Taco Loco Mexican Grill

This place is my husband and I's new favorite Mexican restaurant in Jasper. They're the only place that serves two things I miss and love dearly since we moved from Colorado: street tacos and lengua. They do their street tacos authentically, too! With cilantro and onion and a red or green sauce on the side.
Also, their cheese sauce is by far the best around. It's so thick and rich.
One happy customer for sure.

Such a cute place! The service was quick and the people were friendly but the food was absolutely amazing! The best street tacos I have ever eaten. The steak fajitas were mouthwatering perfection. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy making it a nice place for a quick lunch or dinner date. We ordered 1 street taco (steak) and steak fajitas to share. The portions were so big we both ate and still had leftovers to take home for later. I feel like this place doesn't get the advertisement it deserves. 10/10 recommend Taco Loco Mexican Grill to everyone and we will certainly be visiting again as soon as possible.

$18.05 for 2 bags of chips and 2 tiny salsas and small cheese dip! Cheese dip was thick, the worst dip I've ever eaten! Very disappointed!

all very good. Everything is very good. The prices are normal, the same as other restaurants. If you don't like the prices, you can open your own restaurant and have everything for free.

Coming back from Tractor Supply, looking for a place to eat. We just decided to give them a try. Oddly enough we knew someone there. Food was great, had to take part of that huge Sandwich home.

I ordered the mega burrito and I would have been better off going to Taco Bell and that's the truth!!! 14 dollars for a rice filled burrito....last time I i ordered a chimichanga and it was the same very light....i thought maybe they were just having a bad night ....no more chances from me.from now on I'll stick with taqueria Raquel down the road .....

This was definitely one of those hole in the wall type places but the food was OUTSTANDING! Way more authentic than the average Mexican restaurant we have all come to know. I didn't even mind when I was served the pork tamales instead of the chicken tamales I had ordered. It was delicious! Highly recommend

Staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, best street tacos in jasper. I highly recommend the shrimp and/or lengua street tacos.

The restaurant looked clean, but it's not a fine dining place if that's what you're looking for. It's an old Omelet Shop that I think has the same tables. The service was pretty good considering there were only two other tables being used the whole time we were there. The food was good and the prices are reasonable. I would return.

This food truck has really good options for vegan and vegetarian lifestyles. We recently got their vegetarian soft tacos and they were amazing. The only thing I didn't care for was their Mexican corn, I expected it to be on a cob, but it wasn't and we were not informed of that when we purchase the Mexican street corn. The corn seemed like it came from a can and not straight from the cob. It tasted okay but it was very watered down and did not have that authentic Mexican street corn flavor.
Overall I'm very satisfied with their service, selection and quality of the vegetarian tacos that we ordered.
I will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items but not the Mexican Street corn.

This is a Great little eye catcher driving down the road. We stopped in on our way back out of town and they had great food. So if you want Mexican Food this is it.

Owner is an authentic Latin-X, how cool is that!!! also Chief Cook and bottle washer, and waiter, and the one that runs your credit card. His Gen Z daughter (I assume) is like all the rest of the "oppressed minorities" and tries to look busy. She doesn't succeed, and Dad has to pick up her slack. Maybe that explains why the food is unappetizing, WAY too salty, poorly presented, flavorless, and poorly cooked. Don't waste your money. I had "Montezuma's Revenge" the entire next day, having stomach distress and at least 2 dozen trips to the bathroom. This was problematic as we were hitting all the fake "antique malls" in the area and I had to curtail my fun by staying near a commode, ANY commode. I believe I used all the fresh water in the city; sorry about that. I think I'll report this restaurant to the Health Dept.

Absolutely delicious authentic street tacos! I was surprised to taste something so legitimate in Jasper, Alabama! Their salsa verde is also delicious (it’s not extremely spicy like most).

Ordered the Mega Burrito about 6" long with hardly any meat, nothing Mega about it for there rip me off price. They must use a measuring or weight tool for the meat. Extras like Sour cream, Beans or Avocado is outrageously over priced. All together 1 mega burrito, 3 tacos $25 and some change. Won't be coming back. 1 star should be 0 stars.

Hubs and I had lunch at Taco Loco today, this was our first time. After salsa and chips, we enjoyed chicken chimichanga with salad and hubs had beef chimichanga with rice and beans. Everything was VERY FRESH, tasty and cooked perfectly. Server was awesome, adding to the experience! You should go! We will again…

Ordered was we usually get, the street tacos with carne asada. Everything was normal, chatted with the new owner told him we always eat here! Drove back home and I couldn’t wait to eat my good. To my surprise, there was hair in two out of my four tacos and on of them didnt even have that much carne asada; looks like they grabbed a small spoon and put some on there. I called back and they told me to come back in. We decided on a refund because to be frank I lost my appetite. He was rude and told me they don’t do this and to just not expect it. Very poor experience with new owners. The cheese dip was also not great. Wouldn’t recommend that either.

This is the same restaurant that used to be the omelette shop and then the Jasper diner, just in case anyone was wondering. The food is ok but nothing spectacular. It's better than what taco bell has to offer tho. It's pretty clean and the servers are friendly and the prices are adorable

Food was typical Mexican style. Management is different to deal with. They got my pick up order incorrect. I call and the manager became very defensive and refusedtolistentomy concerns. I don't recommend.

I visit this place regularly and am never disappointed. In my opinion, THE BEST food in Jasper!!!! You have to try Taco Loco if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been going to this place for years but yesterday was the last time. The steak tortas barely had any meat on them. The Pozole hardly had any pork or hominy. I paid $5 for a side of rice and could have held it all in my fist (use to be a whole metal container). They wouldn’t throw in a chips and salsa on a $60 to go order (late thought on my part but still). I’ve always loved this place but that was not worth what I paid!

The food is very good. The staff is friendly but when I paid for my food they automatically charged me a 15% gratuity and a $1.39 fee for using a debit card. The waitress decided to give herself a $4.00 tip but did not ask me about it first. I only had 2 people at my table. ...beware of the extra charges....

My husband and myself went there yesterday for a late lunch and it was very good . My husband had the chicken burrito with rice , and I had the loaded fries with steak and it was hot and delicious. First time going there and we will for sure be going back . The people was friendly . And the prices was reasonable.

Absolutely love the food , in my opinion it’s better than Cabos San Lucas and Los Reyes ! I had the shrimp , chicken , and steak street tacos . It was super good . I forgot to take a pic of the shrimp and steak street tacos , but I remembered to take the half eaten chicken street taco . My husband had the chimichanga, he loved it . Everytime We come here they never disappoint!! I love the atmosphere and the staff !!

It is not the most revolutionary Mexican food I've ever had, but it was good. They were quick in getting the food out to us, everything was hot and filling. Wait staff was friendly and funny. Overall good food for a good price, nothing fancy but it doesn't pretend to be. Likely to come again if I'm ever in the area

Ordered curbside to try since they were recommended to us. That was the best Tex-Mex I've had! Hot and fresh steak quesadillas (highly recommend) and chips with their queso which is in the top 3 of any I've had, including ones I've made myself. We will absolutely be back when we can.

ABSOLUTELY some of the BEST Mexican food around... We just happened to stop on our way back from PCB and it was DEFINITELY the right choice! The service was great and the FOOD... OH!! MY!! LORT!! The Street Tacos 🌮 was on POINT!!

The best Mexican food in Alabama! Come here for authentic Mexican cuisine and excellent service at an affordable price. My favorite dish are the Camarones a la Diabla but every item I've had on the menu has been amazing. My favorite place to go on Fridays.
