My husband and I own two very successful Mexican restaurants in south Alabama and we definitely know what great Mexican food is supposed to taste like. That being said this restaurant, La Perla, is 🙌 hands down the best I’ve ever had!!! They definitely deserve a 10 star ⭐️ review if there was one! From the service, Texas Margarita, atmosphere and ALL the food we ordered they are awesome!! From one Mexican restaurant owner to another we wish you guys much success and many blessings!!!

Our visit here was amazing, our plates was not plate they was Platters, the paella, seafood Platters was excellent, next time we going there we will only one of these plates, This place is a must try,you will not be disappointed. Our waiter name was Rafael, very nice and attractive.

We went for Restaurant Week since I hadn't had the chance to try this place yet. I got the restaurant week deal and got empanadas, prawns in house made sauce, churros, and a margarita. My husband got queso, a California burrito, and mango margarita. Everything was delicious and the server was really nice. There was a live DJ and I sort of suspect this place turns into a club later into the night. Definitely a fun place and we will be back.

This is a great Mexican restaurant specializing in seafood dishes. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great as well. At the time we were there a live band was playing and singing Mexican music. We enjoyed the experience immensely.

****** Be aware and double check you're receipt..Well,here we go again.For a party of 2 people I don't think it's good for business for the waiter to automatically add 15% to the ticket without the customers consent.Just my two cents..
I mean food was delicious and ser was great until our waiter took it upon himself and just add the 15%

De vez en cuando venimos y el servicio siempre es bueno, nos atiende Rafael ó Toño. La comida es sabrosa y abundante. En esta oportunidad ordenamos patas de jaiba al ajo, filete relleno, filete empanizado, mojara al ajo, huachinango estilo perla (fotos).

Stopped by for father's day lunch with my co workers. They sat us down took us the tostadas they give. We were sitting for over 30 minutes never once did the server stop by to ask for our drink order. After 30 minutes a person stopped by and told us he was there to help us cuz nobody wanted to attend our table. There was 6 of us there. Very bad service will never go back.

Good food. Had a baked oyster dish, taco salad with beef and pineapple filled seafood dish. Good flavors. There was a mariachi band playing too. Eduardo was a good server. Lots more to try. Will be back soon!

Went here for Cinco de Mayo with a friend. The place was crowded, so we grabbed seats at the bar. There were multiple mariachi bands playing lively music. The staff was friendly. The margaritas and the food were good. I recommend the chicken tacos.

I used to be a big fan of this restaurant, I even purchased gift cards for my customers so they could enjoyed a nice dinner there, the food is good but seems like the avocado is to expensive, last time I was there for lunch with my wife they brought me stale( almost black guacamole)
Price wise I always thought it was worth it, after last time I’m getting seconds thoughts, too bad their quality is declining.
Waiters are good, specially the lady who bring your ceviche tostada.

I've been twice in the last week, for lunch and dinner. On both occassions the presentation and flavor of the food was good. However, both meals were served at incorrect temperatures. The grilled salmon, rice pilaf (each meal) and refried beans were lukewarm. I'll add that the sides (rice pilaf and refried beans) of my lunch were served with different types of disposable utensils. The service wasn't exceptional, but wasn't poor either. The selection of food was abundant. The value for the quantity of food is good, but the value for the quality of food is not.

Disappointed by the food. I order the the Mix Burrito. My food arrived lukewarm and a drastically smaller from what the menu advertised. The meat inside the burrito was over cooked and the shrimp was not cleaned. The beans and rice were blend and cold. Do not recommend. Server was ok. Even though it was not busy the server was in a rush.

hablando de precios lo que creo que es muy alto !!! fuimos 6 personas la cuenta de 700 el tip de 75 , antes habíamos pedido huachinango zarandeado y lo tenían muy rico esta última vez estaba quemado y el único sabor que pudimos captar fue el de carbón 😅 y familiar no es pues la música está súper alta nos sirvieron unas cucarachas que la salsa ya burbujeaba se sentía el sabor a agrio

My husband and I have been wanting to experience this restaurant so my husband decided date he was taking me! We arrived and the hostess seated us very politely then we were alone. We sat there for 30 minutes and wasn't acknowledged. No drinks offered or anything. My husband is black and I am white. I never thought I'd experience what I did but racism is Alive!

El restaurante no es económico pero la comida es de muy buen sabor.
Las porciones en los platillos son abundantes, con hambre no se queda uno.

Amazing customer service!I loved every part of it. Many affordable meals. Amazing cocktails,shots,and aguas frescas🤩. My family and I went to celebrate my daughters birthday, and every waiter joined to sing happy birthday. It was amazing day. My husband and I got a pińa colada and it was SO GOOD. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a fresh adult drink . My order was the molcajete Pacifico and I was amazed by how flavorful it was. It was juicy,meaty. It fulls you up to the brim. I recommend coming to this restaurant for any occasions.

Staff was great, Milton even made suggestions. I chose the Molcajete Pacifico. It was pretty authentic, I was being cautious with the spice, but I ended up asking for more spice and a bit of lemon. I was pleased to find such good Mexican food in Birmingham.

I realize the manager was sitting next to me, so I commented on her that I gave her a great review on Google. I asked my server to give me my tab. She stood up and proceeded to cash me out. When it came time to sign, I questioned why it was more than the original receipt. She explained it was the taxes, that’s when I noticed she added a 15% automatic gratuity. Really for a party of one? Not cool! Notice on the pictures, they still left room for me to add another tip. I then heard her tell somebody that I noticed, yes, I understand Spanish…..
