This has to be one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in. So, the fact that I did not talk about the food first was intentional. I had tacos...the ground beef was not seasoned at all. I was expecting more from the tacos. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The staff was really nice and I would be willing to return to try something else but not the tacos. The chips and salsa were good, and so was the dip.

Food was pretty good, service was great even for our large group. They even helped us take a group photo at the fountain they have inside near the entry way. Great atmosphere.
Food came out fast. Chili relleno batter was thick and dense, not the way I like it but still tasty. Soft taco was good.

Prior to coming, I read a lot of negative reviews, so I came there with optimistic thoughts and was looking for the positives to just see if folks were being hyper-critical.
Food
It was alright, nothing to write home about. On par with Rosie's or other Tex-Mex around the area. I’ve been spoiled by other Mexican food around the country, so this is par for the course in this region.
Wife got Fish Tacos with Rice and Beans. They were grilled, no option for fried, and she liked it! She was not a fan of the rice and beans, pretty bland.
I got a California Burrito, I missed the burritos from California (especially THE California burritos from there) and if I had to rate it, I’d give it a 3 out of 5. Very hollow for what I was expecting, BUT there were fries in the burrito in true California burrito fashion, unlike the other burritos with the same name in the area.
Overall, for the price, 3 out of 5.
Service
This was a 2 out of 5 - We were there for just over an hour, and we got one drink refill, even after the staff stopped by with our app and entree. Eventually, when we were done, they asked if we needed anything and got our refills.
This isn’t a knock at the staff, but they did not seem happy to be there. Maybe some bad news came in or something?
Atmosphere
Definitely a 4 out of 5. Very similar to other Tex-mex joints around here, very clean (but they just opened around the time of this review, so it may change) and the tables, menus, bathrooms all looked great!
Major kudos to the owners for all the pictures of their food, both on their menu and on their site. Deserts all looked great, and the photos were well lit and appeared to be taken professionally.
TL;DR: In closing, this is very much like most other Hispanic restaurants around here, and their location, they’ll do good, especially during the week with base traffic. I hope for their success and with our location, we’ll surely be back to check in on it.

Ridiculously priced. Happy hour is a joke. Happy hour drinks are super sweet and house tequila might not be the best quality. But the prices on food are the highest I've seen at any Mexican restaurant and the regular drink prices keep me from drinking. All ice ...
This defeats the purpose of Mexican. $17.99 for one menu item? Fajita burrito etc?
Wouldn't serve the lunch menu prices at 3:02. The computer won't allow it. I get it but we sat down and ordered drinks before that.

We went during the early afternoon. The owners did a great job on the large interior and atmosphere. We were seated right away. Fresh chips and salsa were bought out soon after we sat down. I had a regular Margarita. My wife had sweet tea and said it was really good. My margarita was thick and tasted great. The menu is filled with great looking dishes, some of which I wouldn’t consider standard Mexican fare. I ordered the Lafuente Chimichanga my wife ordered a cheese quesadilla, and guacamole salad. Both our dishes were delicious. We both are looking forward to making a return trip to try new dishes.

It's good, but not as good as other Mexican restaurants in the area. I ordered a dish that said it had cheese sauce on the chicken. It only had a little so they added more for me. I was not impressed with the chips and salsa.

Huntsville's mexican restaurants have all been sorely lacking in my opinion since my husband and I moved here from New Mexico but this restaurant is actually decent. Give it a go you won't regret it. It's better than Rosie's and any other place in town, we will be coming back. ALSO their daiquiries are excellent.

Overall, this is a decent Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas were good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I'll likely visit again.

Not the most authentic food; it's definitely tuned to the American Southern palate. You could see that as a plus or a minus, depending on how much you like authentic Tex-Mex.
That said: it's wholesome, tasty, filling, everything you want from a local restaurant. Fast, friendly service, very clean overall even a year or two after opening. I'm a regular, and I don't plan to stop coming.
If I could change one thing, I wish it was just a little cheaper. But I say that about every restaurant these days, not just this one.

Sat at the bar around 7:45 Saturday night. Restaurant was pretty slow. Got our drinks and food came out quick. We ran out of drinks and bartender was gone for over 15 minutes. Tried to get attention of any other restaurant staff but everyone was heads down. Didn't see any managers either. Finally, a bunch of restaurant staff and the bartender emerged from an empty side room of the restaurant. Got our check and paid. The staff are nice here so it was a disappointing experience that we couldn't get a little bit of service when we needed it.

Wow! First time visit. Impressed !! I was greeted with a friendly smile, the restaurant was exceptionally clean (unlike many now-a-days), and the food was fantastic. Everything was hot and fresh. Chips warm and salsa obviously made fresh “NOT” a jar or can. Oh and the price extremely reasonable and portions more than I could eat in one sitting. I highly recommend Le Fuente on the corner of Zierdt & Martin right outside Gate 7. Perfect for quick lunch or perfect Mexican dining experience. I love Mexican food and definitely coming back.

