Food is consistently great, at good prices, the best Taqueria in Huntsville! The Hombre that runs the cash register could be a little more friendly 😆.
The owner came by our table the last time we were there and was very gracious for our patronage!

It's been 6 years since I was there last, and I still remember it. The food is amazing, the ambiance is like home at a market.
Pure authenticity, no phoney Mexican/latin dishes. This is the real deal. The servers might not speak English, but that's not why you come here.
The portions are more than adequate, and I highly recommend the horchata.

This humble place will leave your mouth watering, your wallet full, and your eyes looking for more delights.

Their authentic food is spot on but their prices, service, and noticeable lack of interest in sharing an authentic eating experience makes me say they need work with crossing the communication barriers the staff have to interact with the customer base they serve.

Authentic Mexican food. Best taco trucks in town. The restaurant version in South Huntsville has a salsa bar, and free chips and beans. There is a drive thru version in Madison. If you can't fix it with green sauce, use more green sauce.

Reeeallly good fish tacos that prevent me from trying anything else on the menu. The quality of the fish tacos tell me that the rest of the foot must be good, but man, it’s really hard to fine good fish tacos anywhere else. I’ve never eaten at the restaurant so I’m not sure if they have hot sauce options on the tables. If they don’t then that’s the only issue I have with the restaurant.

But even if the rest of the foot is awful, I would still come back for the fish tacos. Maybe I’ll try another option when I get a raise and can just buy two entrees.

My fiance wanted me to try this place one Saturday afternoon, I did, and I loved it! We have been going there ever since and come here to eat every Saturday. They have a wide variety of toppings for whatever plate you get. The green sauces are my favorite. And they have cucumbers peeled and ready to eat with Lime and Salt! My Favorite! OOH and They're street tacos are so delicious. I would highly recommend the tostadas.

There is always plenty of food for the money. Some other places just dont give you enough filling in the tacos. Ask for the spicy pork.

In my opinion, El Cazador is the best Mexican food in HSV. There are over 50 menu items to choose from. VERY AUTHENTIC. For the common American favorites, best tacos, burritos, and quesadillas around. But be adventurous and try some lesser know Mexican dishes--haven't had a bad one yet! Mojara Frita (pan fried whole Tilapia is amazing)! They have a pico de gallon bar with a great variety of salsas--mild to hot. Also chips and pint beans. As for 'atmosphere'', this is a working man's hang out with a big crowd of blue collar workers during meal hours. They di a great job serving fast, but during peak hour the tables can get a bit messy. Overall, the keep it clean outside of the rush. Try El Cazador. You wont be disappointed.

Garbage food, unless you love rice as 1/3 of meal. A Carne asada burrito should be Carne asada, Lettuce, Pico, shredded cheese, Guacamole, and sour cream. Not 1/2lb of rice as a filler!..

Finally a place in Alabama that can stand its ground with tacos from other states. First place I’ve been to that uses corn tortillas, onion and cilantro. Entire state is basically Tex mex . This is the closest thing you’ll get to an authentic experience. If you see a place that says “cheese dip” on the menu, steer clear, they’re doing it wrong. This place is the real deal

Between the angry stares and refusal of acknowledgement from the workers, the faint smell of urine and other unclean odors throughout the restaurant, the dirty tables, the unsanitary, uncleaned salsa bar and the overpriced tacos, we were beyond disappointed in this place. The fish seemed fresh enough was about the only positive. Best tacos in Huntsville my left foot. Not sure why so many 5 star reviews.

Amazing tamales! It’s been hard to find some since leaving San Antonio and these are up there!
The staff and team are so quick to respond and very helpful.
At pickup the men up front wouldn’t let me try and carry the big containers to my car because they were so ridiculously heavy, and insisted they helped me while I wrangled my two boys, and our lunch order. Absolutely a hsv staple.

I've been looking for real (and real good) Mexican food in Huntsville, that doesn't come from a taco truck. I've tried to eat at several places, this one is a sit down location, an actual taqueria. It is so so good. I recommend the chillaquilles (if you like spicy breakfast) and the quesabirria tacos (if you want a great deal).

