Let’s me begin by introducing my self I am a professional chipotle reviews I have visited over 100 chipotle and I know exactly what I’m looking for . I gave this place a 2 star because it’s not the cleanest and the food is extremely bland. The chicken is not even cooked all the way . Even the beans have no salt . So sad to have these customers eat in such a dirty place with such bland food . Management please change this . Oh some of the employees are also not the friendliest.

I recently visited Chipotle to take advantage of a BOGO deal before it expired, but my experience was disappointing. While I’m accustomed to smaller portions from this chain, this time was especially underwhelming. When I opened my box, it was only filled halfway, which barely served one person—far less than what I expected, even for Chipotle's standards.
To make matters worse, the service left much to be desired. The employees barely acknowledged me, making the overall experience feel unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on both quality and service.

I went in and ordered a veggie bowl. I requested cheese and sour cream to be on the side. However, she still charged me $1.55 extra for the side. The veggie bowl ALREADY COMES INCLUDED with shredded cheese & sour cream. When I asked the cashier she did absolutely nothing to help refund it. She could care less. To add more fuel to the fire, the brown rice had not been cooked well - it was extremely crunchy. Not a good experience for a broke UAB college student. Lost my appetite at the Hoover Chipotle, never saw less interested workers and a dirtier prep area. Other Chipotle’s they clean after each customer, not Hoover, no cleaning around food prep, all items had other food mixed in them, it was absolutely disgusting

Okay, I admit I favor mexican food over every other food (except asian food) but they have rice so that makes me happy, an Asian always needs rice in their life.
Service: Well, I mean I entered and the employees were shouting and yelling at some customers, about what you expected but I don't care about the service as long as they're nice and polite to me.
Atmosphere: Pretty underwhelming, bags and napkins on the floor and tables, I don't see why people can't clean up after themselves, the trash is full so I understand but at least I want a table that is clean, also the straws and lids area next to the drink machine is filthy, do better.
Food: I slept on their food, it's about the same level as Moe's Southwest Grill but I have yet to do a direct comparison between the two, by that I mean looking at both, taste test and seeing which one I like better, but well done. Just got an ordinary burrito bowl with chicken as my protein, pinto beans, white rice, veggies, spicy salsa, under 10 bucks, take it or leave it.
You might as well order on the app since they prioritize online orders and a bonus, they're open till 11 pm unlike other chipotles.

This location either needs to go completely mobile orders only or in store ordering only. They can never seem to keep up with the demand of both. Food I ordered last night was tossed in the bag, so sauce spilled over Quesadilla making it soggy. The rice was also still hard and undercooked like another reviewer stated. And then you can’t even get it corrected because you’re communicating with a robot in the App trying to request a refund or credit.

I have been struggling with the carnivore diet and where to eat for my lunch hour. Found out real quick Chipotle is not the place to go. Double meat add guac heat and eat brisket runs a whopping $28. Didn't even fill half the bowl. The majority of that pile is green pepper.

if i could give this chipotle 0 stars i would. everytime i order, it’s wrong. i ordered a delivery order tonight and my ENTIRE bowl was wrong. almost everything i ordered was not on there and it had hot sauce on it, which i did it order and cannot eat because it’s way too hot. now, i’m having to drive all the way there to get a new bowl. i mean every single time i order it’s wrong.

BEWARE!!! Me and my husband went today for a treat since we don't have a chipotle near home. Sadly this place sucks. My husband has food poisoning from the carnitas from this place. We had everything the same on our bowls except the meat. So we know it was the meat not being at the correct temp. We will NEVER go to chipotle again.

Ask for vinegarette sauce was charged for side which cost 1.55 i don't mind paying but the cut was not full it was not even half fulled when I ask to get a full one she was like it's a 1.55 for that little sauce I will not be back if I could give them no stars I would and also I didn't even get but 5 pieces of meat I counted

It’s usually really good. I drive like 30 minutes for it. But sometimes they undercook things. Especially their beans and it’s fine whatever. But today they didn’t cook the rice. Like hooow. So upsetting. Like ruined the whole meal.

