The food was fresh and the service was good.. I ordered 3 chicken tacos $8 and some change (great price) but the chicken was pulled/shredded and not grilled like I expected… The meat itself had no flavor. Maybe I ordered wrong? I asked for 3 chicken tacos. Maybe I should have said grilled? The tortillas and other ingredients were all fresh. Overall not horrible but not what I wanted.

Best food around. The gotditas con lengua is my favorite. It's delicious very hearty, and at a great price. I just wish one taco truck would have manzanita de sol. Apple soda. Mundel is ok but the other one is mas mejor.

This is the best Mexican food truck in all of the Birmingham area! And I’ve been to many! The food is seasoned to perfection. The sauces are very tasty I love their green sauce personally. Tacos are not expensive as all. I usually get 2 for only $9! You can not beat that. Most of the others are more expensive. Burritos are awesome… everything is fresh always! If you’re looking for the best Mexican food trust me this is it! You will not be disappointed! I live in the Hoover area and they are also on DoorDash! You’ve got to give them a try!

In the Mexican Food Truck scheme of things, this is on the higher end of the scale. Definitely fair prices for the amount of meat that is in everything (some places will charge less, but cheap out on the amount of meat). Nice selection of quality cold drinks. The sauces that come in the cups have great flavor, their food has great flavor: good quality & quantity.

I never review anything. This place is so good I had to review it. Best tacos I've ever had. Prices are great. I eat here twice a week and it is always excellent every time. I've tried everything and it is all amazing. My go to is steak or cabeza tacos with everything.

This is the best taco truck in town. Really the best tacos period. You have to try the asada Tlacoyos!!! You will not be disappointed. Quite the opposite, you’ll be hooked!

They have excellent service and the food quality is consistently top notch!! Pull up, order, and in ten minutes you’ll be ready to eat. Prepare for mouthwatering smells on the ride home, if you can wait that long to dig in. I’d rate this place 10 stars if I could. I take all my out of town guests here. They remember it and talk later about how delicious it is.

the atmosphere is a gravel parking lot in an active construction site and it's perfect. I wrote a letter to god asking that we replace communion wafers with tlacoyos from valedores. Haven't heard back yet but it's an obvious win win, support small businesses

Update 7/8/24 - if you want tlacoyos do NOT order them on Door Dash via Google! There is no meat selection menu for tlacoyos, there is no place to type special instructions or a comment, and the employees will just give you meatless tlacoyos (as though anyone would want to pay $10 for onion and bean sandwiches…).

I called to say there was no meat, they told me you have to pick a meat when you order. Again, there is nowhere to do that. I went back to pick up the asada, and the young man actually said he would have to charge me next time (for something I had already paid for, that’s interesting customer service; and as though I would repeat this awful online ordering experience). I had my 80-year old mother and 18-year old dog in the car, driving back was highly inconvenient. I tipped $10 for the asada because they made me feel so bad, insisting I could and should have typed the meat in the comments - I sincerely wish I had not tipped because when I got home, I entered a test order and there is absolutely NO space or option whatsoever to do that!!!! They were wrong, they didn’t say sorry for the inconvenience or disappointment, and I rewarded them for blaming me. If I were the owners I would encourage employees to **kindly and patiently** listen to customers. Mom and I were excited about lunch but it turned into an expensive hassle! She had never had tlacoyos before and was full by the time we got the steak and returned home :(

Original review: Absolutely delicious! My favorites are the al pastor tacos and asada tlacoyos, both are flavorful and not something I could make at home. Kind and fast service - don’t forget to tip!
p.s., if you are blessed with leftovers the next morning, put them in your air fryer and serve with a fried egg or two on top and a side of black beans - you’re welcome!

I had the best tacos of my life on the side of the street in Mexico City. These were as good. It’s proof that you don’t need some super complex dish to be delicious. Simple, fast, and incredible; once you try it, you’ll be back.

I'm not the kind of guy that likes to eat the same thing twice in a row. I crave variety like it's sold on street corners, so believe it when I tell you this place is special. I've eaten the same dish for dinner twice in a row because it was just too good. (Cabeza burrito)

It's got mostly the options you'd expect from a Taco truck, but some that stand out as novel, too. I've had most anything on a Mexican restaurant menu before, but I've never had Tlacoyos before. They look like tacos with the tortillas fried, in the picture; trust me, I'm gonna try them soon. I mean, my girlfriend is the type to call black pepper spicy, and googles the ingredients before they'll eat them, and she STILL got the lengua! Twice!

Listen, I mean what is there to dislike about this place other than the parking? As of March 2024, it's situated near Maya, the Mexican restaurant on Oxmoor Rd, off Green Springs, in a lot that gets pretty crowded quick. An hour or less till closing and they're packed, so try to come a little earlier if you want to find parking.

