The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture till the end! The service was on point! Restrooms were clean, and they had tvs everywhere to watch. Love this place!! So worth the drive to eat there!

We have one of these in the Birmingham/Inverness area and it is great. So it was interesting eating at the same establishment somewhere else. And you know what? Just as great!

Big menu, friendly service, delicious food! It is not super expensive or super cheap but you get what you pay for. Big portions, so leftovers for that midnight snack. Love the elephant foot Big beer mugs and wife loves the giant margaritas too. Good decor and atmosphere. You can't really tell how nice it is from the outside, but it is.

The food was very good. They weren't extremely busy for a trivia night. it would be the equivalent to the restaurant being filled to 80% capacity, but the service was lacking. our waitress was really sweet, but we never got refills. Even though our glasses were empty in the middle of our mealm then once our plates were empty, we waited 25 min for our receipt. we didn't have anywhere to be which was fine. I was happy with the food being amazing. I wish athens location would learn to make their food as well as this location

They routinely alter the tip amounts on receipts. I’ve been there several times, and every single time, the tip was modified. Once, I had to contact my credit card company to get a refund, but I’m honestly fed up with it. The food is great, but it’s such a shame. You just can’t enjoy your meal with peace of mind, so I won’t be going back. If you don’t mind having your money stolen, then I’d recommend it.

Well on 12/13/24 we came to this restaurant unfortunately,the waitress could barely speak English but we tried to work with her because she was very nice but my food order was wrong. I ordered 3meat quesadillas but I got only chicken so manager I assume came and asked me what I order and it was corrected. I don’t know what they said to her but she spoke to a male waiter who turned around looked at me and rolled his eyes at me. But here’s the thing the food was good but later that night I got sick, my daughter was sick from the food so never again. So in the near future instead of her coworker rolling his eyes help your coworker take a menu home and go over it with her because she was very nice and she wasn’t the one who cooked the food…..

Being from Texas it is VERY hard to find decent Mexican food. I did not like the guacamole (too creamy) I said something to the waitress and a manager came immediately to my table. It is hard to find charro or borracho beans here and he brought me charro beans to try. They were good but not as spicy as I’m used to so I added pico to them and they were perfect. I will go back! The enchiladas rancheras were the BEST!

The manager was very unprofessional!!! I had booked a Christmas party in September 2024 for Dec 14, 2024(500pm for 30 people)I checked weekly usually on Mondays just for confirmation. On Monday December 9, 2024 the manager informed me that he had a party of 50 people at 700pm on the same day, and he will call me back . I asked why, he stated “50 people is more MONEY than 30”. Long story short he call Saturday December 14, 2024 at 100pm for confirmation of my party of 30 at 500pm!!

We received the wrong order through DoorDash, and the manager told us he would remake our order, we just had to pick it up since they did not have drivers. He said this issue has been going on all day, so clearly there is a breakdown between the drivers and the restaurant when handing out food. When we went to go pick up our correct order, they would not give it to us because we did not bring the other order with us ( He did not say to do this, all he said was he would remake the order and we needed to pick it up). Manager was very rude through this entire process and kept telling us he didn’t have to do this and this isn’t his problem and that we were the ones responsible for checking the name on the order, despite not being the delivery driver or the employee responsible for handing out the food. After the exchange, he wanted us to go home and make a second trip so that we could pick up our food that was supposed to be delivered. When we said we weren’t coming back, he refused a refund and continue to have a nasty attitude the entire time saying that none of this was his fault or his problem.

I think its unfair that if there are customers sitting and watching a game and another customer comes in and request the TV be turned to what they want to watch, I would think that the manager would ask if we were watching the game that was on. We are regulars and when we asked the manager if he could change the TV back he said "they asked first" well how were we supposed to know that we had to request to keep the TV on that channel? The right thing to do is be considerate and ask if we were watching this game before turning the TV. He told us that we could "turn around" mind you we are at the bar! Well why they can't sit in a booth where they could watch the game of there choice? Call it what you want black vs white is always the problem! The manager was rude when all we did was ask a question. He walked away when we were asking "why we were not asked if we were watching the TV in front of the bar" mind you this couple is sitting in a booth right next to the bar with a TV directly in front of them. It's all good we will take our regular business elsewhere, they are not the only place to enjoy margaritas and a variety of football games! All these tips in here have the same game! Never ever will I go there again!

