2nd left buffet trip and everything was just as wonderful as the first time! Also added pictures.
My husband wanted to try their lunch buffet while he was in town. We went in around noon on a Sunday. It was not very busy at all, 2 or 3 other tables while we were there. The host and waiter were very friendly and helpful. The decor and art was beautiful. The main areas and restroom were clean and tidy.
For a small buffet, they had a good variety of options and everything was hot or cold as it should be. Everything was fresh and delicious! I thought it was great, my husband thought it was good but a bit too salty. I can't have anything spicy but he had everything with hot sauce so that may have been what was salty since I didn't find it salty at all.
Overall a great experience and will definitely be back! But be warned, the bathroom was quite cool so the toilet seats are a bit brisk!

My new favorite!! They have an excellent health score, AUTHENTIC, the Aquas are fresh 🤤, the best hot sauce ever, everything was super fresh and delicious!!!!! I LOVE IT! 10/10 highly recommend!! Edited 2 show our 2nd trip which was amazing. I had the monster taco & my husband had the special dinner. Both were excellent!

I love this place! I wish it got more hype! The food is delicious, the prices are great, and the service is amazing! What else could you want! Plus the health score is great as well! The chips and salsa are AMAZING 🤤. I got the La Costa Plate and it may be my new favorite food. My family went here because everywhere else had a wait of 30-40 minutes, I was skeptical at first but I WILL be coming back!!

This was a great authentic Mexican restaurant (not that I'm an authentic Mexican haha). Typical lunch and dinner combos, the food came out hot and everything was fresh and delicious. I think the only thing that was a little frustrating was that they brought my wife's quesadilla meat and all out well before her sides and even her shells (probably about 10 mins prior so we were concerned about things getting cold). Restaurant was clean, bathrooms were acceptable but could've been improved. Service was a little lacking. We didn't seem to have a consistent waiter and several different people came to our table during our visit. We did not get steady drink refreshments. I'd say it's a decent spot but I wouldn't go out of my way for itll. Family of 4 spent $48. They do offer a military discount.

Everything was delicious! We had the lunch fajitas and split them and it was plenty of food for two people. We also both got a margarita a piece. Very fair prices and the chips were hot and fresh when they came out. The beef and vegetables for the fajitas was seasoned beautifully. The patio area is lovely and we will definitely be coming back! We also had great service!

Charged me on a to go order almost $30 dollars for cheap little burrito and a very plan quesadilla. I suspect he over charged me on purpose because I called in order and I didn’t want to turn the order away so I paid but I definitely don’t recommend.

Our waitress Monica C was not great tonight. It started out okay but then I had a fly in my water. Then they brought out the wrong food (shrimp fajita). I ordered the shrimp chimichanga and Monica repeated it but she got my order wrong. She didn’t even apologize for getting the order wrong. The beans tasted like an odd plastic flavor almost like they were moldy. My rice was cold and I asked churros. Again, Monica repeated it and never brought it out cause she then walked away and then handed us the check and there was no churros on the receipt. A huge party of 12 came in with kids running around the entire restaurant screaming and being loud which I thought was ridiculous. The parents should have controlled there kids better than having them screaming and running around from table to table causing a disturbance to the guests. This place is usually good but tonight the service, atmosphere, and the food was bad.

This restaurant deserves your patronage. Great food, friendly staff, and not enough customers. The Caribe quesadilla is awesome! Salsa is fresh and spicy. Outstanding food encounter, but it is sad to see so few customers. More diners are necessary or this really good Mexican restaurant won't be here.

We ordered carne asada tacos and the vegeterian combo. The carne asada tacos were bland and needed a lot of toppings to taste good. The quesadilla in the vegeterian combo was so salty it was inedible. The enchilada and burrito have a red sauce on them that tasted like pizza sauce. The sauce was very sweet and had absolutely no spice at all. The beans in the burrito were also bland.

12JAN24 I stopped here looking for something different. Here I found it. The service was excellent. The place was clean, and decorated nicely. I ordered the burrito that had, pork, chicken, mushrooms, and chorizo placed in sections. It reminded me of a dish called Los socials from Peppers in Shalimar FL. The pork section had the mole sauce covering it and it was very tasty - the back house there love cooking great food. This dish was excellent as each bite was different. Thank you for offering such a dish. The salsa picosa was spot one with some mole sauce blended in! Margaritas were nice.

Ordered delivery. One small bag of chips for an order of salsa and a large cheese dip. No fresh tomatoes that were an add on. Instructions were to deliver to back door. They came to the front. And phone number to call and rectify the order is just silent no answer, no busy signal and abruptly drops your calls. Expected better.