I really hope they will get better! Food was bland, no real taste and what had taste was not great at all. Chips were stale and no flavor. Dip was super greasy and over spiced. Shrimp and rice plate was mediocre at best. I was very disappointed as I had high expectations. And for the price, it was so not worth it. The building is clean, spacy and beautiful. The server was just not it. Barely understood english and what I asked for. Then disappeared and didn't come back until someone else had come taken my money and I was leaving. Not impressed here at all. I'm hoping it's new business issues they will work through soon.

I would have given them a 1 but I did like the beans and rice. The beef was disgusting I couldn’t eat it. It was WAY overpriced for the amount of food you get…one small taco, a side of beans and a side of rice… with a tip almost $15!….insane! My chips were stale and my salsa cup was half full. I’ll go back and try dinner and something different to give them another chance but I wouldn’t get any beef!

Jesus our server was very polite. They give the tiniest saucer of salsa I've ever seen at a Mexican restaurant lol the food is more expensive than other places, but I'm not sure the taste/quality was better.
Maybe I'm just acting picky because it's the furthest Mexican restaurant in Madison from my house!

By far one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Huntsville! I work nearby and had been anticipating their opening since they poured the foundation. I went during their opening week and they did not disappoint. I had the Chimichanga Supreme and it came out HOT and FAST. Other times I've had the Al Pastor Tacos, and Faijita Burrito. The service has always been amazing and the management staff always comes over and asks if there's any thing we need. I've been completely impressed by the decor, employees, and how well they run the restaurant even though they just opened. Also, check out their website, they have their full menu with pictures - no other restaurant has that! Definitely check out La Fuente, they have a bright, new, and fresh vibe about them.

BLUF: This Mexican restaurant has exceeded nearly every expectation I had. Details below. Order the fajitas hawaianas and you will thank me later. I'm officially hungry again after writing this review.
Excited to have a La Fuente location much closer to where we live and work. We've eaten there 3 times now (one was take out for lunch during the work week) and really enjoyed each visit.
I'm a visual person so the highest kudos goes to whoever made the menu for this location. The menu allows you to eat with your eyes first and not second guess what the dish will look like or have to scan hundreds of review photos trying to figure out if that dish is right for you or your kid.
Something I've never seen anywhere else is a margarita flight. I took a picture to show some friends what they were missing. Had a blast trying different flavors. I was a little impatient waiting for the first flight but then it was pointed out that it's like making 4 small drinks so it's going to take a little longer than just the one.
We've tried 3 different fajitas entrees now and they are just as yummy as their other locations. Food was fast during dinner and even faster during the lunch hour rush. They said it would take about 15min and the quesadilla was actually ready in about 11-12min so this place is a great option for most folks on base.
Large open atmosphere with no shortage of TVs to stay locked in during any sport season. Music isn't too loud so you don't have to yell to maintain a conversation. Easy enough to get in and out of the parking lot and the spaces feel extra wide kind of like Costco. Some of the staff was in training so answers to some of our questions took a little longer but we chalk that up to a temporary challenge.
Published a year ago
La Fuente is always a great choice no matter the location! I had an awesome margarita flight as well as their taco salad! The service was wonderful and you can tell they are trained well. The owner even stopped by the table to check in on us!
I highly recommend. Great for date night or family gatherings !

The outside is pretty, but the inside is very nice. Bright, spacious. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked, the sinks are stainless and huge. The chips and salsa were good. However, they don't have kids drinks, apparently, bc my two kids got milk for $3.25, the same price as my tea, in addition to their kids meals. We liked the food and the atmosphere, but we will think twice before going back as a family. Tip and all, no alcoholic beverages, two kids meals, and two of the less expensive adult meals on the menu, it cost us $75.

The waitress was very inattentive. We were still looking at menu can u give us a few mins. She walks to other end told her again she just stood there. We never got refills. On drinks or chips. Over half of us eat our meal with no refill. Never checked on how the food was or tasted or nothing. Asked the check 10 mins after asking for it and then twenty mins for her to come back pick it up. I finally got up and about to go the counter and pay where other people was and she like oh your ready to pay.
The food was better than Talums down the street. If your going to charge almost 3.50 for Pepsi or tea then u should give refills to go with the chips.
The whole service issue was my biggest problem

My family and I were in the mood for Mexican food, so I suggested La Fuente since coworkers have been saying how delicious it is. My son ordered the baked fish plate, my husband ordered Pollo Feliz, and I had the Stuffed Burrito with chicken. The Burrito was delicious. My son and hubby were pleased with their meals. 😋 I also ordered the white cheese dip, and it was delicious and spicy. The great things about La Fuente are: The restaurant is beautiful 😍, the atmosphere has a good vibe with nice Spanish music playing, and I liked that there are several televisions throughout the restaurant to watch. Also, the servers are friendly, and the food aroma matches the delicious taste. Oh, and best of all, you won't break the bank for a party of three. Our meals, beverages, and desserts were under $80.00.
We will be back again for more.

