Fosters need to make them change their ways, by not patronizing their place of business. The food isn’t all that great either.

I went in on 8 30 23 evidently they no longer require their wait staff to speak english or even understand english. They must be hiring right from the border. Illegals i mean. They usually have the best fish tacos its only reason i stop being from NC. That and to see my friend. After telling this idiot waitress a dozen times i wanted unsweet tea a fish tacos she dissappeared and another waitress showed up to tell me they didn't have sweet tea i orderd unsweet, finally i and my friend just left and went somewhere else. The huge manager said nothing nor tried to get it fixed. Not sure if i will go back. I dont believe the normal manager would put up with what happen

IF YOU HAVE NOT VISITED IN A WHILE... YOU WILL BE MISSING OUT !! NEW MANAGEMENT'!!! The variety of food!!! I saw sushi on the menu as well as many other dishes to pick from ! I tried J8 on sushi menu and it's sooo good !! Everytime we have gone it's been GREAT. I will say before this management change it was not my fav place..NOW LOL I'm actually waiting on hubby to return with our call in to take out!!
Last couple of times we went .... well the word must be out because the ppl were coming in and they had a full house!
The margaritas are awesome BTW!! Again new manager and great staff !! HAPPY CUSTOMER 😊 Again FROM manager to all the staff .... they are very polite and helpful 😊

OK, this unique restaurant has great Mexican food and some very unique sushi options. Yes, you read that correctly, sushi in a Mexican restaurant. I couldn't be more excited about this combination, by far my two favorite food categories.

They start you off with free chips and salsa. The chips have been fresh and hot every time we've visited. The salsa is a standard tomato based salsa with a little kick to it. It's one of the better salsas I've gotten in a restaurant in recent memory.

The tacos have been fresh and delicious each time I've gotten them. I always get Al Pastor street tacos and these are very similar to the tacos I get from a food truck in El Paso, TX. (That's my golden standard for street tacos) The rice and beans are tasty and fresh as well.

Now for the sushi, it's up there with some of the better sushi restaurants I've visited. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be so good. They have unique rolls that include ingredients like, crawfish, hot cheetos, or jalapeños. Very unique combinations that, even while reading the menu, are kind of hard to imagine tasting good. But each one we've gotten so far has been amazing. Our current favorites are the "J13" "Don´t touch me, eat me" and the "J4" "Mi Pueblito VIP Roll". Both are absolutely delicious. All of the wait staff has always been very friendly. We'll definitely be returning, repeatedly.

The Tortilla chips were fresh & warm, the salsa homemade and tasty. The entries were authentic and satisfying. The mango margaritas are yummy! Definitely worth the trip!

The food is good, it’s not better than my favorite Mexican restaurant but I do give it a 7/10. I’ve only eaten inside once and the service was good as well. I usually get mine to go for lunch at work. The prices are reasonable.
Update to previous post: December 2022
I brought my family back here for dinner, we we had been out and returning home, did not want to cook. Long story short, the food was good but, we had bad service from our waitress and we showed it in our tip (small tip). The next day, I get a text alert my total had been updated to an amount I did not authorize or sign for on my receipt. When I returned to the restaurant, I was told a lie that the computer automatically changed me18% gratuity. I was mot having it. I’m not going to say don’t go there, I am going to say, GET AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!!!

This place is great! Taco Tuesday can get pretty crowded at times, but that being said it's hard to beat the prices so it makes sense. It is a fun family owned restaurant with a great atmosphere, plenty of TV for everyone, and pleasant music as well. Hope these guys stick around!

Came in last Tuesday evening .after ordeing a margarita and chicken nachos the strangeness began . I was asked if I was ready to order 4 times in 10 minutes .the nachos arrive chicken chips and cheese no tonoatoes or lettuce Etc not as advertised .My date arrived we sat at a table and again we were asked 4 or 5 times in 10 minutes if we were ready to order .We decided on dinners ordered the went out to have a smoke .When we came back our table had been bussed ! Even though the manager pretty much made it right I did not see any of the other patrons being almost pushed out the door like this was really strange I've been here 7 or 8 times don't know if I will go back .

If I could give this place a zero I would… now I don’t usually write bad reviews but I’ve had enough… every time we have either ate in or got a to-go order it has been nasty. Tonight we just got a take out and our food was nasty, cold, and EXTREMELY salty… on top of it all it was pretty priced… and at this point I’m just letting everyone know that you don’t always get what you expect from this restaurant… this will be the last time I’m eating this nasty place….

They have the TINIEST Margaritas in Town. Be careful! Don’t get your hopes up for a good Maragarita because the one we had was disapointing. That being said, the food was Very Good! It was hard to give them more than 3 stars because of the Poor Drink which tasted like Dilited Lemon Water.

I was there in that restaurant in passing I ordered tacos to take away and it turns out that when I opened one of the orders it came without meat, only the tortilla and to finish it the other two orders came with almost no meat and no vegetables, this was definitely a joke, not I could claim that I only bought food in passing I was traveling in the car

Nice place, not kitschy. Very friendly staff. Good speed, good sweet tea. Standard prices. Average chips and salsa. Fajita salad not impressive at all, just underseasoned meat/veggies on shredded iceberg. Above average thick chicken quesadilla. Huevos rancheros was just 2 fried eggs (good ones) besides rice/beans, just an unimpressive presentation. Perfectly acceptable meal, just nothing to set it apart.
