It survives only because their is not much else. Take out was awful. Wateryrice and mushy. Taco I asked to be wrapped separate bc of travel. They threw it on top and beans soaked it. Shell was nasty and meat inside was old tuff and tasteless. Used the other plate is a chimi. Which WAS THE NASTIEST WRONG MADE CRAP MY POOR HUSBAND HAS EVER HAD TO EAT. SHAMEFUL JOB'S. THEY DON'T CARE ANYMORE. IT'S GONE WAY DOWN HILL. THAT IS NOT A CHIMICHANGA. YOUR FOOD IS SHAMEFUL. THIRTY DOLLARS PLUS LATER. I ASKED FOR A EXTRA SALSA. DIDN'T GET IT. JUST PLAIN IGNORE YOUR REQUEST. Has only become worse. Lazy cook. ZERO STARS IF I COULD. THANKS FOR NOTHING. WORST FOOD EVER.

The restaurants health rating is 85. The women's bathroom is nasty and smells of sewage. My children never received their plate after asking three times. Their plate was taken to the table behind us (and sat there for about 10 min) and the server took it from that table directly to ours. We asked for a new plate which only took 5 minutes to fix. The price is good and the workers where nice and they didn't charge for the children plate but I'm not sure we will go back.

I loved it, lupes dip is absolutely amazing. I couldn't stop eating it even when my entree came out. The entree was great, plenty of food for the price and friendly people. I love this place, please if you get the chance visit them. It's great, and try the lupes dip.

My husband and I ate lunch at Lupes in Hanceville Alabama today ~ my husband and i were very disappointed in the food ~ most of the chips were broken into nickel size pieces the salsa was so spicy i asked the waitress if i could get mild she stayed thats all they had ~ my beef burrito was covered in enchilada sauce and was cold ~ my refried beans tasted burnt ~ I ate a few bites and told my husband I was not eating it ~ he had fajitas and the steak meat was so tough it was difficult to chew ~ it was a disappointing meal we got up and I attempted to mention to the cashier it was not good and neither of us finished our food ~ I was ignored except for being told where to stick my card to pay ~ so i paid for the food and left ~ we went to Taco Bell ~ we will not be returning ~

I am extremely upset. We have been eating here for over fifteen years. My family, friends, and I will not give this restaurant another dime.
I placed a call in order yesterday evening for two kids meals one adult meal (arroz con pollo) chicken with rice and a large cheese dip. I was looking at a photo of the menu online posted four months ago and the kids meals showed 4.99 . He told me the large cheese dip was 8 but never gave me a total took my name or told me how long. When my husband came back out and said it's over 50 dollars is that right. I immediately said no and went in to resolve the situation.
The employee at the counter once again gave me a Total of over 50. I said this can't be right can you give me a breakdown. He starts by telling me kids meals are 7. I was like online it says 5 and under. He said that's wrong. I explained I didn't have 50 dollars can we please put back some of the food. He said there is nothing he can do. At this point I should have just left. I'm just not a bad person like that. So I continued to explain there is no way it could be 50. He never gave me an explanation and kept telling my husband to pay. We ended up giving him every last dollar we had for food this week. I got home and the portion sizes on the kids meals were tiny. A lot of it was not edible. There is no way these were 7 dollars but Even if they were 7 it would be 14 for two kids meals. 8 for cheese dip and 11 for the arroz con pollo. That would total 33 plus 3 in tax would be 36. Not 50.86! I drove back to the restaurant after we ate and they were closed. I sent two messages which they have read and didn't respond. Please don't do business with these ppl that treat their customers this poorly.

I use to eat here alot. The past couple of years the food has went down hill. I ordered chicken chimachangas a couple years ago and instead of the normal cheese(white) they put on top it had nacho cheese which just ruined the flavor. Didn't eat here for awhile and decided to try it again towards the beginning of this year and same thing. Haven't ate there since.

Me and my family came her to eat supper and one of us had a hair in the food . They ask if we wanted to get a new plate well yes that would be nice , them my sister got chicken that was so hard you couldn't eat it . When we ask if they would refix the plate they acted ugly about it . I would not recommend it to anyone probably the worst place I have ever ate at with non friendly staff .

