This is a nice restaurant that has been at this location many years. We ate there yesterday. Their food, service and atmosphere is very good, Prices are reasonable. If anyone is looking for a nice dining experience I highly recommend this place!

Many choices for Mexican cuisine in the area, and this one is ok. Wide variety on the menu. None of the food was bad, but none of the food stood out as excellent. Service was good, but atmosphere didn't feel particularly welcoming. Food came quickly and was hot. Steak fajitas were plentiful but lacked tenderness and flavor. Tortillas were nicely warmed but store-bought. Burrito Macho was good. No liquor available so no margaritas. Guacamole and salsa was good.

My husband and I tried this place for dinner, and the experience was ok. The food and service was good, but the atmosphere is a little lacking. I was disappointed to discover they don't serve margaritas. I can see us ordering takeout from here in the future, but I don't expect we'll be returning to dine in.

We came here for lunch and they didn’t disappoint. We had the lunch fajitas and honestly 2 people can share this. We also have the #1 lunch special with the Chile Rellenos and it was amazing. Delicious 🤤

The quality of the food has really gone down and the waiter was very rude! He had a serious attitude, almost like he didn't want to be there. The waitress who took away our plates was kind though. I used to frequent El Mariachi, but I do not plan to return.

El Mariachi is a fantastic spot for lunch! The food is always quick and delicious, especially the steak Quesadilla Jalisco, which is a must-try. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the portions are generous. And their salsa is the best in Huntsville.

You can usually tell how good the Mexican food will be by how short the waitresses are! 😃 These ladies’ charm and efficiency add to the delightful dining experience. Highly recommended!

After seeing a lot of good reviews for this Mexican Restaurant I was wondering if we ate at the same place. I gage a place by the Salsa and Chips first. This was undoubtably the worst salsa I have ever had! And I've had the best from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Cali. and a lot of places in between. I ate my beef Enchilada. Daughter couldn't eat her Cheese Enchilada. She tried 2 bites, but couldn't eat a 3rd bite. If you love Rosie's in Huntsville you will be very disappointed you shelled out your hard earned money for this place.

Worst experience ever me and my family have been eating here around 20 yrs and I took my grandmother here for her birthday I ordered the Special Dinner, my 2nd bite of my chile releno I pulled a large piece of plastic out of my mouth that is in my inside the chile. It made me so sick to my stomach I had the waitress take my food away and didn't eat. My grandmother ordered a chicken Taco salad the chicken was so tough she couldn't eat it, so she just ate around the chicken. I'm really disappointed I loved El Mariachi's until this.

This place has some of the best Mexican dishes around. They are usually quick and friendly. The building could use some updates but its good enough. The shrimp cocktail is the best i can find and that i have ever had. I have tried many places but none compare to these folks. It has a sweet flavor to it that is unmatched. They also have amazing chicken fajita nachos.

I was really on the fence with this restaurant based on the curb appeal and lack of cars most the time I drove by. I can confirm this is a great restaurant with great Mexican food. The dinning area is a little small but cozy. So far I haven't been disappointed in a menu dish yet. Come try it out.

The food was good and hot when we got it but the service wasn't the greatest. We stood there for 5 minutes without even a we'll be right with you before we got seated. At least another 5 before our drink orders were taken. We got our silver wear and 1 napkin from another table. We were checked on one time before we got the check. Also the ladies room has two toilets in one stall.

There are better places. The first thing you smell when you walk in is Fabuloso cleaner, not food. Which I guess means the place is clean, so at least there's that. The food is okay. Nothing special. Service is quick. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding but I asked the waitress if they had margaritas and she told me "no". That was pretty disappointing.

Bland food, sevice was mediocre. Taco shell was stale and so were the nacho chips. The cheese dip was not hot or seasoned. The guacamole tasted like ONLY avocado.. no cilantro or garlic and the refried beans were unappealing in taste and appearance.

Man, I've yet to be disappointed in a Mexican restaurant in the Huntsville area! This one is no exception. Great responsive service and fantastic food.

Side note:

I don't hate it but I am not a fan of vegetables in my Mexican rice. I've never seen this before going to Mexican restaurants in the Huntsville area, multiple do this. I'm from the west coast and lived in the south west near the border of Mexico, never have I seen this. I suspect this is a southern/south east adaptation. Can anyone confirm?

This was my childhood Mexican food spot, many great memories with friends and family.

Unfortunately, it has gone down hill since 2017. Food quality is still good, service is good at the surface, etc. Unfortunately when it comes to trustworthiness, it fails. I was charged $20 extra as a tip back in 2017 and finally decided to go back recently. They charge $2.25 for to go drinks now. Between the theft and penny pinching that few restaurants do, I'm done for good. Very unimpressed as of late.

I go here for dinner sometimes. (Most) of their food is good, not amazing by any means but I overall enjoy it and feel full afterwards. And I appreciate that the restaurant is really straight to the point and not super overpriced unlike a few other mexican restaurants I've been to. This place is good if you value simplicity.
