Very good Mexican restaurant. I came with a large group and it was slow to get service but the food was wonderful. I got a pineapple tea (amazing!) and chipotle shrimp.

My favorite restaurant in the Madison/Huntsville area; we had to stop while in the area. I always get the same thing, the three amigos which is a mixture of steak, shrimp and chicken. The food rarely disappoints and was on the table soon after ordering.
The wife ordered a quesadillas and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very hard to find good Mexican food here in Alabama. I've lived in Southern California most my life. Tried a Chicken Chimichanga and a cheese enchilada both really good. Only wish the enchilada sauce was a little spicier. Chips and salsa were also great. Server was very good and food came out quick but really hot.

First time there & it was a good experience. It was lunch time, I got the Speedy Gonzales which made me laugh. It had a beef taco & beef enchilada, refried beans. The shell of the enchilada was a negative. It was too hard when it should have been soft. I also got an extra chicken taco & tea. I did get a chance to eat the chips & salsa, but I’m picky about those things, & theirs just looked ok. Chips too thick, salsa too dark. I spent $16 or so. I did enjoy the lunch with my co workers. The atmosphere was good & I’ll be back definitely .

0623 - Salsa was off the test. It was like tomato paste. Fried ice cream was just a soft serve.

1123 - Food was seasoned enough to enjoy.

This is definitely my favorite local sit down Mexican food restaurant. I feel bad that I've slept on them for so long. I recently went a second time and can't wait to go back.

The staff is very friendly. Great both times. The margaritas are good and the food is delicious! The first time I had Burri-Queso burrito. I'm a sucker for huge burritos topped with sauce and it was everything I wanted. The next time I went I got the Carnitas and they were delicious. Definitely enough food to eat for lunch the next day.

Also, they have daily specials. They run a deal on regular margaritas on Monday. Can't beat that!

SCAM CENTRAL. Went two separate times and they attempted to scam two separate times.

Let me say that our waitress was out-of-this-world kind and the food was good. But the first time we went, they tried to argue with us when they double charged us for the cheese dip ( $7.50). This time, my husband and I both ordered Chimichangas. His chicken, mine shredded beef. When I tell you that my chimichanga was HALF THE SIZE of his, I’m not kidding. I asked the waitress and she went to ask the kitchen to which they replied that ‘ that is how they do it’ what? The manager ( I assume) ends up coming over trying to give every excuse in the world and I simply keep repeating myself because even to them, it was obvious that mine was significantly smaller. He proceeds to look at me dead in the eye and says he can take off TWO WHOLE DOLLARS!!! How generous omg.

My husband ends up saying that he can just take the whole plate back to which the man immediately turns to him and says ‘ well she is ok with it’ UHHH no I wasn’t.

Anyways, I understand these people are trying to penny pinch wherever they can, but don’t try to gaslight your customers into believing your lie. As good as the waitress herself was, I won’t be coming back. I would suggest she go to a better business.

My son was getting over being sick and was very hungry for Mexican food, and so I decided to treat the family. We were very pleased with the food, the service, and the overall experience at Old Mexico Cantina. My son ordered the street tacos. He was very happy with the taste, but did say it was a little spicy (haha). I ordered the Old Mexico Enchiladas. Delicious. My wife ordered the Fajita Quesadilla. I was surprised when she cleaned her plate! We've been to Old Mexico Cantina few times now. We're usually pleased with the food and the prices are very reasonable.

Enchilada meat was overcooked and burnt. Waaaay too much enchilada sauce poured on top. Ordered tamales an they were covered with sauce which made them taste gross. Tortillas were not home made, store bought which is a shame for a Mexican restaurant. Overall I will not be going back there ever again.
The waitress was nice and always coming to check on our table.

One of the best options for Mexican sit down in Madison. Consistently very good food and service. They're margaritas are excellent. I'm not impressed with their fajitas, but they're burritos are excellent as is several other entrees.

I have been eating at this establishment for close to 20 years. I've never had such YUMMY food! I had a chicken taco salad, to go, and chips with queso.

We appreciate the fact that vegans can find something to eat here! They have quite a few vegetarian options that you can ask for no cheese on. Vegetable fajitas are really good as are all of the vegetarian selections on the menu. Would like to sit at their outdoor patio for lunch. Even though the patio is not very fancy it’s comfortable and then they afternoon it’s in the shade completely. Staff is very friendly, and the prices are good. Great place to bike to on a sunny day for a bite to eat with a draft beer.!

Service was great! The whole staff was friendly and everything appeared neat and clean. Out of three meals, two were four stars and one was just three stars however. Mostly because of the temperature: hot stuff wasn't that hot and cold stuff wasn't that cold. Portions are generous though. Will definitely give them another try next time I'm in town to see if the kitchen was just having a bad afternoon.

This is my second time going here. The first time at least the service was good. This time.... on top of the food not being good it was cold. Seems like the only thing that was good was the cheese dip cause my son ate that up. The fresh drinks were beyond sweet. And when it came to paying I was the only one that ordered a meal and that came up to almost $40 for just 1 person. When I brought it up to my server he kept making excuses and basically saying well I can't help you. Hands down worst experience......