Went on a Friday evening and it was reasonably busy but no wait on seating
Pros: after our server had to grab another server to translate, they were able to sub my rice and beans for veggies that were very tasty
Cons: no water refills and we were there for 1.5 hours, it was hard to flag down our server she kept disappearing. Touching on the slow service, it took about 40 mins to get our food. Chip refills OK but limited salsa refills. I thought they forgot my veggies but they came out right after we had finished our meal so I just got a to go box for them. Lights above tables are extremely harsh. Quality of food….just ok.
Honestly, not great experience overall. I think we’ll stick to our usual non-chain haunt down the road.

We dealt with several servers that seemed to have a hard time understanding us. For instance, I asked twice about getting a booth AWAY from a window and the guy said yes, yes and we ended up at a booth at the window even though we were one of the first customers that day and what we wanted was available. I didn't fuss since it was at least overcast that day and my eyes are extremely sensitive. There were too many interruptions while we were trying to enjoy the food and they kept asking how everything is. Let's go for that happy medium where you ask only once or twice. The food was O.K., nothing special in my opinion. The only other thing I didn't care for is that the tip addition starts at 20% and goes up from there.

My wife and I, had lunch today (1/4/24); our first visit. The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff was very attentive and helpful. I had a combination plate that included a hard ground beef taco, chicken enchilada, beans & rice. My wife had a hard ground beef taco and all beans, no rice. The taco's were well-seasoned, the chicken enchilada had a nice flavor, the rice had some carrots, onion & perhaps celery(?); very good. The refried beans were fairly salty and we weren't really able to enjoy them as we would've liked to - this happens to all cooks, some times a little too much of something gets added and you can't undo it. My taco was getting pretty soggy, as it was lying in the enchilada sauce. If the taco could be separated somehow on the plate from liquids, or placed on in a taco holder/separate plate, it would sure help out. Overall, nice job guys and welcome to the neighborhood! Today I ordered the steak quesadilla, it came out hot, was a large serving with gooey cheese and well cooked steak that was not chewy at all. It was only $9! My husband ordered the burrito it was large and very good and only $6! Even my 3 year old enjoyed his kids quesadilla and he rarely eats anything at restaurants. The chips and salsa was good and fresh as well. The inside of the restaurant is very festive and clean. The waitstaff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more of their delicious food!

I ate here for the first time this week since they opened not long ago, and I was surprisingly impressed. I had the veggie feliz while my husband had the Mexican flag burrito. I enjoyed my food. It came out hot and the flavor was good. I would gladly go back and try other dishes.

Good food and service. Prices are good too. I am glad that they opened this location, we need more restaurants in the area.

The place is very nice and family oriented. I think there was a break down in communication at times and the waitress (who was nice) was not as familiar with the menu. When our food came out the male cooks or servers were not patient because first I didn’t understand one of them so well.
Later the waitress gave me the ticket and instead of walking away so I could review my ticket, she stood there waiting for payment. Instead of allowing her to loom I informed her I would use the QT code to pay. The drinks were especially good as well as the food for the most. The rice and beans were a bit bland.
The manager walked around to check on customers which was very nice.
I definitely would come back and recommend this restaurant.

So far looks to be a nice place, it's clean after we eat some food and try some things I'll update my post.
Update to this post.
So we had the Steak Chimichangas and Queso dip w/ chips. Only thing we didn't care for was the Salsa, it was very liquidity and vinagary tatsing. The atmosphere was great , service was quick(got our food within mins), waitress was nice. Over all I would recommend this place for a quick dinner for you or your family.

The Margarita Flights are a nice touch and were so good. I had a Steak Chunk chimi, but it came out as ground beef. Not what I was expecting but was still good. Really enjoyed the meal... hubby and I will definitely be returning.

Great atmosphere, great service (our waitress was very attentive and checked on us multiple times), good food. The margaritas were EXCELLENT, we got a couple flights and my husband got a large blackberry margarita. The food was good, I got the enchiladas and my husband had the chimichanga. They're still improving as they just opened 12/17, we will definitely be coming back!!

Food took entirely way way too long. Servers seemed a bit angry - might give it another chance.

Great spot right outside of the gate and near a lot of the neighborhoods in the Triana Madison area. For being the first week that they're open service was exceptional and the food was great. The lunch specials looked really appealing as well so I will definitely come here again.

Service issues, I realize they're new, so they need to work out the bugs.

Long wait time for orders and rude staff.

Waitress was non-existent and rude. Horrible service. 11 waiters hanging out around front but no service. Does not offer any military discount. Acted insulted I asked. Food was ok and very expensive. My meal was $32 for food only for one person. They added additional charges over the menu prices. Will not be back.

This place has started off strong! Having only been open 4 days, the food is great, service is great and I will definitely come back. I got a Chicken Chimichanga at lunch and it was cooked well, the chicken has good seasoning, and the rice and beans were good. I also got a side of queso that was pleasantly delicious. I will definitely be coming back and will update my review as time goes on, but for now, easy 5 stars.