The last two times we were there, something has changed. There is loud music coming from the back competing with the music in the front. It was so loud from the back that our heads were spinning and you absolutely could not talk to your family.

Don't waste your money!! We came in at 1230 on Friday. Buffet had a few tamales on it. Few other things but had been out since 11. We keep asking when was more food coming. Nothing. Didn't get chips and salsa Nothing. Then they blocked me on facebook for saying something. Just fix the problem

Update: The service on my last few visits has greatly improved. The food was also better. I'm not sure what changed, but the place is definitely better.

The food was pretty good, the service was really slow. I expect that on nights when a restaurant is crowded, but there were less than 20 people in there tonight. I'm sure I'll eat here again, hopefully with quicker service.

Cons: The food. Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten in my life. The taco was cold, and the burrito tasted bland and greasy.

I wouldn’t mind coming back for just having drinks and nachos, but I’ll never eat a meal here, again.

We went to try the buffet on a Sunday afternoon and were super disappointed. They had very few options…no enchiladas, tamalas, burritos, etc. All of the food was dry and cold!! For $13.99 a person you’d be better off to go somewhere else. We will definitely not be back.

Was wanting to try the buffet. It needs work. Not much to choose from. Mostly chicken. No enchiladas, no tamales, no guacamole, just a pan of plain ground beef. Mostly soups or something. May try again sometime from menu and see if better. Sopapillia was nacho chips with sugar and cinnamon not fluffy dessert. May try again.

Everything is an upcharge and the food literally tastes the same as every Mexican restaurant. They should warn you about the upcharges, and a teeny bowl of queso is 6 usd. Won't be back and won't recommend. Too expensive. Ask for a side of sour cream, they bring a huge spoonful that nobody could eat and then charge another 3 usd for that, and that was replacement for something else

I have no idea where all the raving reviews are coming from, because the food we got today was not even remotely good. I've been slowly trying out all the "authentic" Mexican food joints in the Athens/Madison area and I'd put this one right down there with taco bell. I got the carnitas street tacos, taquitos plate, and sopapillas. The carnitas was so dry it wasn't even palatable (ironically, the tortillas were soggy). How do you even make dry carnitas?! The taquitos were mediocre, but edible at least, but the rice that came with was soggy and completely bland- I'm not convinced that it wasn't overcooked Minute rice with food coloring. The sopaipillas were tortilla chips with Hershey sauce instead of fluffy fried dough (think beignet) with sugar and honey. Maybe dine-in is better than delivery, but I won't waste any money giving it another chance.

Great atmosphere, like the way it's set up with ample personal space around each table-not tightly squeezed together like many restaurants.
Margaritas were good, cheese dip too; server was nice, not too invasive but made sure we didn't lack for any needs.

The food here is decent, although their claw machine keeps playing "Polly Wolly Doodle" on repeat as nauseam, so I'll never dine here again. I suppose carry-out would be fine. I just don't want to hear the same children's song over and over again while I'm eating.

I love this restaurant! It's the best in Madison and my go to when I want a great dinner or lunch. I order from them a lot on Doordash and they always read my special instructions and get it right! When I dine in, they are so attentive. I consider them my comfort food! Bravo for doing such a great job!

Well the food is still pretty good, but the service wasn't great. Would still go again.

Great location, great food, and great service. They give free chips and salsa (although the salsa is a little weak and too sweet). The menu here is great and full of fun and interesting dishes. It's not just the boring quesadillas and tacos you see at some places.

The drinks and tasty and very strong. They also have a huge patio. Would certainly go again.

Salsa was okay. The service was terrible. We were 2 of maybe 10 customers. Waited over 30 minutes for a refill of a drink. Our food came out wrong and then when we decided to leave and wanted to pay we explained the food was wrong and that we just wanted to go. We were told that we ordered our food wrong?

Words can’t describe how bad the aftermath of this place is. We walked in, sat down, waited a solid 30 minutes for our food. Food was very mediocre and so was the atmosphere. I’m writing this review while sitting on the throne that i’ve been on for 2 hours now. I promise guys, it’s not worth it.

Food was surprisingly great. We have tried several Mexican restaurants in town and this is one we would go back to. Service was good but we went at 5 when there was only (1) server on shift and he was great. Cheese dip could just a little more love but other than that everything was great!

It was our first time to eat there. Good food, great service, we will go back.

We love it! I would definitely call this place a hidden gem. It was a really great atmosphere and great food 😋. Only downside might be that it was a bit harder to get in and out of the parking lot. Definitely will be coming back!

My first visit on Cinco De Mayo was amazing, we came back a week later and it wasn't near as good. I ordered the same dish. I will give them that they may have experienced an off day. (No it wasn't the drinks in May 5th, I had one margarita both days)