Food is decent, pretty standard Mexican food. Service has been fantastic every time. I do have beef with their drink menu prices. They don’t reflect the correct prices. In this instance, the price of the pitcher was 17% higher than the menu price. Had I known the correct price that could have influenced my decision. Just a forewarning.

We asked for something else to replace and it was almost like pulling teeth to get them to offer anything. At first they said there was nothing.l they could too until I pushed them on it. Kids cheeseburger and fries were definitely not fresh. Overall disappointed.

We had lunch on the Friday before Christmas. Food as just okay. They sat us in the bar section with decorations, dark, and sports news on TV. The service was really slow and pretty much non existent. For me,
Corralejos Mexican Grill has spoiled me. We were coming here today because it was closer to home but next time I will just drive the extra difference.

We always have our local tile setter meeting there.
Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks.
For a party of one, or 25, this is the place.
I had the taco lunch special, and was delighted by the simple yet delicious meal.
My friend had the Hawaiian chicken, which looked amazing, and I'm trying next time.

My family's favorite Mexican restaurant in Madison & Huntsville based on several outstanding lunch and dinner experiences! Tonight my daughter and I shared a huge entree of Chile Chiapaneco (poblano pepper filled w spinach, shrimp, steak, cheese, served on red sauce w refried beans and guacamole), and a side of pork tamales. Freezing temps predicted tonight and it was already chilly outside when we arrived for dinner so I ordered a hot coffee. Even the coffee was delicious. Daughter had flan, which she recommends. Wait staff service is always excellent! Great chips & salsa too!

Excellent service from Gerardo & Balthazar. My other daughter is the one who recommended Old Mexico Cantina to us in the first place. You won't be disappointed!

We've been eating at Old Mexico since before Theo actually took it over as his own. Family owned and operated, in all these years I only had something that wasn't good one time. It was a dish I often get there, and that evening it was just not right. I told him, and he brought me another, which was also not right, so he brought me a third one. It was perfect. I had identified some meat that was off, and he was able to pull it rather than maybe lose customers. They care about their customers and their business's reputation.

Easy to get a table. Service was adequate. Just had to hunt down the waiter for the check. Pricing was very fair for what I got.

About the food, chips were good and the salsa had good flavor a little on the tomato side. I ordered a lunch special which was a quesadilla, beef enchilada, and beef burrito. I would say the everything just seemed middle of the road for a Mexican restaurant. Nothing that screamed I need to come back here or even this restaurant is better because of "this".

I’m new in town and this was not a great experience. I ordered a top shelf margarita and it was nothing but sugar. I couldn’t taste any tequila. The food wasn’t seasoned well and it was way over priced.

Do not know what happened this particular day. Went in for lunch, ordered a glass of sangria, took a sip and was not the kind I was use to. I told the waiter he said ok and took the full glass back to the back. I then ordered a top shelf margarita which was ok. When I reviewed my bill it still had the glass of wine on it. The manager said because he was losing business because he had to pour it out I Was RESPONSIBLE my lost. His lost as well.

Simple big plates of freshly Mexican Food!!!
Get the Beef Queso delish . We got that and Tres Amigos ( chicken steak shrimp on a bed of rice and grill charred Jalapeño ) Burro Queso ( Flour tortilla with chicken steak and shrimp rice and cheese fresh grilled charred jalapeño ) .
Both entrees came out hot and presentation was typical Mexican ( ALOT)
Price are super reasonable!!!

The price is right on the lunch menu, but it's comparable to other, much better, places. I got a quesadilla, a burrito, and an enchilada. The cheese in the quesadilla wasn't even fully melted, the enchilada sauce is very tomato-y and cheap tasting. The ground beef in my burrito was dry. The salsa was not especially spicy or flavorful.

All in all a very mediocre experience.

Food is great. Probably the best queso dip in town. Most are pretty watered-down, but here it's nice and thicc to stick to your chips. I highly recommend the chocolate chimichangas for dessert; so good!!! Service could have been a little better, we barely got the one refill that we did get. But otherwise they were super nice!

So far this is my favorite Mexican place to eat. I travel all around the US and so far I haven’t found one that mixes the flavors to my taste like they do.

We almost always order on the phone and pick it up to eat at home.

My favorite dish is the Cameroon’s Diablo. Word of caution, sometimes there is a good flavor to spicy that is just right, sometimes it is spicy to even me which is great for me but may not be right for others. The Molcajete is another pretty amazing dish.

While it seems silly to go to a Mexican place and get a burger, thank goodness they have the cheese burger for kids, my daughter loves their cheese burger.

My son loves the grilled chicken nachos, I have to admit they smell so good not all the nachos make it to his plate by the time my wife and I get it home.

Many of my co-workers really enjoy this venue and rave about the chicken, cheese, and rice meal. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves Mexican in the part of town, you should definitely give this place a try.

Very disorganized. Servers were constantly bringing food to the wrong tables. I never received my food and the waitress never came to check on us after the everyone else’s food came to the table. Was given a bill for food I never received.
There are so many other Mexican restaurants around, go to another one.

Great food, the closest we’ve found to what we were accustomed to back in Missouri. The salsa is delicious!! Staff is always friendly and gets you seated and served quickly even on a busy Friday evening. Prices are reasonable too.