3rd time pulling up at open and sat there for 45 minutes after opening hours and still won’t let anyone in. I saw at least 20 customers they let drive off. Never coming back to this location. The employees won’t even tell us how long it might take. Just empty stares..

I have had bad service from this location many times but now I am done. We placed an order to go (sometimes when we went they would not accept orders on site) but when I got there the doors were locked. There were employees in the store and a customer told me that they would not open for another 30 minutes. After some time an employee opened the door to speak to all of the customers waiting to get in and said that if you ordered online you could call the 800 number for a refund. I missed the first part so I don't know why they were not opening. From now on I'll use other locations like the one in Vestavia where I always get great service and food.

Showed up to Chipotle 9/24/24 at 11:15am and there is a line at the door all the way to the street. It says you open at 10:45. We have banged and knocked on the glass to get an answer on what is going on and none of the staff will come talk to us. They just keep walking past us and shrugging us off. Someone rode by and said yall did the same thing two weeks ago because of a large cater order. If that’s the case, PUT A SIGN ON THE DOOR OR USE COMMUNICATION TO EXPLAIN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT IS GOING ON WITH AN ETA OF WHEN THEY CAN COME INSIDE TO EAT LUNCH. I understand not the greatest people in the world work in restaurants but have some more class than that. Acting like McDonald’s employees crazy.

So i come to this chipotle pretty often but from what i experienced today was extremely rude and disrespectful. I get here probably 10 minutes before they open which is on the door 10:45.
3 other people including me walked up 5 minutes after they are supposed to open. Nobody came to the door to inform us of anything that was going on. They left us knocking and tried to pull on the door. Completely IGNORED all of the paying customers that came to the door. While looking at us at the door and just completely ignored us. That was extremely rude. It is now 11:00 and still NOT ONE EMPLOYEE came to the door to tell us what was going on. Completely unacceptable. I will NOT be coming to this chipotle anymore. COMPLETELY RUDE AND MADE ME AND OTHER COSTUMERS VERY PISSED OFF.

It’s honestly a waste atp, then wanna look crazy when you ask for more chicken cause the bowl filled w rice & no meat. DO BETTER. It ain’t coming out of the workers paychecks so idk why you have an attitude making a decent proportional sized bowl that the customer is PAYING FOR.

I've had this location several times now. I'm usually there around 11:30 and it is busy, but I do not have to wait very long. They are fast and most usually friendly, if you're not careful it can get expensive, but the food is very good and in my opinion it's worth it. I will be back and I highly recommend this location

Food quality is consistent with other Chipotle stores. Should be 5 stars, and the reason I cut 2 because the men’s restroom was out of towel paper. Also general tip- don’t accept the addons, very pricey, like almost $3 for a few drops of queso blanco.

Consistently sub par service. Arrived on 6/23 5 minutes before they opened, waited in our car for them to open. Chipotle napkins and bags seen blowing across the parking lot. Walked to the door at 10:45am and it was still locked. Waited there for 3-4 minutes with another lady while we waited for them to open. Could see them noticing us, but nobody walked over to open the door. After 3-4 minutes, a lady walks over, unlocked the door, and then walked away without opening.
We walked inside and she was gone, stood in line another 3-4 minutes while nobody walked to the counter to acknowledge us or take our order. Hand sanitizer station was empty and not filled. The Spanish girl and guy in the back smiled at us and looked around trying to figure out where there front staff coworkers were.
Finally after about 5 minutes, a girl with long braids comes over and started to ask our order. Very unimpressive attitude and spoke under her breath, we couldn’t hear her. It seemed like us ordering was an inconvenience to her. She also did not mention Guac was extra (not that I’m not already aware). When she moved to the register, she said “one minute” and walked away into the back while we stood there waiting to pay.
After getting our food, I walk into the restroom and fine urine sitting in the toilet (mind you, we were the first customers, so this was an employee leaving it there or them not checking the restrooms”
After sitting and eating for about 5 minutes, two other workers walk in (about 20 min late), one with outside beverage in her hand. Clearly her morning drink was More important than getting to work on time.
This location consistently has employees that clearly don’t care. Portion sizes are not killing Chipotle, bad hiring and people not caring about their customers is.
We will continue driving to Vestavia for our food despite being less convenient, this location in Hoover is too unwelcoming.