They're lightning fast in that truck! I had my burrito in less than 10 minutes, and some of that time was us ordering. Incredible food, very friendly staff, and a mostly convenient location. You're making a terrible mistake if you don't come get you some. ¡Buen provecho!

My favorite taco truck in town! Always delicious and worth the price. They're never stingy with ingredients lol & there's a good selection of cold drinks. Only downside is the construction on the building nearby can make the parking lot crowded/difficult to navigate but it's never bad enough to dissuade me from going.

This is my favorite Taco Truck. I normally eat here 3 times a week, same order each time (4) Al Pastor Tacos, light onions, red sauce only. I was very disappointed today when I came to order my favorite dish because this is now the second time I have come and other customers jump right in front of me before I can order. Unfortunately, I’m not fluent in Spanish so both times I tried to tell the customers I was in line I was completely ignored.

Today 3 people jumped in front of me so I decided not to stay and wait. This is in no way the owners fault but I want the owner to know that this is happening and it’s not fair to any of your customers especially your loyal customers.

I have decided not to return anytime soon but would recommend signs or something to be placed for a line to form to try to prevent this from happening. I know this has happened to me twice now and I’m sure I’m not the only person who experienced this. I will try back in the new year to see if any changes have occurred but until then I wish this Food Truck all the Success in the Future.

Este es mi camión de tacos favorito. Normalmente como aquí tres veces a la semana, siempre pido lo mismo: 4 tacos al pastor, con poca cebolla y solo salsa roja. Hoy me sentí muy decepcionada cuando vine a pedir mi platillo favorito, porque es la segunda vez que vengo y otros clientes se me adelantan antes de que pueda ordenar. Desafortunadamente, no hablo español con fluidez, por lo que las dos veces que intenté decirles a los clientes que estaba en la fila, fui completamente ignorada.

Hoy, tres personas se me adelantaron, así que decidí no quedarme a esperar. Esto no es culpa del dueño de ninguna manera, pero quiero que el dueño sepa que esto está sucediendo y no es justo para ninguno de sus clientes, especialmente para los leales.

He decidido no volver en un futuro cercano, pero recomendaría colocar señales o algo para que se forme una fila y tratar de evitar que esto suceda. Sé que esto me ha pasado dos veces ahora y estoy segura de que no soy la única persona que ha experimentado esto. Volveré a intentar en el nuevo año para ver si ha habido algún cambio, pero hasta entonces, les deseo mucho éxito en el futuro a este camión de comida.

Today, I discovered the beauty of a 2 taco plate. Doesn't seem like much, you say... Let me tell you....I walked back to my car tonight with the heaviest plate I could carry.

Food? Almost WAY TOO MUCH!!!
Both of my tacos were loaded with meat, almost enough to make 2 more. Fresh lime, cilantro!!

I have to split this review into portions.... I'm so stuffed!

Now you ask about the taste???

Let me tell you, I have never had a taco this amazing... The secret: the first taco was great. The second one... OUTSTANDING!!!

In my better years, I traveled the Yucatan peninsula twice... Never had a taco like this.
In my fatter years, I traveled the taco trucks of the south... Never had a taco like this.

Thank you to the entire staff!!! You helped me find food, comfort and love in many ways!!
(Did I mention how happily stuffed I am?)

Best Mexican food in the Birmingham area, and everything is under $10. Been there at least 50 times and always consistently delicious. The red salsa is so damn good. My go to’s are the Al pastor: sopes-burrito-quesadilla. The ceviche tostadas are awesome as well if you want something lighter.

One of the best trucks in the area in my opinion. I’ve only ever had the street tacos but they’re so good. Price has gone up lately but that seems to be the case with everything. Parking can be a little sparse and the atmosphere is not great but it’s a food truck. You go there to get food and leave. And the food is totally worth it.

They have two large ice chests with drinks to choose from. They take cards and cash here and can email receipts.
Get the steak tacos. You won’t be disappointed.

I am a very forgiving person when it comes to food, I don’t leave bad reviews unless it’s absolutely inedible. These tacos were beyond inedible. We ordered $60 worth of tacos because of good reviews. Dry over-cooked and bland meats, chewy tortillas and unapologetic owner.

The gorditas alone will have me coming back to this taco truck for as long as it’s serving. SO good and so unique, I’ve never had anything quite like it. Green sauce is to die for and the red sauce is smokey deliciousness. Absolutely love this place.

The flautas were great, and so were the tacos. This is a very good taco truck. There's no seating though, so be prepared for that. My buddies and I just stand around the back of a pickup.
