Their Birria is bomb 💣 🔥!!!! Sooo good. The consome is drinkable!! I cannot sing its praises enough. Carne asada fries are pretty good as well. Their salsa is what's expected for Alabama, not great but just ok and a little tomatoey. Chili Colorado sauce has the perfect billable heat. Yum.

So this is like the 6th time I've gotten cheese dip and it's basically been milk soup. We go often and plenty of times it has been super good. There is just an inconsistency in quality at this locations and because of this we likely will find a new place to visit. When the food is good it's really good, but when it's bad it's inedible and not worth the expense.

La comida estaba increíble.
The food was amazing. This is a taqueria so there’s no way to not get a taco. We got the meag taco and the fish one, and I gotta say the fish tacos took the prize. They were amazing. The ceviche tostadas were algo great but a bit too sweet. With an extra squeeze of lemon and some hot spot they definitely hit the spot

I’m originally from Atlanta Georgia, i recently moved here for work and have been looking for a decent birria taco restaurant. I found this one on google so i decided to try it. When i got there i seen that the tacos were 11.50 for the 3 tacos so i decided to get another one and a pineapple jorito.

I gave him a $20 bill and he gave me 11 cents with no receipt and didn’t disclose how much extra the taco was because he walked away so fast. By the time he came back i asked him and he said $4.50 for 1 extra taco which in my opinion is crazy because in Atlanta i would’ve paid $15 for 4 tacos and a drink. When i told him i didn’t want the extra taco he basically forced me to get it by saying they were already making it which honestly is unprofessional.

When he handed me my food his excuse was meat was at a high price right now but honestly that has nothing to do with me as a customer & I will not be returning to this establishment.

With all the places to eat in the Research Park area, this has to be my favorite. With a huge menu of authentic Mexican cuisine, that can be customized for a personal touch.
I would recommend the pork chilaquiles with green sauce and eggs over easy so the yolk runs into the meal.
The service is great, and food comes out fast. Great for those with a short lunch break.

I was given the wrong order of tacos and I asked to make sure that I didn't have any with my allergy, stating I had that allergy. I was told I had my order. He was wrong and after I was done throwing up (still at the restaurant), I asked for a new plate with my correct order. I was still made to pay for my food and he guy at the counter/that took my order tried to make me pay for the second plate too, even though I was actually vomiting from the mistake they made. I've also been sick since and this was four days ago. I was accused of trying to get free food despite me saying I had an allergy and getting sick. I also was given three tacos instead of four since I ate one, which is the one that made me sick in the first place.

I also think it's not enough food for it's price but 😕 bigger issues here than that. the other times I've been there were fine, maybe a 3-4 star

The food was basic and good but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. My main complaint would be the plain queso I paid 3.25 for and the watery refried beans. Service was great. Strange to pay on someone's cell phone. Window says "Now Open" and when I asked, they've been open 3 years.

Dropped in to get a quick bite to go. The service and the birria tacos were great! They made sure to pack plenty of napkins because the tacos got pretty messy but it was a 10/10 on taste. I've long heard whispers that this taqueria has some of the best Mexican food in town. Got to try it out on Wednesday and although I don't think I quite agree with that assessment (at least wrt what I had), I did have a very pleasant time.

There's plenty of space to park, though the parking lot itself has a couple of potholes to watch out for. While the outside is unremarkable, the inside of the restaurant is really quite nicely decorated and appeared spotless to me. There was a decent sized lunch crowd of mostly engineer types -- I imagine the proximity to the Arsenal and the Space and Rocket Center is quite a draw.

I walked up to order at the counter and was somewhat taken aback by the size of the menu. Menu items are posted with corresponding pictures and there's a lot to choose from! The gentleman at the cashier -- Pedro, iirc -- was exceedingly pleasant and patient with my waffling. He offered to answer any questions I had. Eventually, I wound up with one of my usual Mexican go-tos: sopes con pollo, with a small side of queso blanco. I was sorely tempted by the aguas frescas on the wall (and the horchata!), but kept it to a can of Coke Zero.

