Best Mexican food of my life! The portions were truly titanic - the owner proudly told us that no one has ever eaten the entire burrito supreme and I was no exception.
The owner was so enthusiastic and made us feel like we made his day and he made ours with the excellent food. The selections of special home made hot sauces were great as we're all fans of the heat, and the horchata is a must!!

Tore the chimichanga apart and the pinkest chicken I have ever seen in my life was in there. Along with those nasty little veins you see in raw chicken. I had no issue at all with the server and having worked in restaurants for a long time know it was absolutely not her fault. She was kind took the food back and removed it from the bill. So I ate a few bites of what looks to me like completely raw chicken. Beware when coming here at least check your food.

I drove from Houston and hadn't eaten the entire trip, so I was desperately hungry when I arrived at my hotel. I'm so glad this Mexican restaurant was nearby because I was craving a good, cold margarita on the rocks (with Tajin rim). I ordered beef enchiladas, guacamole, and fried ice cream for dessert. The food was good--almost as good as the taquerias back in Texas--and everything was served with a smile. The decor is colorfully festive which goes well with the beach/coastal vibe of this Gulf Coast area, similar to Galveston Island back home.

Cantina de la Luz catered our lunch with a taco bar - half authentic/half American and it was sooo delicious! Every single person at our retreat raved about how good the food was. It was also a great value for the price and we’re supporting a local business! Win win. We will definitely be back!

Went in there 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they were so nice about taking my order, even with me offering to just one back the next day. I’m from out of town, and the food portions are so great at a fair price point. The food came out hot and it didn’t look thrown together how some places do when you go that close to closing time. It was creating appreciated. The food was delicious.

Me and my family drove from Kansas city, Missouri, and it was our last day and wanted to go eat and found this mexican restaurant and LOVED it, the owner was out talking to us even tanked us for coming out. Any time I travel, I always like to try something new no matter where I go. I ordered my food via door dash. My order was prepared, picked up, ans timely delivered like within 10 mins of ordering. Shout out to the professional door dash lady also. Any who! Let's get into the issue at hand. My exodus experience was very mediocre. My order was very simple. I ordered two chicken tacos, & a regular queso. Fast forward, when I tell you the chicken was drier than the desert itself. It most definitely was. I mean the chicken was very over cooked, and mind you I was starving. Very disappointed. Oh the queso was ok, however the chips were beyond stale.

My family and I went out for dinner tonight and had hands down the best Mexican food we have had in a long time! The owner came up to us with his personal touch and made us feel right at home. You can tell this food is made from scratch. Our server Abraham was very attentive and a breath of fresh air. He made great recommendations and checked on us through out our meal to make sure we were taken care of and we can’t wait to come back!

called to order takeout last night at 825pm, and was back home in my pjs with a giant pile of DELICIOUS food before 9 like WOW. Birria tacos and our steak chimichanga meals were awesome, and even packed up SO thoughtfully everything nice and meticulously separated. plus, all that and a giant bag of fresh chips and really really good salsa, cost the same as one entree and some egg rolls last time we ordered Chinese delivery that's a no brainer we will be back soon and often!!!

My 1st time eating here since they began serving chips & salsa with the meal. The salsa wasn't the best, and the spice on the beef was very strong. We eat Mexican food 1-2 times per week. Our server was very kind and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Check the menu before you go: 2 tacos, beans, and rice are $16.

Ordered delivery from Cantina La Luz. The service fees on delivery add up. We were home with colds and too tired to go out or cook. The delivery and communication was excellent and our food arrived in 25 mins. Portions were ample. Food was fresh and tasty. Very nice chicken tamale with plenty of chicken, fluffy masa, yum. Mexican style steak taco was authentic and good with marinated steak well seasoned but a little too salty. Supreme beef burrito was big enough for 2! Good flavor. Various condiments, salad, rice and beans fresh and tasty. Arrived hot. Highly recommend.

Food here tastes just like it came right out of a can! No flavoring no seasoning! Queso dip tasted like it had sour cream in it. The chips in the salsa was probably the only good thing! The steak burrito was very bland hardly any seasoning! Service however was amazing! Our server made sure that we had our drinks etc. The rice also tastes like it came straight out of a bag. No flavoring just orange!

Small portion sizes for price. My Quesidilla was Taco sized. Picture is of my Quesidilla. Steak was too salty to eat. Was told it was "Guatemalan style" whatever that is. Queso was cold. Would not eat here again.

I went in the quiet hours (around 2pm) and the service was really good and friendly, taste of food is great like a good home made meal and prices are very reasonable compared to other places in the area. The enchiladas were terrible! When I told her- she said well they were cooked this morning and walked away and brought us our ticket..with the enchilada still on the ticket - she could tell I didn’t eat them!! no apology or anything! Very rude!!!!

Jasmine was absolutely wonderful! The chips, queso and salsa were good, and the top shelf margarita was spot on! Would definitely come back!

We were a party of six, we were sat immediately. Service was prompt! The owner and all the servers were extra friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it here. Quesobirra tacos were amazing!

Dont let the location fool you. Its amazing food. The menu isnt that big but what they have is amazing! The prices are great too. Will definitely be back.

Our group had a great time and excellent food. The pomegranate margaritas were excellent and the food delicious. The manager/owner was friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend and will be back to enjoy the experience again.

Don’t let the shopping mall fool you. This restaurant has truly amazing food with the authentic Mexican dishes and even some new fusions with their amazing Birria ramen. The owner is so friendly and our waitress, Surely, was amazing through and through. This place is a hidden gym you don’t wanna miss.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. This was by far the worst place I have ever been too. The service sucked and we had to pay $16 for a tip when it wasn't even deserved. The beef is chili, the cheese dip was hard when it come out. My kids got a side of rice with Cheese dip and they charged extra for the cheese dip and we were not notified about that while ordering. The cheese was so cold on the rice it was solid and we could pick it up off the top of the rice. HORRIBLE! Please do not waste your time or money here.

We brought a group of cheerleaders to cheer camp at The Beach Club and we ordered catering for 30 people. THE SERVICE, STAFF AND FOOD WAS AMAZING! Gary was so accommodating to our needs and the absolute friendliest. The feedback from the cheerleaders and coaches were all positive and “they have the best cheese dip” and “we went back for seconds and thirds”. Thank you so much for making our dinner so AWESOME! Recommend 5/5!
