Cinco de Mayo

We were looking for a place to get dinner late and this place is open until midnight. We ordered the tablita para dos and it's way more than enough for two! The dining area is clean and the owner is very nice. This is the most authentic Mexican food I have had since visiting Mexico.

The tacos and tostadas are really good except for the chorizo. It was grisly and impossible to eat. The chicken and beef is good though. Fried cheese was also good. Prices are reasonable.

First of all, owners were very kind and super friendly. For me It was first time to visit there, so they explained through all the menu. And WOW they gave us sample of all meat options that way we could decide easier than just look at the menu. Portion was really huge and we couldn’t even finish whole plate. I highly RECOMMEND this restaurant if you want to have good taco for good price. Also, don’t forget to try green salsa it’s so GOOOOOOD.

Service was amazing. The man at the counter explained the menu and was patient as I looked over the offerings. When he saw I was having a hard time selecting my options, he provided me with some different samples of the meat to help decide. All staff were friendly and approachable. Restaurant was very clean.

Now, for the food. Portion sizes were generous, flavors were on point. I tried the carnitas, sausage, and teriyaki chicken. Three tacos were filling. So delicious. Only unfortunate part about this visit is that I do not live closer. 😃

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. I used to come here regularly and I order the same thing for my family every time, only this time they gave me the wrong order or someone else's order, but it was not what I ordered. When I got home (over 45 mins away) and realized they gave me the wrong order I called them and they were not only very rude on the phone but also unwilling to help make the situation right. They basically told me they weren't going to do anything about it and better luck next time. They very clearly do not care about their customers only making a profit!

This is a great little taco shop on a corner, perfect for a casual date or a late night snack. All their options are very approachable. There's individual tacos, boards for sharing, and some neat little appetizers. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. The hot cheese was nice, but I think they rushed it and it wasn't quite as hot as I would've liked. The service and friendliness of the guy behind the counter was top notch, though.

Be warned that the board for two (plancha para dos) is literally just meat and some toppings for building your own tacos. I was expecting there to be stir fried peppers, onions, and mushrooms but I guess that's extra.

This is officially the best and most true authentically seasoned and properly prepared Mexican food in Olive of North Alabama. Literally the best tacos. I dream about the arabe tacos they serve here. Also, the nachos carnitas come with thick juicy chunks of pork, not that spindly wet stuff you get at most places. So good, just try it.

Meh... There wasn't anything special to warrant a 4.8 (near perfect) rating. The atmosphere was kind of a dive/fast food feel. I ordered the tacos, chicken, beef and pork. They were average at best, the pork was fatty. The beans were good. The service was non-existent after we got our food. The price was pretty high for what you get imho. I wouldn't go back.

I just moved here from Los Angeles California for work, now, I've tried mexican food from a couple places here in Huntsville and they are okay but this place 👌 the carnitas, chorizo and arabe tacos are really good. Reminds me of L.A. the staff was friendly and even gave us a try of their different meat options. If you are looking for good tacos, this is the spot.

The waitress told me the side comes with the meal. The amount of cilantro n onions we got was only enough for 2 tacos. If you order more they will change you$5, but other than that the food was delicious n the people working there are very nice. Our bill was $38.

Not your typical mexican dishes. Much much better!!! Since first visit they provided samples of all meats so you can decide. Had their dish for 2 with 2 meat choices. Absolutely the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. Wish we lived in the area. It would be a weekly regular meal. If near there you must stop in and taste the best food!!!

Corn tortillas taste like the ones I get off the shelf at Walmart. The tacos for two is good value for your money - meat is nothing special but you do get a good variety of toppings and sauces (no cheese 😔). Friendly staff

We finally have a late night Taqueira. The price is very reasonable for the portion size. There's so much meat on the tacos and it just falls off after the initial bite.

Food/Drink: (5/5) I ordered a Jamaica (Hibiscus Juice), 1 Chicken Adobado Taco, 1 Al Pastor Taco, and 1 Carnitas taco. The tacos were served with radish, lime, and cucumber. The Chicken Adobado was a little dry but paired well with the green sauce. The Al Pastor was tasty and the pineapple definitely shined. The Carnitas was juicy. I loved the green sauce here. The Jamaica wasn't super sweet, which I really enjoyed.