I eat here every other week and sometimes twice a week. I’ve had triple the amount of bad experiences. I always have to wait 15-20mins in line and I only have a 30min lunch break. Even when it’s not busy… today they apparently don’t take cash and that’s all I had. Sometimes they just look at you when you walk in instead of greeting you. Terrible customer service.

This place has gone downhill in a hurry. Unfortunate, because I used to eat here all the time. The rice was crunchy and the most of the lettuce was turning. Guac was dark Grey. I asked the girl if they had any fresh lettuce. She just looked at me and walked to the next customer behind me. Not one table was clean, and the garbages were full and stunk like a dumpster. The ice machine has mold growing on it. Never again.

Portions have fallen off seriously. They used to at least make up for the lack of protein they give you with the rice and veggies but now those are being underserved as well and on this particular visit they were out of cooked veggies. Needless to say the $45 i spent was not worth it

The third party customer service people claimed store was completely closed for the day. I told her I passed by the restaurant earlier and it was open. Worst Chipotle EVER!!! I went to this Chipotle and they told me I couldn’t come inside to order because they were only taking mobile orders. A little odd since that gets rid of a whole group of clientele, but whatever. I mobile ordered my burrito bowl and when I got home to eat it, there was nothing that I asked for on it. I was missing cheese, barely had lettuce, no corn….the bowl was just a big bowl of rice with a few pieces of chicken. Needless to say I will not be coming to chipotle again! Do better!!!

I have tried giving this location many chances, because I love chipotle, but today was the last. The only consistent thing about this place, is their inconsistencies. They are always out of food items. Multiple. Every visit. The employees seem to be leisurely working (or not working should I say) while the line grows longer. The counters/line looked like they haven’t been wiped clean all day. Typically this place is short-staffed, but that didn’t seem like the case. Today they told customers they weren’t taking anymore orders at 5:45 PM. I wanted to just walk away, but they already started making my bowl so I paid for half the normal ingredients and a protein I didn’t even want. No lids for my drink. It’s not worth the headache. Eat somewhere else.

I ordered my food early in the morning and scheduled it for the afternoon. Even so, my food was not ready on time. My toppings were either on but it wasn't the right meat or they just were not on the bowl. After multiple second chances, this is a consistent experience for me. Extremely upset by their service.

This was by far the worst Chipotle experience I've ever had. I placed my order for 7:40. I arrived right on time to find the doors locked. Eventually someone came up and asked my name. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, I finally got my food. It's one thing to wait and the food is good, but this was not the case. This was the saddest quesadilla I've ever seen, plus they forgot the veggies and my chips. After tonight it sealed the deal, I'm done with this location.

This location is awful. I placed an order online (paid for and all). I got there at 530 and the doors were locked so people couldn’t get in. Finally we were let in and the inside area looked like a disaster. I know they were probably short staffed, but you can’t be accepting online orders/money and have the staff locking the doors. I placed an order online for pick up at 11:10am. I arrive to pick up the order at 11:20am. My order is not ready. There is only one employee half-working the online order food line and half-doing whatever else. There are at least 5 people also waiting to pick up their online order. After waiting a few minutes, 3 people get their online order. That’s fine, however, there’s a trend. He is giving out small orders with 1-2 entrees a rather than working on my order (15 entrees). I ask the employee if they are working on my order and he says yes. I tell him it’s now 20 minutes past pick up and he proceeds to tell me, “It’s going to come. You don’t have to rush us.” I wasn’t rushing. I was simply asking and also expecting prompt service. Avoid this location. They are not concerned with being prompt, helpful, kind, welcoming, friendly, or respectful to their customers. Instead, they are slow to serve their guests, have no urgency or promptness, and lack to provide customer service or even a smile.

The service was absolutely terrible. I’ve never been to a chipotle so bad. I have even worked at several locations before and can definitely say that this locations staff and management need to be fired. The food was not seasoned properly, their equipment and stations were nasty and the people act like they’re there to play. This is a business and should be treated as such. They got all three of my orders wrong and then acted like they did not give a damn at all. They need to get their act together.

