First time eating @ this spot & I must say it was nice. I see a lot of traffic in and out a I figured it just had to be a good spot to eat at. My family and I gave it a try on a rainy Saturday and it was great. Great health score, great customer service and the food was fast and hot. Prices are reasonable as well. Waiter was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. We will return in the future

Absolutely amazing. The pollo asada was perfection, the only way to describe it. It was grilled to perfection and paired with fresh grilled veggies. I’m told the chimichanga was delicious as well. The salsa that comes with chips tasted very fresh. I plan on going back.

Really great food and service. The frozen Raspberry Margarita was fantastic. The salsa and guacamole were both really good. A huge menu with selections you cannot find at other Mexican restaurants in the River Region.

The server was not friendly at all! He was very straight to the point and offered nothing extra to make me want to come back. Customer service doesn’t have too be outstanding or perfect but it does need too be considered! My wine was hot which is terrible and I did not like the food quality. The meat was not seasoned it was very dry and the sauce was watery. I enjoyed the time with my sisters and friends

entering a quiet atmosphere , you are greeted with crispy chips , chunky salsa, a friendly waiter, and nice tunes. With a vibrant visual appeal. You proceeded to order , eat , and leave. 10/10!

After waiting for nearly 20 minutes to get someone to take a our drink orders, when there were only two other tables with people sat in the restaurant, we watched them sit and serve a 10 top table still before ever even taking our drink order. The food was decent the first time we ate here but if this was how the second visit goes then we won’t be back again.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. The guacamole 🥑 dip was to die for and highly recommended. I had the shrimp, chicken, and beef fajitas and had to take home half for a second meal.

My husband and I came in here during my lunch hour and had to wait almost 20 minutes just to order because our waiter disappeared and all the other waitresses decided to sit at a table and play on their phones and chit chat. When we were finally able to order, I ordered the Burrito California and when it came out there were one or two pieces of steak tucked into the end of it and the rest of it was a tortilla filled with rice. When I informed the waiter of this he looked at me and said, "Ok so what do you want me to do about it?" Very rudely and with a nasty tone in his voice. I will never come back to this place don't waste your time or money here. Not worth the hype. Believe me. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

This place is horrible. Service here sucks you try to get an employees attention, and they just ignore you and continue to play on their cellphones. And your server is never to be found.

First time coming here. Its close to my parents house. Walked in to place a to go order and had to wait for two girls at the counter to stop talking to take my order. I asked for suggestions as all mexican restaurants are a big different, and was told its just regular mexican. Then it took about 20 minutes to get the food. Food was okay not great but with their being 25 Mexican restaurants in the area you take your chance.

Taco salads were very good. Chips & salsa were fresh--a little too much cilantro in salsa. Would have given a better service rating had our server not spent so much time sitting at the bar reading his phone while we had to ask others for drink refills.

I don't think they like black people. I stood there and no one asked can I take your order. Tried them today got my food it was wrong I called them and the girl answered the phone and said what do you want!!!
My order was not right I took it my food back and I got my refund. I'm telling you I really think this restaurant has a problem with black people but they're immigrants

Be aware of your tickets. We go here 2-3 times a week and normally have a decent experience. Today went for lunch and noticed my bill was higher than normal. We’re sat with the lunch menu in front of us and ordered off of it. When we got the bill we’re charged dinner prices. The cashier nor the waiter would fix the bill and when asked for the manager said “he wasn’t there.” The attitude of not caring about the customer did it in for me when we have been patrons for almost 10 years. Admittedly I don’t normally check the bill, so who knows how many times this has actually happened.

Was hoping for a more authentic experience but this is very much a regular run of the mill restaurant. Ordered the carnitas and a vegetarian combo along with a mango daiquiri margarita. I can say that there could not have been any alcohol and for 14 bucks there should have been. The carnitas were ok but I had a huge chunk of fat in mine. The vegetarian combo was so bland. The salsa was the best thing I ate. The waiters were too busy chatting with the hostess to pay any attention. Ended up getting up to get our own to go boxes and asking at the counter to pay our bill. I doubt there is any chance of me choosing to return. Too many menu options and pricing is a bit high compared to other places with better food.

My family has been raving about this place since they had it two or three years ago. We all decided to go together, (maybe 8 people). Service was incredibly slow, the margaritas had very little alcohol and also didnt taste very good, the food portions were small, and nobody cared for their food. After my getting a $60-$65 dollar ticket, I will not be returning. Strongly suggest another restaurant, McDonald's is pretty close to this location if you need an alternative place to eat. You'll have a better experience, I'm sure.

Great service. Tried the frozen raspberry margarita because it was recommended by another customer and it was really good. Chicken quesadilla was really good. Salsa is a bit on the spicy side but not too spicy. Other than it being a bit too salty the chimichanga was good. Veggies are fresh. We were happy with our visit.

Food was very salty to the point it was inedible but when I told them about it they just shrugged it off and didn't even offer a refund or to remake it. I had to pay full price for food I couldn't even eat.

Went here for cinco DE Mayo and was very disappointed. It was our 1st time here and our food was over an hour before we got it and it was cold. We complained about the food being cold They took it back and supposedly made it new for my wife but it came back almost identical to the way it went into the kitchen and was still cold. My food was barely warm after being taken back Like they just put it under the salamander to melt the cheese again But it was barely melted. Our drinks were good. But my wife's food was cold my kids food was cold And mine was barely warm. No one ever asked us if we wanted any more drinks But they did however Bring us 3 baskets of chips while we were waiting. I understand cinco DE Mayo being a very busy day But it happens every year and they should be more prepared. Not sure if we will ever return..

Usually we have great experiences with Habeneros when we order take out, but after calling in and driving there 20 minutes, still waited, drove home and order wasn't correct. Really disappointed. Food that was right was great!

I have been going to Habanero’s every week for about a year now. I usually always got the $1.99 margarita and a tostada. I know that’s not much but adds up considering I go every week. The waiter was extremely rude to me last Thursday after serving me a margarita in a broken glass. I will not go into detail but will never step foot into that place.

The food was good except the tortillas soup didn't say anything on the menu about having caulflour, carrot, and broccoli, large chunks in it on the menu. I picked it all out. We were eating and then our lunch was interrupted with the smell of thick cigarette smoking. Since we are from a city that doesn't allow any smoking it was very offensive. I got a soar throat bc of it. All 6 of us left.

Usually service and food is great. Food was great tonight but service was slow. Basket of chips was almost half way gone before the cheese dip showed up but only after we reminded server about it. Had to ask 3 times for the check. Asked to talk to the owner but he never came out. Got tired of waiting and finally left. I have never had anything like this happen before. The food was not the issue so I'm still giving this four stars for this visit.