Love the bartender, been here since 11am watching football. Along comes a white man @ 12:30 and the mgr changed the channel for him to watch a game. When we ask the mgr to change just one Tv back to the game we were watching, his response was the man asked first to change the tv to the game he wanted to watch. Mind you every TV except was on the game the white man wanted to watch.

I'm not a fan of any Mexican restaurant that serves packaged flour tortillas. Not made in-house. The actual dishes served are good but the whole store-bought/packaged tortillas kills it for me.

We asked for a bean and beef burrito with rice and beans with cheese sauce.The waitress assumed we wanted a regular burrito with an additional side of rice. We got your beef burrito and a side of rice , instead of a serving of rice and beans. We asked for a manager, and like the waitress, he was rude as well. I asked for his manager and he said he WAS the manager. A few minutes later, a waitress came by to ask what the problem was, we explained and just asked for a side of refried beans. What we got looked like puréed beans. We were charged for whatever the waitress thought we ordered. Hispanic waitresses should be able to understand enough English to take an order. I had to go to the bar to order another beer because she never came back to the table. I paid for that beer on a separate ticket. I’m a restaurant manager of 30 plus years years, This should never happen.

The food is just great and comes out fast. Portions are also very generous, like you would expect from a Mexican cantina.

I only had a couple of issues with drinks over time, but it's more of a staffing problem than a lack of care. Who doesn't struggle with staffing these days though...

Food was overcooked and dry. Strongly suspect I was served microwaved lunch leftovers. Cashier didn't know what she was doing and had to get help. Checkout process was interminable.

Will NOT be getting takeout again if Noel is working. Orders with him are always wrong, items are still missing after being told they are in the bag and they REFUSED to give a refund. I was told I could drive back 20 minutes to get the missing item - they didn't even offer to replace the wrong item. This only happens when this manager is working. Food is absolutely excellent otherwise and great value for the price, as long as your order is actually correct.

Burrito Mexicano is not good. "Pork tips" overcooked. Hard as a rock and full of gristle. I strongly feel I've been served at least day old food. Cannot recommend at all.

I prefer to hold my tongue on these things, but every time I have gone the service has been the absolute worst. I don't know if it's because I go by myself, so they choose to not waste any hospitality on me, but I can't ever catch a break it seems. I get left for the entirity of my meal by the waiter after my order is taken, I don't even see them until they come with the receipt. I am left with random servers coming up to refill my drink or bring me my food. God forbid I don't have something brought with me food, I spend 20 minutes waiting for someone to come back so that I can get my tortillas and eat my now cold food. There food is so good, I wish the service was better. Just because I am eating alone does not mean I don't need my drink refilled or checked to see if the food is satisfactory. I have never in my life left a tip less then 20% but tonight I left a fat 0 right on that line because I wasn't about to tip the guy I saw twice the entire hour and 30 minutes I was there.

It's alright, just wayyyy too expensive for what it is. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the area that are much better and more reasonably priced. The atmosphere was good and our server was good but we paid $40+ for 2 drinks and chips and a small cheese.

It's always a great time when we come to Los Trojas. The ONLY reason I 4-starred the atmosphere, this time, was because their karaoke/trivia DJ was wired WAY too hot into the house speakers, to the point it sounded like hot garbage. I thought the speakers were about to blow from rattling.

Good food, nice people there. Meals are a bit pricey but it's like everything else that's gone up in price so I can't fault them for that. I usually get a to-go order and when I arrive it's ready to be picked up or if I go there and make a to go order, I don't have to wait long. I give it a 4/5

This has become a favorite place for me and my husband, because it’s conveniently located, serves good portions of good food, and has options on their menu that I can eat with my dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is often noisier than I like, but not excessively so. It’s sometimes a challenge to navigate with my game because of how close together the tables of chairs can be, and as far as I know, they do not offer accessible menu. I think it might be difficult to navigate inside with a wheelchair, too, I don’t like to Impose my limited imagination on other peoples abilities. Just my hypothesis. All in all, great praise for lunch or so long as you don’t mind a decent bit of background noise and can handle minor navigational challenges.

