I've been here all week for work and this is the best place that I have found.
Good all the way around, no complaints!
Highly recommend the Flaming Cheese Fajitas!
Also the homemade hot sauce is 🔥🔥!
And a lunch buffet!💯

We had the buffet, and I sampled everything in sight. It was all good. I did look at the menu that had many unique offerings i had not seen in other Mexican restaurants that were reasonably priced.

extremely bland food & cheese dip.. steak was cold & when she brought it out she said it was a hot plate, so it was very obviously warmed up in the microwave. enchilada sauce was absolutely terrible & so was the chicken. pretty okay service for the most part though.

A quaint litte Mexican Restaurant in a strip mall. I received a friendly greeting as I walked in and shown to a table. With only one exception, I don't discuss the seating in an eatery, but it is worth noting the chairs here are fine, but not conducive to hanging around, just hard wood without cushion (the booths were cushioned). As I always do, I request some hot sauce to jazz up the salsa, but never received it, The salsa didn't seem to be bottled, it was quite chunky and ok for a plain-no heat salsa. If you have ever read any of my Mexican restaurant reviews, you know my first meal is always a chimichanga. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga. They were delicious, the perfect blend of cheese, shrimp and bell peppers filled them. The shrimp was grilled to perfection and had a slightly smokey flavor.

Now, you are reading the above and wondering why the four stars and not five. Well, the lack of hot sauce when I requested it there should be a bottle of it on the table with requesting it), no tea refill, and combined with one paper napkin are enough to remove a half star, but I don't have that option. In the waitress's defense, she did check on me, but I didn't complain about the hot sauce or napkins.

Great food, really nice staff.
The atmosphere inside is really relaxing, and at 2 pm there wasn't many people in the restaurant.
Staff tried to help with a milk/cheese free meal and offered to remove any cheese from the order, but I had already picked one.
Pollo loco, a sweet pineapple topped grilled chicken was great, could have added a bit more rice and beans to the plate but it was filling.

Got to try the lunch buffet, adding a star.
Review for the second visit:

Got there just after they opened and only had to wait a minute or two for the rest of the buffet to be set out.
They could add a few more dishes to the buffet but what they had was good.
Staff was very friendly, topped up our water and grabbed dirty plates quickly.
They need to get fresh tortillas out quicker. But we got there 4 minutes after they opened.
I noticed my favorite dish too late but still got some and stuffed myself: "chorizo and eggs" was just right, not too many eggs

Really love this place the atmosphere is great, hasn't been crowded at all when we were there, the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

We'll keep coming back here until things change!

I've been coming here for several years now. The service has been consistently good, and they've always treated me well. Their salsa is always fresh, and I like their seafood dishes. (I can't speak for the buffet, since I always order from the menu here.)

With so many alternatives in Guntersville and nearby Albertville, some great and others not so great, Los Cabos is good quality for the price.

Honestly a stop I made plenty working down there. The owners are amazing, even during covid struggling. I had an issue with my card happen while out of town and they were kind enough to wait. Incredible lunch buffet, and amazing service from the servers.

Do not recommend. Lunch buffet was out of everything. No taco shells, no soup bowls. Empty dishes. You have to pay extra to get chips and salsa. The tea was spoiled so I asked for water instead. Restroom out of paper towels. Maybe they were having a bad day.

I am guilty of reading this book by its cover. Sad to say it took me 7 years to eat here. Now im hooked. The mexican tacos are my favorite. But I havent had a meal that wasnt delicious hot and fresh. If I had to nit pick on anything it would be the queso it was thick and good. Just lacked in any flavor the few times we were there. I cant wait to have lunch here because I want to try the homemade tamales, they sell out before dinner. And the in house hot sauce is wonderful spicy and loaded with flavor. My wife loves the Pineapple orange chicken

I've been coming here for several years now. The service has been consistently good, and they've always treated me well. Their salsa is always fresh, and I like their seafood dishes. (I can't speak for the buffet, since I always order from the menu here.)

With so many alternatives in Guntersville and nearby Albertville, some great and others not so great, Los Cabos is good quality for the price.

Had the buffet. All the food was cold. Said something to the waitress and she stated more food will come out. Waited for over an hour nothing changed . Would not recommend this place .