The chipotle on Montgomery Highway has terrible management. Since the year started there has normally been been one time that they have not been out of something, required people to only place to go orders on the app (no in store service option) or have to wait crazy lengths of time for good to get cooked.
Because I like the type of food they serve I keep trying to give them a new reason to earn my business, but every time they drop the ball. Worst restaurant in the area in my opinion.

Wow this location is an absolute disaster. Chipotle corporate needs to come in and fire everyone, close down, get a new staff, and manage this properly.
The staff was rude, sloppy, and lazy. No chicken, no lettuce, no cheese. The prep area was a mess, the whole place was filthy.
We left while they were making an absolute disaster of a burrito we ordered. One mouthy dude went to cut up some chicken but he was just yapping to his coworkers and never got any chicken cut.
This location has been getting bad reviews for years (similar problems 4 years ago) and apparently Chipotle doesn’t care enough to do anything. So I won’t go back. Even though I love Chipotle.

Yall know I don’t normally complain especially publicly complain but honey this so called “ manager “ did it for me tonight. We walked in and got in line. It’s about 930 pm. The manager on duty was checking customers out with a terrible attitude. Other customers started walking in and she started yelling that they had to leave and go place a mobile order in their car if they wanted food. The whole time she had the worst attitude. Now the little guy that was working with her making the food was the sweetest and very professional. The guy in front of me asked if they had chips she said nope while the young man also answer no sir I’m sorry. He was working his butt off while she stood there staring at him. After a minute she went over to him and told him to go run the register so she could get these people out of here. Now how she made our bowls was literally ridiculous. Scraping the almost empty pans and giving the bare minimum. Almost $40 worth of food and bowls filled half way and a nasty attitude. Not to mention the amount of trash and food that was thrown all over the floor. Just nasty. And I’m not even one to complain but it literally was ridiculous. And if you close at 11 pm why are you kicking customers out at 930 pm???!!! And one more thing as a manager hunny you should be the kindest friendliest person in the building and if you don’t like your job find another one. And yall know this is coming from someone who is a General Manager and would do anything to make my customers happy and satisfied.

I hate i had to select a star at all. This restaurant and staff is horrible. Handed us our food in our hand, no dinner trays. Attitude of the manager. Store appeared very dirty. Employees arguing about the earlier staff not washing the dishes. Only a few customers can order and the staff appeared to not care about fixing the food. The manager keeps placing her hands in her pants to pull up her too big pants and fixing food with the same gloves. This store probably had at least 30 customers leave angrily during our short visit. I'm a fan of the food franchise and this store is the worse. I asked for the managers info. The on staff manager stated I can have her card but she hasn't been here in a long time (Briana Roper) that's $40 I'll never get back. Save your time and money.

I don't even know where to start. If I could give negative stars, I would. I have been to Chipotles all over the country, and this by far is the worst I have ever been to. To the point where it should have been a comedy skit on TV. I'm not sure how this location is still open.
First, let's talk about customer service. Out of the three employees working when we walked in, only one was really working. The other was kinda helping, and the third was in the back prepping food at snail speed. Eating the food as she went & giving everyone attitude. You could cut the tension between the employees with a knife. After waiting a very long time (because most of what we wanted needed to be prepped or replaced, we waited for about 5 mins before anyone took the initiative to check us out.
My daughter needed corn tacos with her kids' meals because of an allergy. There were none made & when the only employee went to make them in the fryer, the fryer wasn't on, so we couldn't even get them. We got one of the two tiny bags of chips left in the whole establishment.
My husband ordered the white lime rice and couldn't finish his bowl because he said the lime was so overpowering it ruined the meal. Additionally, the guacamole on my salad was also very heavy with lime.
Also, we sat outside in order to get out of the toxic vibes inside the store. The picture is of the garbage station outside. The place overall was not very upkept.
Overall, it seems whomever is managing this store needs to be fired/more employees need to be hired to keep up with the Chipotle standard. My family and I will not be dining here again.

