Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant

On this visit I ordered the Three Crunchy Beef Tacos meal. They were not skimpy on ingredients so it is a good value, and also delicious.

I used to come here quite often for Taco Tuesday nights with my daughter. Service was always great. About a week ago, I visited and had the worst experience ever. The food was subpar at best. The meat was dry and lukewarm. Our server dropped off our plates and never came back to check on the table. I went to the cashier and said I'd love to be able to give you the check for our meals and pay but I never got one and I haven't seen our server since he dropped our food at the table. I'd like to say I'll return but there is so much competition in Huntsville for Mexican restaurants...this will be moved to the bottom of my list for sure.

My family and I ordered take out on Sunday and they all enjoyed the food! However, I got food poisoning! It had to be the guacamole because that's the only thing only I ate. Everyone else was fine, but I'm still sick from it. Never again for me.

Went in to grab a table for 4 and stood up at the front for over 20 minutes. Note that it was not busy at all, and every eye contact I made with the waiters and/or the people who worked there, they made an effort to walk the opposite direction. As I was leaving the restaurant,
someone came out from the back just to be rude at the fact that I waited for over 20 minutes for someone to just say "hey". We ended up going to El Herradura next to chick fil a and it was incredible food and service - IMMIDIATELY.

The waiter was very rude and disrespectful she threw the plate on the table and I was waiting more than 40mins and there was not much customers it felt racially motivated NOT EVER COMING HERE AGAIN!.😠

Seven of us were given two bowls of salsa and chips to share I only wanted two tacos alacart but waiter didn't want me to order that way I did get more but got charged for a lunch special the same as my friends who got the full meal with teas and soda I just had water won't go back

Seated quickly, right music, salsa was flowing , attentive staff. Look, that chimichanga was right on. But, house margarita tasted like agave nectar and childhood trauma. Had a few sips, asked for a Corona. Didn’t want it pulled from the bill, I ordered it and drank some, so it’s on me. But they took it off anyway. Props to them. Will go back.

This place use to be AMAZING years ago. The atmosphere and service is good. BUT.....The young girl giving out chips seems unfriendly and miserable, Like she hates people and her job. Went there a few days ago and my husband got horrible food poisoning. Wont return. I thought he was gonna vomit up his intestines he was so sick. Need to check your kitchen staff and food storage and dates.

I ordered a Chicken Fajita Nacho for delivery and usually our food is decent. But tonight my Fajita nachos had maybe 3 pieces of chicken and burnt chips. I understand accidents happen, but, 3 pieces of chicken after paying $57 is uncalled for.

My order was take out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. When my order came out, I asked the person at the front door if my order was complete. He said it was that he packed it himself…I tipped him. When I got home, I was missing my extra side of Pico and the steak Fajitas were so tough that most I could not eat. I should have checked the order myself but several people were coming in and I didn’t want to hold up the line……

I asked the waiter for a water in a to go cup and because I was not finished with my margarita he did just assumed I was gonna put my margarita in the cup and he refused to bring me the to go cup to my table . When I asked him he confirmed his thought and said they would get a fine . For me it was rude just assuming something. I talked to the manager and he judtkept talking about a $500 dollars fine. What gives you the right to just assume a guest is gonna do something? I felt offended bc I myself work at this branch and I would never assume something like that. I just wanted to drink water as I enjoyed my drink and I always take the water to go. Poor service!

Nice murals on the walls. Love their chicken chimi. Have been going here for years. During the pandemic they brought it to my car. The food has never disappointed me. Lunch today was just as I expected.

I've been a regular here for years and have really liked this place. But the last several times I've gone this year, I've regretted going. The food isn't very good anymore and they have really shrunk the portions. The margaritas are mostly ice and they have fine print charging for extra chips and salsa.

Can’t rate the food because we sat for over 40 minutes with nothing. We got chips. After 20 minutes I had to go up front to ask for drinks. 20 more minutes go by, a table got sat behind us and someone took their order. We finally got up and paid for our drinks, was asked how the food was. Told them we didn’t know, never got served. No apologies or anything

First time there, food was decent that was not the issue! Everyone just seems so miserable to be working especially our waiter! He barley spoke to us, didn’t come check on us, had to flag him down just for refills. And had to grab two different other waiters just to get things for us! At one point he was stalking napkins next to us and I tried flagging him down saying excuse me, and he just looked at me and walked away from us. Very frustrating the way we were treated like he could care less about us. Probably will not be returning. Atmosphere, energy and attitude was just horrible!!

The American take on Mexican food’s taken on by Mexicans… It is authentically an American/Mexican restaurant, the chips crisp, the beer cold… mountains of totillas (hard, soft, corn) seasoned meats, cheese, beans, rice, tomato, lettuce and sauces (which comprise in some shape of form 85% of the menu) don’t disappoint.
The service is laid back, yet food comes out fast.

Order Taco salad with grilled chicken. When I got home I had grilled chicken on a salad. Never would I order a salad at a Mexican restaurant. This is strike 2. Last time ordered Tostaque got soggy uncooked corn tortilla with cold topping. Check your food before you leave!!!!!

I've been here twice. Once was during the week, and the other was a Saturday. The food is ALWAYS high quality, fresh, hot and authentic. This is my new "go to" when I'm wanting Mexican. I used to drive all the way to Meridianville, but now that I've found this gem in my town, I won't be traveling for Mexican cuisine again. Their drink specials are great, and the overall cost would fit any budget. So glad I found this restaurant!!! Ten stars!!!

We order 18 which was 5.75 and 26 was 7.75. cheese dip small 5.00 ,water,coke,was 3.00 and our total was 31 .oo which what we got don't and up . but we paid it.bc it was busy and my boyfriend didn't want me to make a fuss.make sure you're looking at ur tickets.

Always had good service and the food has always been very good. Their prices are amazing for what you get. Yesterday my wife and I stopped at Burger King and it cost more than Guadalajara did tonight. ( I am not joking as it was $2.00 cheaper than fast food for us. ) The food at Guadalajara obviously was 100 times better!

Passed this place going to Sam's club with my wife and decided to get dinner after we shopped. No wait to sit on a Friday night. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was very fun, very reasonably price. Would definitely eat here again. Next time I'm getting one of their big margaritas.

This was an incredible experience! I have had several times with great food, no problem. The fajita quesadilla [SP14A] is now the ONLY thing I will get from there now!! So tasty and incredible value for the fantastic amount!

Very good meal and good value for the price. Steak fajitas were excellent, enough for 2 meals. Shredded beef chimichanga also delicious. Margaritas are quite tasty and generous. Salsa very good. Guacamole is ok.

Lunch w/a friend, and yeah, maybe a margarita. They've remodeled since last I was here, and are doing a great job with the limitations of a global pandemic. The booths have plastic dividers between them and the wait staff wears masks in accordance with local guidelines. The wait staff, I have to say I've always thought this but it rang true on this occasion, is phenomenal. I was distracted by conversation, a low tolerance to tequila, and life in general, but they took it all in stride. Patience is a word; this was something more. If you're looking for good food at a good price, this is where you need to go.

Staff was very kind and professional. Lots of cleaning between guests being seated. Food was meh. I had a taco and it was very bland, as was a friends enchiladas. Chips and salsa were delicious as were the frozen margaritas. We plan on trying it again, maybe it was an off night.

I just love the margaritas. I think I drunk an entire pitcher last visit. Yummy. I love the chips and salsa too. I took my mother here once for lunch....always was puzzled why she picked this restaurant to meet me and explain to me how, when I was much younger, we were visited by a UFO from "outer space". As I was saying, their margaritas are good.