We waited almost 30 minutes for drinks. They only had one person working on a Saturday night. My bill was only $58 they overcharged us $77 That is price gouging and they are doing to a lot of people.

Unfortunately I can’t leave 0 stars. Went to have a nice dinner with family. Took 20 minutes to get our drink order taken when there were only maybe 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. Food tasted ok but when the ticket is dropped off and the waitress is asked about why the price doesn’t match what we ordered, she began to go down the list and started to repeat things she had already accounted for higher up on the ticket. I did not feel like sitting to argue because the receipt doesn’t have the prices labeled with the items to match and I was just ready to leave. Once I got home, I got online and looked up their menu to add up what all was ordered $54 before tax should have been the ticket but we were charged $78. We were charged over $20 more than we were suppose to be. Needless to say, I won’t be going back and warn anyone that does to double check their ticket before paying.

Great service not enough employees most likely why the place is very unclean the qaurter candy machines had bugs inside of them. And i would love to say the food was nice but the beef had no taste and was practically a grease pit. Paid almost 100 dollars for five people to eat when mostly no one wanted to eat there food would not recommend to anyone

Absolutely wonderful food! Honestly I've never been to a better Mexican restaurant. Incredibly cheap for massive portions; I had "Isaac's Steak" and the plate it came on was nearly 2 feet long and 1 foot wide absolutely covered in rice. I came with not 1, not 2, but 4 burritos for only $12. I've never experienced humbler staff who were as appreciative of us as those working at this restaurant. Honestly the best restaurant I've ever been to and I cant express enough how positive of an experience I had here and how good the food was.

Utterly NASTY! I will never eat there again. The staff was practically invisible. It took almost 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order at lunchtime with only 2 other tables occupied. The condiment shakers were caked in filth. The food was beyond disgusting. We couldn't even finish 1/4 of our food. My granddaughter got the taco salad that was full of runny liquid that went everywhere. My grandson had chicken fingers and fries that were hard as rocks. I had what was supposed to be fajitas. I don't believe I ate beef. The guacamole was horrible. The chips were stale. The salsa tasted like pure tomato juice. The cheese dip was extremely bland. Complaints went nowhere. I won't ever recommend this place. It needs to be shut down.

I've been eating here regularly since I moved to Hanceville about a year ago but after today I don't think I'll be back. We got here about 20 minutes after they opened and I'm fairly certain we were the first patrons of the day. After we got our chips, we saw a roach crawl across the edge of the table, next to the wall. I quietly got our waiters attention and informed him of the roach and we were moved to a different table. The table we were moved to had stuck on food from, I'm assuming, the previous night. We ended up using all of the provided napkins to clean up their mess. We started looking around and noticed food under tables. We asked for our food to go and I don't think I'll be returning. Good food, dirty restaurant.

Extremely slow service. Food was ok but mediocre. As I sit here, my glass of tea has been empty and sitting on the edge of the table for 17 minutes. I've been here 45 minutes and the restaurant was less than half full when I arrived. And I still can't even get my check to leave. Total bust.

When I stayed in Hanceville more often 2 years back, this was my favorite place to eat at and drink at on Friday night. The bar is usually empty which is a shame because it is criminally underrated and the staff is very accomodating and can mix and make you any drink you ask for.Also they are quite fast in many cases, which I personally enjoy a lot. Update event during the pandemic they are the most reliable folks. :) I love this crew.

Ordered a fried steak burrito for $8.99 which was mostly grilled onions and bell peppers with 6 tiny pieces of steak. The chips tasted horrible, left a nasty after taste! Idk if it was the oil they were fried in or just really old chips... The "Salsa" tasted like tomato water. No flavor at all! Spoke to the manager/owner/"chef" guy and he asked if i read the menu... yes i did! There were things on the burrito that were NOT listed on the menu! Their was a child that was throwing gumballs and other things around the resturaunt around people and running around. Im assuming employees child... The tea was good! Thats it! I wouldn't waste my money here again if i was starving! This is only my opinion of this particular resturaunt. I have loved every other lupe's resturaunt i have been to. Normally they have super friendly employees and amazing food! Idk what happened at the one in hanceville!