Service: (5/5) Staff was polite and provided me a menu fairly quickly. As I was picking what I wanted, the staff was helpful and even suggested I sample some of the carnitas.

Atmosphere: (5/5) The restaurant is clean, homely, and had some good music playing in the background.

They mentioned that they just received a liquor license and would start serving soon. I definitely recommend coming here!

These tacos are great! Servers are friendly and the place is kept very clean.
I've been for lunch and dinner and both consistently good. They change the menu for lunch and dinner service, but I've had zero problems at either.

Wonderfully fresh authentic Mexican food. The people are so friendly and knowledgeable. And the prices are just right. I highly recommend that you try this place dash dash you will not be disappointed! :-) Oh , and the restaurant and kitchen are impeccably clean. They have a health rating of 95.

This is the best Mexican food in all of Huntsville! My experience was very pleasant, everyone who worked there greeted me. The man behind the counter explained the menu to me in great depth. He was open to answering all my questions about the food.

The food was delicious. I was not expecting to have the best Mexican food the day I came in, but that is exactly what I got. I had the Cajun Potatoes and Pollo Arabe. The flavor, the texture, and the quantity were all so perfect.

When I came to pay, the server introduced me to some juices they create at their restaurant. There was Jamaican Sorrel and Horchata. I tried both, and neither disappointed. I am so impressed with Cinco de Mayo! It is now my go to for good food and good vibes.

Also the pricing is wonderful. I was so happy when I saw my bill.

Me and my wife has been here twice for dinner in the last week. Brought our friends this second time since we enjoyed the first time as much as we did. Very small menu dinner time. Tacos and tacos. We got the taco plates to share both times and the meat has been very well cooked and seasoned both times. The pork arabe is great, as is the chicken which is almost shawarma seasoned. The steak is also good but a bit less exciting in seasoning, still well cooked and seasoned though. On the side you get tortillas (corn or flour), diced onion, cilantro, lime, radish, cucumber, chili marinated onion (on our second visit, added since our first visit so they're still experimenting and trying out new additions which is always fun!)
as well as a few salsas. A spicy red salsa with a fair bit of cumin, delicious. A bit less spicy on our second visit than our first and well balanced. A milder green cilantro salsa that is super fresh and goes with anything and everything and a darker, smokier salsa they say to pair with the pork arabe. I prefer the red and green salsa over it as they are fresher and not as heavy. Honestly, on our first visit I barely ate the salsas, not because they weren't good but because they simply weren't needed on the tacos. On our second visit I enjoyed the red and green salsa to brighten the tacos up a bit more. This ended up longer than intended but I'm excited about this place and hope they continue to grow here. Seems to be run by a family that cares about their quality and Huntsville needs more of that. And I enjoy visiting restaurants in their experimental phases.

Oh, and they have a vastly different menu for lunch with some more variation. Hopefully we end up here earlier next time so we can try something from there.

I've found a new Authentic Mexican Restaurant. I just had lunch here. 💜 Two tacos, one steak and one chicken, seasoned potatoes and a drink. The Food was fresh, presented well, delicious, and flavorful. The tacos weren't over filled, simple, almost rustic, but filling. The Restaurant is clean, inviting and well designed. The staff were some of the friendliest I've encountered. I even enjoyed watching the TV, while I ate. I wasn't rushed. I was able to savor my food at lunchtime. This was our first visit and the staff was friendly and attentive , the restaurant was sparkling clean and our server gave a fabulous recommendation of which meats we should try for our tacos, explaining the flavors of each option. The food was the best we’ve ever tasted! So fresh and generously portioned- we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Highly recommend!!

Soon as I walked in I was greeted and walked over the menu. Every question I had was answered and when I wasn’t sure about the difference between two of the pork’s, he cooked me up some samples. EVERYTHING IS FRESH IN THIS PLACE! The meat is amazing! This place is a perfect addition to this side of town! We’ve needed a good taco spot for a minute on this side of town and I’m thankful we have this place! 10/10 recommend