Customer service is the worse, they were not taking inside orders and had the door locked and online customers waiting outside. Staff was cussing in front of customers. Rice was hard and chicken burned. Sunday March 24, 2024 . Go somewhere else.

The worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to. I never order delivery from this particular Chipotle because my order is always missing one or more items. When I place an order for pickup usually only half of my items are correct or even in the bag. I spent $65 plus delivery fees only to be missing items and be given someone else’s food. I promise you I will never go back to this particular Chipotle ever again. Spend your money at a different restaurant or different Chipotle, don’t burn it here.

Service has declined in this location, they prepare the food in such a hurry ingredients are just tossed around giving a bad presentation, and the woman in the cash register if she hates her job so much should look for something else and not provide service with such an angry face and bad disposition, makes the customer uncomfortable

I've been here 3 times, and each visit was very pleasant, friendly, and the food was scrumptious. My daughter is now addictive, which I don't mind because the food seems to be very healthy for the most part. ❤️❤️❤️

Okay, I admit I favor mexican food over every other food (except asian food) but they have rice so that makes me happy, an Asian always needs rice in their life.
Service: Well, I mean I entered and the employees were shouting and yelling at some customers, about what you expected but I don't care about the service as long as they're nice and polite to me.
Atmosphere: Pretty underwhelming, bags and napkins on the floor and tables, I don't see why people can't clean up after themselves, the trash is full so I understand but at least I want a table that is clean, also the straws and lids area next to the drink machine is filthy, do better.
Food: I slept on their food, it's about the same level as Moe's Southwest Grill but I have yet to do a direct comparison between the two, by that I mean looking at both, taste test and seeing which one I like better, but well done. Just got an ordinary burrito bowl with chicken as my protein, pinto beans, white rice, veggies, spicy salsa, under 10 bucks, take it or leave it.
You might as well order on the app since they prioritize online orders and a bonus, they're open till 11 pm unlike other chipotles.

This was the most disgusting meal I've ever had from Chipotle. The steak was raw on the inside, chicken was chewy with fat on it and they don't know what shredded lettuce is. I would give the middle finger if it was an option. They lost my business for ever.

The food was raw and not well cook. The rice was so hard and the Meat raw. When I placed my order they were running out of beans so I asked the lady to put more beans on my bowl so in a very rude way she told me to get out of the line and wait until they cook more beans because I can't hold the line. Restrooms were awful and the trash was over filled. I will never return there not even for free. Service and environment terrible. This location used to be the best few years ago.

This location either needs to go completely mobile orders only or in store ordering only. They can never seem to keep up with the demand of both. Food I ordered last night was tossed in the bag, so sauce spilled over Quesadilla making it soggy. The rice was also still hard and undercooked like another reviewer stated. And then you can’t even get it corrected because you’re communicating with a robot in the App trying to request a refund or credit.

Rice was not cooked, so many hard pieces chicken was burnt to the point it was hard to chew. Staff was really rude. Asked for basic ingredients and kept being told “don’t have it.” Please go to another location, I swear we always have issues with this one.
Edit: I looked at the other reviews and it seems everyone is having issues here. They really need to be reported for a health inspection before someone gets really sick.

We were in town staying at the Hyatt across the street. When we arrived at the restaurant, they said we can only do an online order due to an exhaust issue issue. Folks were not supposed to come inside. Although the staff was friendly, they were completely swamped, and all the food production was very messy. The food tasted OK, but they are running anything but a tight ship over there. Food took about 40 minutes to come out after ordering.

If I could give zero stars, I would this place used to be great and unfortunately it’s the closest one to my house because I live in alabaster. The employees are unprofessional sloppy, and just plain don’t care. I’ve been to this location multiple times and they have ran out of things like sour cream cheese, guacamole at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the manager is clearly not accountable for this location. I beg chipotle to put one in alabaster Alabama because I will never come back to this location.

Chipotle is my go to quick food because it’s close to home and it’s the only restaurant in America right now that is GMO project certified- meaning they’re the only fast food restaurant that has all non gmo (clean food) and processes.