The Downfall of my favorite local Mexican Restaurant. My family used to visit this restaurant 1-2 a week. We love Mexican food and it is actually the closest restaurant to our home. The past 3 years it has slowly declined and it has reached the point to we will not visit again.

I am not sure how they always mess up a ground beef quesadilla, but 70% of the time the past year it has not been correct. I usually end up with shredded beef. The last time I visited before today I stressed Ground Beef in the phone. Asked the gentleman at the front of the restaurant to please check it is ground beef. I get home and it is shredded beef.

Today we stressed Ground Beef and I just check it and it is shredded beef again. I'm on my 30 minute lunch break and have to wait on them to fix it. I get home with the new order and my quesadillas are swimming in aluminum pan full of grease, literally sliding around in the pan. There is little to no cheese to be found (See the picture yourself).

At this point I am putting my food back in the bag and now going to waste ALL of my lunch break as I have to go get a refund. They give me my refund, but say they will not refund the To-Go fee? I have to wait on you to fix my food, and then you send me home with something inedible and have to come back. And you're going to not refund that? The young lady I interacted with made sure to stress the no refund on the to-go fee, but no apology for the problem.

We won't be back. I will drive further to somewhere else and I recommend everyone else do the same. Look at the picture below, can you believe these are $7.99 a piece?

Ayer domingo fuimos a comer y pasar un rrato agradable a las trojas, todo estuvo relativamente bien, pero esta ves es al segunda ves que notó esto, hago llamado a los dueños del restaurante para que sepan que es tiempo de ir remplazando las los platos ,ya que están completamente desgastados, y creo que es un poco desagradable para el restaurante. The man that brought out our food with oven mits on put mine and my boyfriends food down an said the plate was hot an then left mine on the corner of the table away from me so my boyfriend had to use his bare hands to move it to me. Then we complained and constantly had ppl coming to ask if we were ok. Couldn't even enjoy or finish the meal. Absolutely the worst.

It is not okay to speak in another language and look at people while ther eating and laughing. We were seated and chose to move to another table, then the waitress said something in Spanish, and the people spoke Spanish back and looked at us and stated, laughing. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. I will not give my money to a company that won't respect me as a paying customer.

This was my second time at this location. Both times things were a little less than good. The glocomole and a pico de gal was not fresh. The person that brought the food from the kitchen (not a server) Wasn't very friendly , didn't speak clear enough english to understand well , and seems like he was having a bad.
I had the same food from the same restaurant in Hazel Green ,and the food and the staff were much better.

I've ordered the same thing for 3 years a migeals pizza no chicken double chorizo instead and a side of shredded cheese. 2 extra charges that have never happened before showed up on my bill, without even being informed of a possible upcharge. 1st) that chorizo instead of chicken it's now an upcharge 2nd) shredded cheese = $3.25 for less than a handful. I receive my order of shredded cheese and comment 'wow yall r giving almost half of what u use" she ask do u need more I said yes, and then she brought me more and my check was charged for it without telling me I would be charged extra. They were always overpriced but this is now ridiculous.

We had a girls night out & Las Trojas gave us the BEST TIME! We were there on a Thursday night during the Trivia game & our bunch came in 2nd place & won a $30 gift card! Definitely going back. Waitress was very pleasant & got all our orders right!

Always consistent food. Service can be spotty sometime. Servers seems to talk to each other a bit and refills can come slow. Fun atmosphere for a gathering or birthday celebration. Seems that portion sizes are decreasing, and that is probably due to rising costs. My wife ordered her normal meal for dinner, and what she got was the size of the normal lunch portion.

I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and this one stole my heart. The beans and rice are amazing, the inside is beautiful and the service is awesome.
I'll be coming back here often.