El Cazador is not really about atmosphere or stellar service. It is a no frills, walk up and order, authentic Mexican eat and run Taqueria with a tip jar at the register. They then bring it to your table. The plates are ceramic and the silverware is plastic. You eat and then clean up after yourself as best you can, and then toss your plate in a bus tray on a cart and everything else in a garbage can.

The food is good, the service is adequate, and there is a "serve yourself bar" that comes with every meal. This bar is a really nice touch. Everything you need is on it - tortilla chips and several different sauces/salsas from mild to wild on the spicey scale, charro beans, pico de gallo, sliced radishes, cucumbers, pickled carrots with onions and peppers, etc. I LOVE the pickled carrots with onions and peppers. You have got to tryn them. They are almost worth the trip by themselves.

My most sreious beef with the place is the fact that their drink choices are limited to those super sweet, colored Mexican drinks in the clear fountain dispenser machines, and things in a cooler that come in cans or bottles - pretty much a few soft drink choices and bottled water. I like my Mexican food spicey, and want to wash it down with plenty of iced tea, and this simply isn't possible at El Cazador. If this ever changes I will gladly up it to 5 stars, but until then, 4 stars it must be.

Love eating here. The salsa and sauces are amazingly authentic. If you want real Mexican food go here. Don’t expect too much on the inside though as it’s a hole in the wall but the food always makes up for it.

Guy answered the phone by saying hello as if he was on his personal cell phone. Totally unprofessional for one. I order 7 steak tacos and they were smaller than the palm of my hand and paid $21. Will not be returning. I used to order here 3-4 years ago when the tacos were actually worth the money but not anymore. More shells than meat. I’ll be trying out the Taco truck next time for half the price.

Polo provided catering for our wedding rehearsal dinner and it was perfect. Plenty of food plates garnishing and sauces.
He showed up right on time. Everyone loved the tacos. I couldn’t be more pleased. It was outstanding!

This is the only Mexican restaurant that doesn’t have me guessing what I ate after a few hours . The burritos are spectacular! I always ask for spice in it, the burritos are huge & they have no problem serving me , I love this place.

A real Mexican restaurant y'all. The menu on the wall was in Spanish and when they bring your order out, they call out the order number in Spanish. I ordered the steak tacos, my friends got the empanada and the tamales. We had no problem eating everything brought before us. Very delicious, 10/10 would recommend and return.

First time eating here and will definitely be back! This is AUTHENTIC mexican food. None of that Los Arcos or Rosies type where they just drench cheese on everything and call it a mexican meal. This is real Mexican food just like our mom’s make. The restaurant itself is neat and well cleaned. It’s nothing fancy but they take pride in it and you can tell. Service is great and the food is made fresh and in a timely manner. Not expensive. 5 stars!

Taqueria El Cazador is a small hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that doesn’t look like much on the outside but I was blown away by how delicious they’re Quesabirria was! It’s the last option on the menu and as the saying goes they “Saved the best for last.” If your down south parkway in Huntsville you’ve gotta give this place a try.

My family and I LOVE this place! The fresh salsa bar is incredible! 😍 Tacos, burritos, tamales, quesadillas, enchiladas, guacamole, menudo, chile rellenos, chimichangas, they have it all!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely worst service there could be! We visited last week and I wish I could give zero stars. Zombie like staff unwilling to do anything beyond taking your money and handing out food. If you could look beyond the rudeness and dirty restaurant, the food may be okay. Uncovered salsa bar with no sneeze guard and shared utensils just gross. About half of everyone in this dive don't wear masks so you can be sure to get some COVID to go. Has potential to be better than Taco Bell. But isn't!

Personal como un zombi que no está dispuesto a hacer nada más que tomar su dinero y repartir comida. Si pudiera mirar más allá de la mala educación y el restaurante sucio, la comida puede estar bien. Barra de salsa descubierta sin protector contra estornudos y utensilios compartidos simplemente asquerosos. Aproximadamente la mitad de todos en esta inmersión no usan máscaras, por lo que puede estar seguro de obtener algo de COVID para llevar. Tiene potencial para ser mejor que Taco Bell. ¡Pero no lo es!