Absolutely do not recommend whatsoever. Margaritas, decent, from the bottle.
Queso? Milk.
Chips? Murr.
Waitress? Angry
Enchiladas? Enconceivable
Fajitas? You mean steamed onions?

Went for lunch, had the buffet and water 8.99, most of it was cold. When paid was told 22.85, 8.99 x 2 =17.98 + 9% tax 1.62 total should of been 19.60, but was charged 22.85, I guess they like to take advantage of seniors.

Great service! Very nicely decorated. Great music, plenty of TVs. First Mexican restaurant I've actually had a dinner that WAS Spicy. Very flavorful Pollo picoso.

We've gone to Cabo for many years. They make the best guacamole they call Abuela's Guacamole which they make fresh. We get it every time. Other favorites are the Chile Rellenos.

Aside from the change in hours being now closed sunday and monday. I love this place. I have been a regular for years. However, they are now shut down on the days I went the most. So sadly I'll be seeing a lot less of this place it has a great staff, food is more authentic, and the salsa picosa is spot on. Eat here if you truly enjoy good mexican.

Pretty standard Mexican joint with slightly above average prices.
Friendly staff, typical atmosphere, mediocre food.

In all fairness we did come in about 30 min before closing time (which is something I try to avoid doing having experienced that from the other side) but we were from out of town and really hungry.
Being a vegetarian I was excited to see something more than the typical burrito and quesadilla options on the menu so I ordered the slightly overpriced option of steamed veggies (all the good stuff not just peppers and onions) and rice. At Almost $10 I had high expectations... But was really disappointed when the small oval plate arrived and had only a few veggies on a small bed of rice... And there wasn't half the veggies the menu claimed there would be. When I asked the friendly waitress she checked with the kitchen and found out that they were out of some of the produce and substituted beans instead. The yellow and green beans they added did not agree with the dish in my opinion and definitely didn't replace broccoli/cauliflower. I did eat the dish the way it was prepared but thought that the overall value was horrible.

Rude Rude Rude!!! Claimed they couldn't make a chicken quesadilla or burrito. Charged me for drinks I did not drink and cheese dip I did not eat. My family and I literally walked in, tried to order and walked out.

The best Mexican food in North Alabama! The food was served hot and their guacamole is so fresh. My wife loves their cheese sauce. Their buffet is also delicious and priced well. You need to try this place!

I go to cabos often during the times 11am- 1pm and the buffet is great... it's stocked full at these times.. I have noticed when I come in after these times they are mostly low on buffet because there are not soo many customers but they ask me if there is anything I would like for them to make. They need to manage just in waitressing.

Worst customer service. And prices !!! My friend got charged $15 for chicken cheese and rice. That’s ridiculous. I think she even got a water! And the second time I came the buffett was so empty !! And my other friend ordered off the lunch menu , they got it wrong ....... and literally wouldn’t fix it!!!! They argued with her and the menu was right .... I was shocked. She just ate it anyways because she didn’t want to argue.

Horrible service! Ordered off the lunch menu they got my order wrong and when I told them I wanted it changed they made a huge ordeal and told me it would be extra. It took a act of Congress to get a refill and their buffet was like a empty vessel. And their salsa tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes. Los Arcos & el Camino is way better!! Do not go here. When we checked out the lady actually argued when my friend just tried to nicely ask them to lower the price because we paid for something we didn’t get. And of course .... still had to pay. And the menu was right there in front of her face and she still argued . So we paid and left! And said we will never go back! Beware!!!!

Terrible service. Waited over 15 min for someone to even take our drink order. Chips and salsa came out With the food, not before. We had to go hunt for someone to get a refill on the paltry basket of chips. The best part is there was a grand total of about 15 people in the entire restaurant. The only redeeming quality is the food was at least a 6 out if 10. We will not be visiting this establishment again.

Very good food.. great waiter that help us have a good experience and the chips to ride over till the food got there was very full filling. The place was not that much to eat at. My family and I will be coming back to this place because of the excellent service and price. They also made sure to tell us have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving. I would recommend this place to people that have never tried it just because of the staff being friendly and making you smile and having a better day. It was a great experience!!