There's a good bit of seating inside so I helped myself to a booth in the corner and admired the beautiful colors on the walls and in the art. A waitress came out with chips, salsa, and my queso. I've seen some folks say chips and salsa aren't automatically provided here, and I can't say whether I got chips for free only because I ordered queso or because they've changed that policy, but regardless the salsa at least was a bonus, and it was yummy! Perfectly cool, very flavorful, nice consistency. The queso was generic but generic queso is still plenty tasty. The chips were maybe a tiny bit greasy but had a nice crunch and weren't too salty.

As for the sopes, I enjoyed them well enough. They got the fried masa rounds extra crispy on the outside. The quantity of the meat on top was a little small (more veggies and beans on these) and I also didn't think the meat itself was super flavorful, but a dash of hot sauce had me happy enough. The friendly waitress came by once or twice to make sure I was doing okay and also wished me a wonderful day on my way out, which was nice.

I'm admittedly not a huge Mexican food connoisseur, so take my evaluation with a grain of salt. I'd award the food a 3.5, personally, but the clean and colorful interior and the extremely personable and prompt service pushes me to round it up to a 4. They have a couple of hard-to-find dishes like California burritos and carne asada fries, so be sure to give them a try sometime!

Service was superb here. The cashier/receptionist/server gave great recommendations and checked how I was doing regularly, engaged in conversation, and felt like he was genuinely interested in my opinion on my food.
I got the birria tacos, they were good. The tacos had a nice crisp shell to start but quickly got soggy as I moved down the line, and that was before I dipped it in the soup. I also got a chili relleno on the side. They used a different cheese (queso fresco?) than I'm used to, and I liked it. It had a good texture and didn't run out of the chili the moment you cut it open.
Would I come here again just for the food? Probably not. But, unless I find someplace much better I would definitely come back because of the service.

Imagine a steaming, fragrant plate of pork carnitas, expertly crafted to awaken your senses and tantalize your taste buds. The tender, slow-cooked pork, marinated in a blend of zesty citrus, earthy garlic, and aromatic spices, melts in your mouth with each succulent bite. The exterior of the pork is seared to perfection, creating a crispy, golden-brown crust that provides a satisfying contrast to the moist, flavorful meat within.

As you take your first bite, your palate is flooded with the rich, savory notes of the meat, harmoniously balanced with the tangy, smoky flavors of the marinade. The pork is cooked to fork-tender perfection, easily shredding apart, while the caramelized crust offers a delectable crunch, heightening the complexity of textures in each mouthful.

The pork carnitas are nestled atop a bed of warm, fluffy corn tortillas, which act as a canvas for the array of fresh, vibrant accompaniments that elevate the dish to new heights. A generous spoonful of piquant, freshly chopped pico de gallo invigorates the dish with its bold combination of ripe tomatoes, zesty onions, spicy jalapeños, and tangy lime juice.

Beside the carnitas, a serving of savory, slow-cooked beans, topped with a layer of melted cheese, adds a creamy, indulgent dimension to the plate. The beans are seasoned to perfection, with a hint of smokiness that complements the robust flavors of the pork. Fluffy, golden rice cooked with a delicate blend of herbs and spices completes the ensemble, offering a subtle, aromatic counterpoint to the richness of the carnitas and beans.

Each bite of this pork carnitas plate transports you on a culinary journey, weaving together the rich, hearty flavors of the slow-cooked pork with the refreshing, zesty accents of the pico de gallo, and the savory, comforting notes of the beans and rice. Every element works in tandem to create a truly mouth-watering experience, leaving you craving another bite, and then another, as you savor the irresistible, unmatched flavors of this delectable dish.

SO GOOD! Stopped by on Saturday for birria and other tacos. It was nice to have real birria since moving, could use a little more heat for my tastes, but overall delicious! And the salsas are fresh, portions are huge, all for good price. Be sure to stop here!!

This place serves some of the best tacos I’ve had in all of Huntsville. Their tacos de birria came fried with the traditional birria sauce and it was off the charts. I’m looking forward to going back again to try their other menu items!