Online orders only sign on door again, doors were locked, I did order online, and they only gave me half the food I ordered. Then get home and the rice is not cooked! When I say not cooked, like hard as a rock raw. Those guys who work there don’t give a damn, it’s obvious. That Hoover location has gone to hell. It gets worse each time I go there. It’s mid day on Sunday, we wanted chipotle and decided to go to the hwy 31 location. We show up someone wrote on a piece of paper “ online orders only” so we ordered food online and went to get the food and doors were locked and no one around.

This place sucks now. My other visit a few days ago was fine but today the guy behind the counter skimped on everything and tried to charge me extra for cheese multiple times as extra charges for “sides”. They never charged extra for cheese before. This is just the regular cheese, not queso or anything. It I told him I didn’t want to pay extra and take it off but he said it would have to go in the trash so I just paid extra for cheese. He barely heated the tortilla and skimped on everything. So today I got half of what I usually get for an extra charge. Don’t recommend this location.

Ordered online for pickup. Order was not even started when the pickup time came. No one was in the restaurant. Staff was too busy talking to fill their orders. Others were waiting also. Food is average but service has gone down hill.

On Sunday 1/14 This location would only accept online orders only. So I would have to download the app, enter all of my information including email and credit card information just for a burrito from a restaurant that has more bad reviews than good reviews sorry chipotle not me

Stopped by passing through town for online pickup order. Ordered 2 identical chicken burrito bowls. Neither bowl was correct. Napkins and utensils were not included as ordered. Food was cold, so much so that cheese was unmelted after 10 minutes in closed burrito bowl container.
If you like Thanksgiving leftovers served cold or pizza next day straight out of the refrigerator, you'll love this Chipotle location. If not, pass by and find a spot that serves warm meals.

This place never has food. Ever. Every single time I come, there's either no rice, no meats, or no veggies. Or, even better, they have a very small amount of food left in the container and give you a tiny portion to try to serve as many people as possible with one container. Go somewhere else if you want to pay $15 for a full meal that isn't crumbs from the bottom of the container.

Someone at chipotle HQ needs to help out this store they’ve gotta be one of the busiest in Birmingham and yet they NEVER seem to be appropriately staffed or managed. Out of food all the time and shut down early all the time. Bad look for chipotle and makes it hard to keep staff bc they’re always having to work 2 jobs at once essentially.

Keep your foot on the gas & go home or down the street to Moe's or Cava. This Chipotle sucks. It's probably a mix of issues between management & economical trouble with sustainable staffing, but you will be disappointed 9/10 times.
My biggest problem isn't the flies, understaffing, unhappy employees, unsanitary counters, staff using their gloves to wipe sweat & food waste before using that same glove to grab your lettuce, ingredient outages, or the whimsically tiny portion sizes. It's the fact that I often drive all the way here, park, & come inside to be told that they're only accepting online orders.... It's deeply frustrating to be told that because it blocks me from monitoring the previous list of issues. It's also irritating to waste gas to stop when I could've just went somewhere else. I tried to keep coming here a long time because of how close it is to my home, but I'm done. I hope they improve, but I'll pass on coming here any further.

I don’t understand why chipotle bothers advertising that they close at 10 or 11 when in reality, they will put a sign on the door at 7 Or 8 PM saying they only are taking online orders. Sometimes all you have is cash. Then, you place an online order and receive half (AT MOST) of the toppings you order for a bowl or burrito, and they give you the bottom of the barrel. Thought the solution would be to go in and make sure my food is made correctly, oh wait, you can’t do that because they stop taking walk in several hours before close. All the chipotle locations in Birmingham suck. Every. Single. One.

The music was so loud you could not hear to order or even have a conversation. So I took my food out….the store wasn't clean anyway.

This place is TERRIBLE! Since when did Chipotle become online order only? I thought one of reasons this was a popular place was because you could come in, order and watch them make your food! You have taken that away and if will NOT be going back there ever again! You have alienated your Senior Citizens who like to come in, sit down and eat. There are a lot of Seniors who don't know how to use a computer or cell phone to order your food online. Not everyone likes to use online service, especially Senior Citizens!
